- The time has come... for FORZA MOTORSPORT. It's been a long wait, but early access has arrived, and I started off by expertly dropping into the online qualifiers with absolutely no practice. It was an off the charts genius level play from your truly.

You get rear ended, flung off the track and end up with a .70 penalty. The guy who smacked into you gets only a .20. Oof...

It was a nice introduction to the new game! The ending was a pain in the rear end though lol.

Ngl, FM8 feels pretty good so far. The online mp races are a lot of fun if you count out the plebs that don't know how to drive and just divebomb you every turn or brake in front of you when there's no need to. There's also a high probability that meta tunes will make a general comeback. Guys on Racing Haven are already testing the limits and how to set up the cars.
I think it's feeling good too. Having a blast trying out the hoppers. But yeah of course we're gonna have a bad apple here and there 🤣
Plenty of plebs that's for sure. Was in 3rd place on laguna seca until someone rammed me off the road

My safety rating is an S with my skill rating being ~3000 with two “middle of the pack” and one second to last finishes. The multiplayer is very enjoyable so far.

The penalty system needs some stricter guidance though. But I. Happy to see that even though you received no penalty you still got bumped down so maybe something more is being done in the background that lacuna seca penalty was bullshit though

idk if anyone else saw, but on the grand oak race, the winner isnt in first place during the entire race except for the results

Yeah I noticed that too! I stared at the results after the race trying to figure out how I got bumped down. Probably some sort of glitch or internet issue.
I got "nudged" in the second race forcing me to cast someone to the shadow realm. They got no penalty, and I got 2.25 seconds... still managed third but the domino effect should be on T10's radar
Ooof! That's rough man. Hopefully as the system gets more experience and a larger sample size they'll start to work some of the problems out.
I placed first by qualifying with a 58-59 second lap (i forgot which) but I completely stalled at the beginning of the race and dropped to last. Had to climb back up to fourth

The avoidable penalty warning was indeed correct. You did not give any way for the car and kept trying to squeeze that corner while he was already alongside you. That’s poor etiquette. So stink me up won that fair and square

Practice is irrelevant. I qualified 5th of 12 and still got 4 penalty points when some asshole crashed into the back of me.

My 919 literally snap oversteered multiple times entering Raidillion. I know how to correct oversteer but holy hell.
Yeah I have noticed a bit of oversteer. Haven't tried the LMP1s yet though.
The fastest thing I've driven is the lotus evija and they felt fine just a bit understeer when on full power other than that it's fine
Game pass noobs got me laughing I play in game pass my self but you do have a point I am the type who tries to race. Cleanly but I’m sure all the little kids will just come in and ruin the game by recking everyone

you make a good point about gamepass people comming in soon. We should probably be getting the driver and saftey rating up as high as possible before that time to avoid that when the 10th comes.

What does using the gamepass to play forza have hate for I ain't paying when I'm already paying gamepass and I'm not one to mess with on racing games so definitely not a noob
My first qualifying race was intense, myself and the guy who ended up in first were battling the entire time, and as far as I could tell everyone in the lobby was driving clean

I'm still playing forza 7 all these years later. I'm currently the 7th fastest S class racer of all time. I will definitely be going slow for my placements races to be put into lobbies where i can finished 30 seconds ahead of second place 😂

I am going to put myself through a ton of practice on those three initial qualifying tracks in that car if it is available before I even begin the process. Awesome. Been playing on PC and I got the Logitech pro wheel & pedals. Awesome so far loving it. Haven’t done any tweaking yet it seems pretty good with default settings. The builders cups are really hard until you can level up to get the cars sticking to the road. Playing expert mode and no assists to force me to get good… 💪
Nice! How are you liking the builders cup so far? I've been doing a ton of multiplayer but not so much single player so curious.
@@OldTires I’ve only done 2-3 cups but I like it. Similar curated format but it’s much deeper. Playing on expert and with no assists is forcing me to treat it realistically and build the cars to focus on drivability first. And the focus on picking a car and then building it up to be competitive with it is cool and satisfying. Definitely satisfied so far

I think this game sealed the deal on me buying Motorfest. I wanted a modern sim racer but I'm perfectly fine with a fun arcade game if the sim racing options on Xbox are this and Assetto Corsa
After playing for sometime do you think it is true that the game is made from ground up?
Hey! I do... For the most part 😂. The handling, physics, menus and tracks look and feel rebuilt. The only thing that doesn't feel "built from the ground up" are some of the cars. And some textures look a little blurry/pixelated like in the past.

I decided to try multiplayer for the first time after 2+ years. I started with "S" rating and north of 3500 skill...through 5 different races I quit and cancelling my sub for online...no matter how I raced, it ends with me being blasted off the course by a rammer, and that was even when all the competition was "S" rated...not worth the frustration and when you have players in spec races somehow running lap times way faster (north of 60 secs faster) than real life lap times I just go WTF....
I turned on "all assists" and let the AI do the qualifiers for me😢 I wanted a top tier safety rating and got it.😅 I have since take over controls and have not lost my S class rating.
I’ve got a 4,350 skill rating, and an A for safety, meaning you just barely got the S rating
This was fum and entertaining! Keep it up! Hopefully ill see you around on the track.

All assists off and manual with clutch with the untuned car I ran 1:08. Tuned the absolute shit out of it and got to a 1:06

I think the AI is a box of rocks on purpose. It feels more real and idk,
I kinda enjoy the absolute mayhem in the beginning of a race. That's not a realistic thing, but it's definitely more fun than before.
Hopefully we get a patch for penalties and some more innovations in penalty tech so it becomes a better experience for everyone.

On my second online qualifier I was in a drag race to the finish line and the guy side swiped me into the wall and it gave me a warning for an avoidable collision
That totally makes sense haha. The system could use little work.
