The big question is, I am 165 lbs and a 46-us boot. Which size? I am in between 154 and 157? I would like to have something really agile but still great to carve
That's my main question. Been doing a bunch of reading on this board and no one is really talking about how it butters. Based on the stiffness rating, I'm guessing it doesn't butter easy
This is an interesting subject that's come up on a couple of threads (go check the Amplid Singular comments). Cut through all the jargon and soft boards butter beautifully, medium to stiff boards not so well. But unless you are down to butter for life you are giving so much away with a soft board: Stability at speed, support on landings, edge hold in carves, confidence riding into jumps... The only big gains with a soft board are playfulness when you slow things down and touch on a rail when you want to be able to manipulate the base of the board to match it to the rail. This board still butters, can you press like Patroik, Sleepy or JP maybe not, but if you want one board to do it all this is pretty close...
@@edleigh3294 I just bought a Nitro Basher 158 (Asym Twin Shape, Flat-Out Rocker Camber, 3D nose and tail). Flex is medium-stiff and it's easy to press on both sides. I was able to try it before buying it. I was hesitant with shape shifted directional boards. I don't ride enough to buy a board that's got "meh" reviews on butters.
@@kyledavis2431 according to angry snowboarder, it is OK to butter. Need to muscle it a bit but has a nice rebound. I just received mine, and although I haven't tried yet, I can see that there is a sweet spot in the nose for butters, it is not too stiff. The tail is really stiff though. I was also surprised by how lightweight it is. From what I read here and here, I was expecting a heavier board. At 154, mine weighs between 2.59 and 2.6 kgs. Feels quite light just holding it
Can't please everyone with a graphic sadly! But definitely get out there, demo one and let us know what you think! You might find beauty behind the books front cover
You convinced me to get one ! It arrived yesterday. Will put my katanas on it, cant' wait !
Picked up a 23/24 Stalefish super cheap last week, now even more stoked to see how it rides!
Congrats - you're gonna love it

Great review Ed
I reakon its the taper on that board combined with the flex.
It looked like a dream to ride
👍

I'm 165 lbs but only 9 size boots and got the 154
Is this the same board as last years stalefish apart from change in graphics? Great review by the way
You made me want one… Until I read other reviews saying it's hard to press/butter.

I have the squared off version before the shape changed butters on the nose aren’t a problem tail has all the stiffness

Looks like you were riding the 157. What's your weight/ height?
Smooth ride
Smooth camera work
Thanks! 🤝
Danny Warley on the pole, very handy.
Need!

This or the k2 instrument?
Perfect aside from the really bad graphics that adorn all of their decks. With that said I still want to demo one.

@@mikeyseifert80 funny as I thought this was one of the best graphics ever.
@WhitelinesSnowboarding
the base looks sick imo
Top sheet is ok but nothing outstanding indeed
That’s very subjective
