I was incredibly shocked that week - I couldn't believe it. I actually gave up watching American Idol that year until I saw him perform, and he just reeled me back in.
Yes! Although I have to say Adam Lambert is the brightest talent I've ever heard,[ever!] I expect great things in the future for him. Carrie is now a country superstar, and Constantine is doing great on broadway. How awesome.
I watched every moment of this season. Constantine was one of my favroites, next to Carrie. I cried when he got voted off, all of my friends wanted him to win :D
I was in kindergarten when he got voted off. I cried a river. For one, I had a little crush on him X3 For two, I grew up with Nickelback and this is the first song I heard by them.
constantine would've gone further had he done a 90s INXS or U2 song on this night's theme. those bands' songs would've suited him perfectly. i've read somewhere that he should've chosen a song from either INXS or U2 on that fateful night.
@teeftaller7 Agreed. I'm canadian so I can't vote, but I don't get how people were voting that year in some cases, including this one. I think Scott rode sympathy votes b/c of what Simon said.
This vote-off was one of the most shocking moments on TV. It really was...think back. Constantine will have the last laugh. Paula was great though. I think her tears were sincere.
I like how when someone gets eliminated, everyone acts like they just got a death sentence and are going to the gallows afterwards or something. Pretty much half of the top 12 gets record deals or something nice, so as long as you make that far, winning AI doesn't really matter much. Constantine was definitely the biggest shocker elimination, though.
he had a cd dat flopped he modeled for ralph lauren and others he has his own label and hes been in broadway shows leadding rock of ages now but carrie da robot was da best from dat season
Everyone voted-off before Scott (Lindsey-Constantine) was robbed, IMO. But Nadia and Constantine's eliminations were especially infuriating. I remember hoping that Scott wouldn't make the T12, just based on vocals/performance skills. But it was his disrespectful, obnoxious reaction after being declared safe each week and his cocky back-talk to the judges that caused me to truly *despise* him. Anyhow, I don't think American Idol has *ever* made me angrier than it did that night.
i think the reason why all of that happends all the time is because people forget about the good people sometimes and vote for the people that need the help more than anything. so they don't vote for the people that actually deserve it like daughtry, melinda doolittle, constantine, latoya london, and tamayra grey. they deserve to be there, but people just forget to vote for them! i am so with u on this though i don't think the show is rigged.
i LOOOOOVED this moment!!!! besides my fav moment when carrie won! =] i was pregnant watching this and i jumped and screamed so loud when he went home hahhahaha i hated him!!! carrie was the only talented person on this season! ily carrie!
I love this show but it has to be rigged. Every season this happens. I mean, how could the heavy set guy stay over him.. I think his name is Scott?? And Chris is bigger than any Idol.. so if America voted him off.. they why is he having so many record sales. It doesn't make sense to me.. I stopped voting after Constantine got voted out. My votes don't count. He needs to go back to RENT before it ends!!
No offense meant to Constantine but if he would have sang this song the way he did when he was voted off he wouldn't have been in the bottom votes. This performance proves what he can do ! He was on of the top 3 imo. But, such is life :(

I am a huge constantine fan. Even if he nailed all the chicks that is not why he got kicked off. He simply sang the wrong song, that is all there is to it. I cringed through the whole thing. It was awful. He shouldnt have listened to others about singing this song which is what he did. Look at the video of "I think I love you" and "my funny valentine" those songs showed him off like crazy.
between Paula and the crowd's reaction... and all the other contestants agape on the couch (nice expression Scott. dork)... is this a joke? were we all seriously supposed to be appalled by his exit? Constant-stain's version of this Nickelback song was not good at all. and some of his others (e.g. Hard to Handle) were some of the worst performances in AI history.
and u wanna noe somethin else babgrl? constantine has been a humanitarian sense forever r u community he didnt grow up rich and yet he still gives bac and he is part of make a wish foundation like i said get ur facts straight b4 u judge archuletta is GAY and he is jus another teeny bopper who will be a nobody in 5 yrs but con has a rec. company and it will grow so when he cant sing someone else will which means he will always have money so there it dont matter wat u think
