    I do like the sound of the Electrostar traction motors on DC 750v 3rd Rail and on AC 25kv Overhead Lines.

    Idky but, 465 metcams seem to accelerate alot faster . Its crazy

      Solomon Clarke 375s aren’t as fast because they are on 750V DC third rail not overheads like the other trains.

      Solomon Clarke jubilee tubes are low geared so their acceleration tails off rapidly above 40 mph.

      @@daveb0789 in general networker speed is quite something. In comparison to a 375. A jubilee line is geared as such since their speed limit isnt so far off from 40, otherwise that train would probably fly up to higher speeds workout hesitation quite interesting how older trains such as those are built with such speed

      @Solomon Clarke its fair to say brel , alstom and metrocammel are quite good at their train making .

      Solomon Clarke it’s all about gradient. I can’t think of many unrestricted level starts for 0-60 runs. My railway performance society colleagues have yet to time a DC unit doing 0-60 in under 70 seconds.
