It's the most Irish sounding non-Irish song I've ever heard and to my knowledge no Irish singer ever covered it. It's a song by a Canadian about an American Ship
Dan as a fellow solo artist I must say your voice is extraordinary, however you've fallen into the same pattern many of us including myself of primarily playing tunes in your comfort zone similar chords etc. not a criticism just an observation I'd like to see you do some up tempo tunes as well. Normally I would say no one can match a song sang by Christie himself. Think I've just found the first one to say differently..fair play.
