The soundtrack for Later Alligator, my collaboration with game developers Pillowfight and SmallBu Animation Studio. This is the first full large-scale game soundtrack I've been able to work on in quite some time, and the team was really creative with their needs and requests. This is 20 songs of jazz, blues, imitation ancient recordings and some completely random surprises. I really got to work my range and use neat equipment and samples for genres that don't get enough love in game soundtracks. And there are so many cute reptiles, too!
Later Alligator tells the story of Pat the alligator, a (mostly) harmless and (probably) innocent reptile at the center of a conspiracy that could bring down the biggest, scariest family in Alligator New York City: his own! Explore the city, meet the Family, and try to save Pat before the clock runs out.
Alligator New York City comes to life with the classic hand drawn animation style of SmallBu Animation, featuring densely animated areas to explore, 30 goofy minigames, and over 100 alligator residents to investigate. With multiple endings and a fully-animated cartoon finale, Later Alligator is a funny urban adventure you can play again and again.

I had no idea you made the OST originally. When I first heard the song, I immediately recognized JSRF being sampled as I can always recognize JSRF being sampled. It's a curse.

Hearing the clarinet just made me smile. It's just so amazing both because of its inclusion and its beautiful implementation. Really, it perfectly describes New York and it's alligator counterpart.
Beating this game only to find out you did the music was an amazing surprise. Incredible music to match an incredible game!

This is such a good OST, as well as a good variety album. Later Alligator has become one of my favorite games of 2019, and probably one of my all time favorite games, and part of the reason is due to the soundtrack.
Thanks to finding this, I'm going back to listen to your other stuff (and once I save enough, buy an album or two). Looking forward to future stuff!

Stumbled across this ost when looking through some things on the 2Mello spotify, and it resulted in discovering a new favourite game since I had to check out something you'd worked on, tyvm!
Love Alligator Blues, and the various arrangements of the theme to suit the kind of Gator you're dealing with in game. "Surprise Track, DO NOT OPEN" very clever title.
Gotta say, I'd pay somethin' pay somethin' for some kind of full arrangement of that jazz part to the incidentals, that Saxophone is CLEAN.

Great little gem of a game, but holy hell it never registered to me that 2 Mellow scored the whole thing. Highly recommend picking it up solely for the soundtrack, but is a pleasantly fun game to boot
I LOVE this kind of music. I don't know what to call it, but I love it so much. Another album that has a very similar sound is Fight Dirty by Mischief Brew and Guignol. I've listened to that album so many times, and I'm just so happy to have more of this music-this mood. God bless you 2 Mello, you keep making my day. :)
