I really hope this helps any of you who were looking for this information. One quick note when you finish designing the site the final step is to link it with a domain and make the site public. I figured this was obvious but wanted to make a note of it. Have a great day and thanks for watching!
I am literally in the process of setting up my website with prints to sell! This couldn’t have come at a better time!
You're the reason why I selected Squarespace for building mine a couple months ago - so I gotta say THANK YOU! If you like to check it out www.capital-shutter.com - I definitely owe you some for all your valuable tipps mate! Cheers!
Man I can not thank you enough for this video. Legit watched it 3 hours ago or so after looking for videos on how to make a website and this one was by FAR the BEST ONE. Now I have my website up, running and I’m so hyped to see it up. Thank you for real man you came thru mad clutch on this one
I'm a long way away from this but I appreciate what you shared in this video
Very great job man. Theres a lot of videos that skip a lot of steps or just make no sense this helped me out a lot and I really appreciate it thank you!!
One of my best friends Carlos has linked me to your RUclips! It’s been super helpful and has helped me be ready to launch my Squarespace this weekend for my photography! Thank you!
Lots of information gained. Thank you~
Awesome video to watch before I head out for a photography camping trip this weekend 🙌🏻
Holy shit bro this video was so clutch. I was having a lot of problems trying to make a website and this video made everything so simple. thank you so much for real
Super clear, concise and useful ! Thank you. I'm gonna give this a go. I also liked the point about being responsible for the whole process from taking the shot to mailing the items, at least until volume of orders (hopefully) make it impractical to continue.
I agree! Photographers can make so much more money from selling their prints. Some of the Squarespace tips you shared are going to save people from a headache down the line, things that took me a few attempts to learn properly. Great video!
Appreciate you watching!!
So thorough man. Always knew this video would help me down the line. Thank you !
Great info, great selling philosophy (printing, signing, packaging, etc in-house to ensure quality control)... a lot of good stuff in this vid, thanks.
So you are using a separate E-Commerce Squarespace site for selling your photos. This site is also linked to your regular Squarespace photo site. Do the customers see the prints on the regular site first? The customer is sent to the E site after selecting a product to buy? The E site processes the print, collects the $ and sends the print to you for your inspection. Instead of E site sending print out directly to customer, you mentioned that you prefer getting the print first, allowing you to check print quality, sign and number it and send it back out to customer. A more personal touch, which ads a value to the print and the customer's experience. So the website print sales department sends the print to you first correct? Are you paying shipping fees for the prints from the E site to you and then more shipping fees again from you to customer? How much does this ad to the cost of the print for shipping? I understand the reasoning for sending out from you but what is the additional costs involved in the end? Where do you sign the print and is there a limited number of photos to be made? Does it cost to have separate sites where two or more Squarespace sites are related to each other? Thanks, FW
good advice thanks I appreciate it.
This is next level, amazing video man
Hi Evans, very informative video. Make a detailed video on how to start blog & newsletter under this site( you are making).
Just found your channel! This was an excellent video. Your photos are really cool.
I am excited for this one. Need all the knowledge I can get.
Thanks so much for this. Extremely helpful and encoraging.
How many prints have you sold so far? And how do you personally advertise or recommend how to gain visits?
Is there a way to have your sales automatically dropship on square space
Such a useful tutorial for all of us
do you need any sort of certifications to start a brand and sell online?
no. well, not for 95% of products
Thanks so much for this video!
Do recommend a print store and drop ship or do you have think printed first to then ship yourself is better? Would love the your thoughts
can you make the same video but for digital photos . How to effectively sell digital photos on Squarespace?
Do you have a video that talks about the printer you use?
This is awesome. I needed this
Glad to hear it!
@@RanftEvan One question--Do you watermark your prints that you have for sale. I looked at your website, and I did not notice a watermark on the preview, but was curious if he print you ship has a watermark, or just a signature on the back. I was thinking that some buyers might not want a distracting watermark on the image. Thanks!!
Where do you get your photos printed
That hat is dope. Hopefully you do more designs in the future
Oh man have to give you a hard time on that Falcons hat. As a Cowboys fan that was one crazy game last week.
Haha yo don’t get me started! It was a fun game to watch for sure!
Evan Ranft 👍
Having trouble figuring out the shipping costs. Do I charge a flat rate? Especially for larger canvas and Metallic Prints.
Very nice video.
Where did you print the photo that sell ?
Is it possible to do digital prints on squarespace?
I have an existing site on square space can i place a store inside of it? I want to sell my landscape and bird pics but also provide portrait sessions.
Can you talk about copyrights and selling prints?
I was waiting so long for a video like this!! I've been asked by so many people for prints of my work had no clue where to start. Thank you so much!! How do you go by making the actual prints if I wanted to do everything myself?
Happy to hear it! You could find a place locally or find one online. An online one I like is American Color Imaging 👍
@@RanftEvan I do both video and photo. Does square space allow you to have 2 different sites under the same main site? like 1 for photos, 1 for video?
How did you arrive at the respective print sizes available and the pricing?
Hey man! I am new to RUclips. I am a photographer in Southeast Michigan. Are you offering ambassadorships for 1826?
That what I wanted to ask if beside that 18 dolallars per month they take some procentage from sales, and You said no so thats great :)
I was the 667th like.. I’m sorry for ruining it
Thanks for that helpful walk through! I was wondering though: in your video you didn’t mention adding a terms and conditions agreement, is that something that Squarespace provides/something you need to write yourself/outsource or is it not needed at all?
This is not needed for something like this.
Notification squad 👊👊
Real MVPS!
Nice! Just want to show your page some love and support! 😀
you can hold command and delete all products at once little fyi
3:50 the video starts
nice
Gondarex 💯
Nice Video Evan!,
I've been building a following base both on tumblr (35k) and instagram(15k), and many people has been asking me for a really long time to start selling prints, to be honest i don't feel confident enough to do it, for many reasons, but more than anything maybe embarassment, or i just don't want to be cocky "oh look at him trying to sell stuff.
I know it's stupid feeling this way.
Lately I've been really thinking about getting into opening the store because well, why not? even if it's pocket money, it's nice, right?
Btw, you mofo! I ended up buying a Leica QP because of your videos. I'm in love with it, but i'm not gonna lie, it's still a little bit hard for me to let me fuji on the shelves...
Have a nice day/night man!
Dude, you are starting to look like a character of the walking dead
I wasn't looking for squarespace tutorial
Ayyy
Koutarou Mosca 🙏🙏🙏
I do better selling prints at tourist stores and shops.
God place your hands on someone's frustration mind, worry thoughts, good heart, dark soul. Help that person through the silence of stress, incomplete tasks and things not going to well for them
Father please hear me out. Amen 🙇🏾♂️🙏🏾💓
Just another commission grabbing tutorial using overpriced, restrictive Squarespace.
That's one of the longest ADS I've ever tried to watch. 👎
