    The way he recovers from big shots is incredible, thats lights out for a hell of a lot of fighters. He said in a podcast recently with James English that he knows he can't take hits forever so I believe he will be focusing on better defense for his future in the UFC. I reckon he's the next big thing, and I'll support the man his whole career, big fan

      Keeps his chin out and high, takes a lot of huge shots due to that. He also takes a lot of huge chances, which turns out in his favor, but doing that with those top five fighters might not be wise. Huge heart, great grappling, great chin so far. Needs to grow up a lot. I mean shoving food in your face and with that accent it’s hard to understand him at times and to be honest the UFC has come along way from that greasy finger licking grunt style.

    This guy does moves I’ve always wanted to see an MMA fighter to do in a fight.
    You almost never see dudes hit with big power in a grapple. It’s usually some awkward flailing.
    You never see a flying knee to the face. Or anyone actually trying to kick someone in the face, for that matter.
    You almost never see a guy who actually wants to take his opponent down and do a submission hold to win the match.
    I wish more fighters fought like this guy

    Fun, creative, talented but in almost every fight he allows himself to eat a huge shot in order to get inside, this isn’t going to work as he goes up the ladder. A talented enough striker is going to sleep him if he allows them these openings. This is probably my new favourite fighter but the boy is a reckless

    • @SunChipss
      @SunChipss 2 года назад

      While this is very sportsmanlike, it’s also dangerous. I compete in BJJ and I do not let go until the ref commands me to do so. It’s happened before where I let up on an armbar after seeing my opponent clearly tap and the ref didn’t see it and let it ride, although i choked him out shortly after but not before waiting for the ref to call it off.

    • @djodyssey99

      @@SunChipss I'm just imagining you jumping up to celebrate after he tapped and the ref just looking at you confused, like "wtf you doing, the fight still going". 🤣 That actually happened in a ACF fight (Owen Rubio vs Mike Gonzalez), where Rubio tapped but ref didn't see/call it, Gonzalez let go and just sat there; Rubio capitalized and TKO'd him.
