It's been 15 weeks since we made the decision to order our new DRV MX450 Toy Hauler 5th wheel. Between COVID delays and the revision of DRV's interior designs, it has felt like forever! Really like the interaction on the CB radio. That’s what makes traveling bearable.
We meet some great drivers on the road Roy. It's a lot of fun interacting with them down the road. CBs aren't quite as popular as they used to be, but we're sure glad we have a radio in our truck!
Love the driving and dashcam footage. Film more of your driving days love seeing that Western Star going down the road. Can’t wait to see the new coach behind it.

Nice to see you getting closer to your new coach! Noticed the Encore park in AZ was fly a Canadian flag...not sure how many of us will make it down this winter. AZ is a second home for many Canadians during the winter.
They fly it proudly Rick! When we were there last year the residents in the park was 85% Canadian! We'll miss all of our Canadian friends this year. Hopefully we can put this all behind us soon and get back to normal. Hope all is well with you guys and looking forward to riding together.

Do u ever pull over and sleep on a on ramp? As a truck driver I didn’t have time to keep looking for a spot so I would just get me a on ramp. Try not to have to get a off ramp because if a sleepy driver comes off at u your toast but not going to fast on a on ramp
We're not very comfortable sitting on a ramp Randy, so we try and stay at a Walmart or Cabelas. We're a little concerned - as you say - a tired driver that isn't paying attention. Thanks for coming along!

June is our hit the road date. House work,painting and such going on now and trying to down size. Hard to do with 2 businesses but I can take mine with me, Great Dane Mobile Rv Service where I truly will be mobile!!

I couldn't imagine traveling around the country and paying tolls with that. What is the fuel and up keep cost? Towing. Breakdowns etc.. 😱
It's really not as bad as you might think. The purchase price is less than a 1-ton dually, our maintenance costs are about $400 per year and we are getting about 8 1/2 MPG while traveling. Haven't had a breakdown and don't anticipate one. We travel about 15 to 20 thousand miles a year and have never had an issue. Come along with us each week and we'll show you how it's done! Yes....for a little while. Out daughter's birthday is tomorrow and Thanksgiving coming up we're trying to determine what free time we might have.

Yes Gene....it's complete. You definitely need to pay attention as you proceed through it. It's a new style that we've never seen before.

We had the same problem with our furnace. The squirrel cage made of plastic blew up. The replacement squirrel cage made of metal alloy is on order. How did you fix it so quickly?

Hauling the Smart car which is the preferred transmission - Auto or Manual?
We don't know anyone with a manual smart....so I guess the automatic. The car won't let you accelerate and brake at the same time, so you have to use the emergency brake while driving on or off.
Do many RV parks turn you away because of HDT?
Please tell us what you did for a living in your former iife? Beacuse it had to do this public speaking and teaching for sure
