I tried what you are doing with Inkscape 0.92 and when I Trace Bitmap I get a popup, but mine is quite different than what is shown in the video. It seems that you have customized you Inkscape so that it looks quite differently than what the default looks like. In my popup screen I have to check the box which allows me to see the live preview. After ungrouping it 3 times I get the live preview, but it is not in the lower right hand corner, it is in the popup box itself. I do not have an apply button in the lower part of the screen but I do have an OK button in the popup box. This is what I clicked when I was ready to Trace Bitmap. I noticed that I had to change the unit to inches when I saved it as a .dxf file while you did not have to change it in your video. I am just making a note here as to the differences of what I had to do to make it work. I would love to have my Inkscape app customized as you have here.
I am a novice, but really learnt a lot. Though i will miss a practice session.

Great videos. An issue I am coming up with recently is importing PDFs which import with a white block over it it where when removed leaves the text behind it. Sometimes though it removes the lines also just leaving text. Other imports they are only importing small parts of the PDF For example it will import the page template with the of text, but no drawing ??

You can use any latest version of AutoCAD software for this and yes we do have AutoCAD certification courses too. Also, after finishing the course you will get a certificate from SourceCAD.

Hello my friend, mt inkscape just freeze when I click on aply the Bitmap tracker, I am trying to convert a big Cad scanned file in 1:100 scale is that normal ?
I followed your steps,however when i tried to open the DXF, AUTOCAD discarded the model, it didnt want to open it. Said file was corrupted.

Sir,when I want to ungroup for 2nd time,then there is no option of ungroup.There is only option of group. And when I click group option then I see ungroup option.
The problem is existing texts in the drawing turns into geometrical object when I’m using inkscape, how can I avoid this and keep the texts into their original format ?
Time 8:45min. My lines at this point shows double and I find it difficult to identify the actual width of the block wall bcos it is now mixed with the dimension line. Pls help

While this is nice, it makes a double line of bold or "thick" lines instead of making the line in the middle of the thicker line on the raster image.
I am a designer, and got the same problem converting an architectural plan. Did you get a reply or find a setting that eliminates the outline affect of single lines?
@@mdlongdesignultimately I ended up using inkscape to import the vector PDF, and then exporting that as a DFX. This makes for a much cleaner import, but the double lines remain. After you do this, however you can then use the much more accurate and clean file to draw a new line on the mean of the old double lines.
As the head drafter at an ENG firm, I find the pettiness of this architectural drawing to be both unprofessional and harmful to the client who had to wait an unnecessary amount of time to get the plan processed by me manually.

I tried but there are no options for DXF on Convertio
I Tried and the thick lines, convertio do double lines and the corners on curves instead 90 angle looks pretty bad
@@prettyusagi2956 look concertio may not go perfect sometimes, we know how that working noww we use other sites to do converts image to DWG or dxf iy you still facing problem then we should review togather to fix it 🫴
