It's funny. By definition an American fan supporting an English club is "plastic" because of a decision to not support a local team but one in a foreign country thousands of miles across the ocean. But then does that mean we can only be a "true supporter" of our local MLS/USL club? "I LOVE SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES AND ALL OTHER SOCCER TEAMS CAN GO TO HELL!!"
I follow ONE English club, but I know an American supporter who is only into MLS, supports ONLY his MLS side and no English or other foreign clubs. He believes Americans don't need to be in the Premier League or other foreign leagues and would develop just as well playing in the MLS. He's definitely not "plastic" but...

There was no need for the trouble there. I often see away fans where I sit at Leeds. I go and chat with them. There's far too much hatred in Football. I went to Leeds 1 Millwall 2 in our 1988/89 Promotion campaign at Easter and we spent 3/4 days at Holmfirth and Skipley..
Millwall end was full and we went into the leeds seats on the side at the home end.At the end a few leeds fans saw us smile and looked threateningly at us and we deserved an Oscar as our smiles turned into a pained grimace and sorrow at our" loss."Once we were out of Leeds we sang all the way home because we " knew" after 100 years we were, finally, going to go to the top division and we did 1 month later :) If we had celebrated we would not be here now, my friend....

The biggest disgrace here isn't the fact theres a leeds fan in the home end.. It was that Bolton fan wearing a QPR shirt above.

As a lifelong Chelsea fan I relished getting in the others end. At 60 bo and still liking some banter and a laugh I found mtself with 5 mates in with the scousers in the League Cup last year and we was going bonkers. They were trying to tell us to get out, throwig things at us getting all gobby. But after hitting a couple that were swinging their handbags around the old bill come and chucked us out - well they walked us round the edge of the ground and placed us with our own supporters - for their safety!
