@One.Castaway Nice video 👍 does the blu bullnose work the best? Cause its more cost effective then other brands like bkk mustad, It's a shame about the GT that's fishing I went fishing I had no hopes on catching anything cause of the weather this week but I caught a banana fish/whiting really weird fish but a Lekker eating one😂 you can also use it as bait I wish I knew it when I was holding the fish but too beautiful fish
@@One.Castaway thanks bud! will a 200m of boss braid 3x 20lb be good for the loomis and franklin force 4000 or which affordable braid would you reccomend? Cause on my other setup my line broke on a fish which was 5lb nylon felt like a big one Keep up the catch and release video looking forward to more!🎣
@@Ben-o4m9wPleasure Ben! Haha you always ask me the most interesting questions 😁 Always happy to answer them! I’d recommend putting some mono backing on first before the braid.. I don’t think that 200m Boss will be able to fill a 4000 size spool. But yeah that 20lb Boss Finesse Braid is crazy strong! I was using the 10lb version in this video
@@One.Castaway thanks for letting me know really helps I just have one more question how to you spool your line on your reels and does color matter in any type of line?
@@Ben-o4m9wJust tied a clinch knot to the spool. I don’t think the colour really matters when you tie a fluorocarbon leader.. I’ve used lumo green/yellow braid in the past with no issues 👍
Long ago we used to fish for bullseye kingfish at the end of the pier. Jumping between dolos's was scary. The fish were very active when there was an easterly wind chop on the water. Those days we used blue and white rubber squid. Im sure we would have caught a lot more using jerk minnows
@@keegananderson7311 Howzit Keegan, thank you so much man! I use a Double Uni Knot (Uni to Uni Knot) and it’s never failed me 💪 I’ve tried all the other fancy ones and they don’t hold as strong..
Thanks this gave me more confidence that I would be able to catch a bonito on the assassin Tempest MH and the Sahara 3000 and be fine. Awesome Video keep it up ✌
Harchies on missing out on that monster Brandon. You'll get him next time. Thanks again for the content 🙏🏽 Do you park at Garveys and walk to South Pier?
@@sudhirchetram2713 Thanks man! 🫶 Yeah you can’t catch them all unfortunately.. Takes a lot of patience and learning to get those larger ones! Tight Lines 👌
Thank you for the description tackle used
No Problem! 💪

Those Bullseye Kingfish are amazing! Sounds like a crazy session.. Thanks for sharing 🙏
It happens Bru. I landed a small one there recently.
Happens to all of us bro especially on ultralight , a GT is such a bully.... Love catching em though....
Yeah man.. a few lessons learnt from this fight. But that’s what makes it fun! Tight Lines 👌

@@keegananderson7311 Shot Keegan 🤙🤙
Lekker video mate , Tell me how did you got there ? I thought it prohibited to fish there ? how do I get license to fish there ?
Thanks man! You’ll need a permit to access it, and your fishing license. Unfortunately not open to the public 🙏
Is it still possible to get access to South Pier, or you one of the lucky few who have the old access cards ?
One of the lucky ones 🍀🤞🏼

Awesome combo, you’ll definitely be sorted! 💪 Just have to play them smart. A lot of people underestimate the size of fish you can catch on Ultralight
Is it safe to eat Walla Walla
@@HeganChettiar No idea.. I only catch and release. Plus I wouldn’t eat anything out of the Harbour Port 🫣
Howzit, that was a nice fish you lost, but keep on trying.
I also just want to know how to get a permit to fish there at South Pier.
Thanks! It happen.. just gotta keep trying 🙏 I’m not too sure.. I just fortunately go with a friend who has the permit
Oh ok, thanks@One.Castaway

absoluteley gutted for you losing that fish. try and try again and you will eventually get that monster on ultralight.
@@miggieza6304 Thanks man.. that’s just fishing hey 😓 I’ve caught before on Ultralight (peep my profile pic) Same setup 💪 I’ll get him again soon!
You need more patience dude can't singe the drag that much on light line
Yeah man! Lesson learnt 🙏 Drag was way too loose to start with. Wasn’t expecting a GT lol
