Thanks for the video. I have a 870 tac from 2014 collecting rust. Just got it back to normal and was considering a rail but I do not like the idea of drilling the holes for attachments. This seems to be it.
I’ll let you know how it does as next week we’re hitting the range with slugs. It’ll be with and without a rifled choke and we’ll measure groups. So far it’s been great
It does look like it does a bit but it ejects and chambers loads perfectly. I’ll post another video soon of our range day to test it. The hand loads were awesome so the next trip will be to group and measure them.
I just snugged them up in good and tight mode without going too crazy and some blue lock tight as always. The whole assembly was an exact fit so the tolerances are bang on. The scope hasn’t moved and I was shooting 1 oz slugs
I have a Remington 870 Express magnum with a 20 inch deer barrel with adjustable sights and set up with a rail for a scope if you want one and a 28 inch ribbed barrel with a beautiful walnut stock. And it's 25 years old. I know you will enjoy your 870.
Basically. It uses bolt holes that were used as pins to hold in the trigger assembly. It’s quite a decent setup as it’s snug and has been holding up to some heavy slug rounds. We’re getting ready to range test some new roll crimp slugs so you’ll see it in action shortly.
An old Bushnell buckhorn made in Korea. Great glass like the super old 3x9 bushnell banners made in Japan. I could hit anything in the day with that thing. It should take the smack of the 12 gauge
@@Wearestillhere306 it’s a full on rifle scope so I’m guessing no issues as it’s not a rimfire one or anything. You can probably pickup one of these at a gun show or online for 25 bucks. Some are starting to catch on to the old bushnell 3x9 scope made in Japan as well so it might be 50-60. Great glass and tough as nails as I recall.
It looks like it does but there is no impairment of functionality. I can still slap rounds into it and ejects perfectly. It’s solid and that scope is right where it needs to be.

I bought my 870 25 years ago and have never had any problems with it.
My older 12 gauge is probably the same vintage. Solid as a rock to this day

Is there a certain torque for the screws through the receiver trigger assembly?

There’s nothing like the old 870. I had one in walnut 30 years ago. That’s when they added all the extra touches and no plastic.
@@Richard-D there's nothing like the old 870 shot guns. Mine has never had a problem.
is it a picatinny rail?

@@Richard-D Thanks for the quick response! and looking forward to your slug-fest test!
What kind of scope
