This should be called Southern California's best beaches with a few Northern California beaches thrown in. There are so many more great Cali beaches in the Northern direction.
The weather is cold(50s/60s) 9 months out of the year at Northern Calufornia beaches that is why they are not favored as much as beaches in Southern California.. where you can sunbathe for 6 months out of the year.
+Stacy Rodgers _____Good luck, lady. Me? My move's gonna take some years. If I'm gonna settle somewhere in the States, it might as well be the most desirable landscape available. There must be truck-tons of reasons why so many millionaires and billionaires from here and abroad have houses in Cali. Hey, they may own the oversized houses, but breathing the air and traveling the landscape are activities that are FREE. What're they gonna do, charge us for looking?
Refugio Ruiz _____You're too late, dude! People from around the world are already fooled. In fact, they're staying fooled. There must be some reason why tourists from around the world go to places time and time again, like Rio, like Paris, like Los Angeles. Some places draw people, and California is one of them--for good reasons!
Don't let anyone put you off .expensive it surely is but the weather beaches and sunsets make it more than worth it.. been there many times and yes the social problems are not great but the world over things are changing but don't give up on your dream. Rog. Pacific sunset records.
I'm thinking about Northern California next to LA does anybody have any information about how much money they pay for SSI disability a month is it's 733 monthy
which beach would be better to go in and swim n hang all day? staying around la jolla. would la jolla shore , windansea or carlsbad be good ones?? thnks
Big Sur is beautiful but so is Monterrey bay Davenport, Santa Cruz, specially the Natural State Bridge Beach it's beautiful along the sides.. so many Beaches up North that could of made this list. That's not the only thing Northern Cali has the Red Woods shiii... Southern Cali can never compare. Either way California has it's up side and down side. stupid expensive! is one of them.
These are the main beaches for everyone and all of us can come at anytime. I do not go to these areas. Check it out my (Southern CA Secret Beaches in Orange County )with Natures , warm water temp. Not easy to get to those points, way much better than Hawaii beaches.
I really really like Baker in san Francisco even more than the LA beaches..water can be pretty cold but the backdrop of the golden gate makes the beach stunning
WHAT THAT HELL IS THIS?!?! GET IT RIGHT!!! The #2 Moonstone Beach Pictured in 2 of the 3 images is NOT the Moonstone beach located in Cambria Ca.!!! That IS MOONSTONE BEACH located in Northern California near Trinidad Ca.!!...AND IT should be #1!!!!! Moonstone Beach near Trinidad Ca. IS THEE greatest beach IN THE WORLD!!! ...and every SoCal beach up to SF (which is every beach listed below #3) are all just lifeless boring tourist sandtraps to the sea!! #1 MOONSTONE BEACH TRINIDAD CA. is THE SHIT.
pnutbutrncrackers Saying it is the greatest beach in the world may be an over statement, but to say that the SoCal beaches listed are crappy in comparison IS NOT.
. . . which is not what you said. Be stand-up, mang. You called every beach south of Fran lifeless and boring, flat out. I guess that even includes Sand Dollar, San Simeon, Point Sal, etc. Just went too far, 'sall.
Thank You!! I'm from Mendocino and we have some of the best beaches too. This video is just obsessed over So Cal. Such a shame that, that is all people think of when California comes to mind.
This list is crazy. Zuma is #1 by far. And all the beaches that are directly under LAX Airport should not be in the top ten. It's the most annoying place in the world.
+Michael Sledge _____Yeah? Good luck finding access to the water! Been living here in Florida for some years now. Just about every single millimeter of beach-front or waterfront is owned by rich lunatics or fenced off. It's a pain and a half to get around their shenanigans to reach the public beaches. Those jokers have got illegal "private property" signs everywhere, though. And they ARE lunatics; they went all the way to the Supreme Court to fight against public beaches near their property. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/09pdf/08-1151.pdf
you actually can enjoy the water.. i mean upstate is chilly as fuck and you might need to have a couple drinks in you prior to getting in the water. However, So Cal beaches are to die for warm, clear and full of life. Everyone who isnt from the Golden State hate on it cause there is soo much to love about it. ;)
honestly I went to santa Monica and um what do you mean we can't swim??that's so stupid it's super hot in California so we would get in the water and yes I went to swim best day evr
honestly I went to santa Monica and um what do you mean we can't swim??that's so stupid it's super hot in California so we would get in the water and yes I went to swim best day ever
Violet Thompson Santa Cruz is in Northern California where the weather is cool for most of the year. At least with Southern California beaches the weather is nice for 6 months out of each year. That may be why Santa Cruz was ommited from this video.
Everyone in California is a fucking weirdo except me, I started off in the east coast, I didn't surf or skate or smoke dope. I don't know anything about flip flops and board shorts, I wear dark suits on the beach, I just roll up the sleeves. I'm a businessman its my culture.
Hello thank you for the wonderful video I really enjoyed wishing you the best of luck of your creativity
I love El Matador in Malibu! Glad it made the list!
The next list needs to be made by California residents. We know the beaches that the tourists will never find.
Like the red-white-blue Mailbox beach for nudity in SantaCruz. And L.A. black beach.
eWeb Secrets *San Diego

Are the beaches and ocean temperatures in Southern California too cold for outdoor swimming in the Summer like in Los Angeles and San Diego?

Way to destroy the valid portion of your comment with ridiculous overstatement and putdown. Great internet form, dude.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh, but I do not recall seeing any of those beaches listed??
Thank You!! I'm from Mendocino and we have some of the best beaches too. This video is just obsessed over So Cal. Such a shame that, that is all people think of when California comes to mind.
Coronado is overrated. The water isn't even that blue.

This list is crazy. Zuma is #1 by far. And all the beaches that are directly under LAX Airport should not be in the top ten. It's the most annoying place in the world.
Wtf?? Who make this fuckin list??
Refugio State Beach.
El Capitan Beach.
Venice Beach.
The only NorCal beach that made the list was Ocean?..........not buying it.
Now I see why California's move to Oregon constantly
Too bad you can never swim in it because the water is too cold. Florida is much better not even a competition
