Hi friend. Unfortunately, line types are only defined inside AutoCAD. There might be a solution for this but I don't know it. Sorry if I don't have a solution.
@@madtutorialsMT my workaround was to plot to file (pdf) from within AutoCAD. Then I just import the PDF into Archicad. Only issue is I had to hand write the scale but easy to do. Thanks for replying!
Honestly, I've never used hotlinks in Archicad. even if I want to make a tutorial, it wouldn't be something more than an introduction. sorry if I let you down
@@madtutorialsMT I have 2 dwg files that im trying to get in archicad; contours and boundary site lines for a rather large area. Trying to bring them in by attaching xref method in a Worksheet but once it's inside and I close the worksheet, the attached drawing disappears! Any idea why?
@@ohdesignlab8433 i am not sure what is the reason but maybe you replace the two drawings, also make sure that both refrences are save and available in xref window, then close the archicad file
that was really useful thank you
You're welcome. I'm happy that I was helpful
Thank you about your clear and well illustrated explanations of 3 methods and different options in them.
You're welcome my friend. I'm glad that I was helpful
It was so useful for me. Thank you
Thank you, that was helpful!!
You're Welcome
Thank you! 😀
You're welcome 😜
The lines are not showing up similarly in Archicad as they look in Autocad. Colors are fine but linetypes change somewhat. Any advice? Thank you.

How to fix when file is locked by another application
When the file is locked, Archicad cannot do anything about it. First you should try to unlock the file
@@madtutorialsMT Can you guide me to unlock the file? Thank you
@@delphzz3862 honestly, I would love to, but I don't know anything about the autocad files. I can't even work or draw with autocad
