Sure, it's pretty but I'm not hearing much of anything! I'm not for obnoxious either, but that seems just as quiet as stock. For now, I'm leaning towards the front resonator delete for mine.
I'm thinking of deleting the resonators to see if it makes a difference. Also with the new turbo coming the down pipe cat will be deleted. At that point I'm certain it will be way too loud haha
Do a muffler delete because if you go downpipe it’s gonna sound like shit, learn from me lol

I ended up going with the AWE Track Edition. Very nice quality system and the sound is just perfect!
Pretty sweet. I went with a front resonator delete which when combined with a rear motor mount and drop in filter, sounds and feels perfect. I also have my exhaust locked in the open position. If you dont wanna shell out money on a whole new exhaust, i highly recommend these quick simple mods.
I'm gonna lock the valve and in the process of deleting the resonators for comparison. 👍

Stock turbo and downpipe? I just want to confirm before making an order on one or two resonator since i will be doing a down pipe as well
I would go with one resonator. This will help with any droning but still sound good.
Definitely check the HKS legamax. Sounds amazing

just to confirm, what you have is the 3 outlet but 2 resonator exhaust build correct? Im noob and it looks like 3 resonators but I think you said 2 at the end
Yup that is correct. Two resonators but I would choose the one resonator option to give it a little more sound.

@vellusk I requested for a none or one resonator mid pipe for comparison but it will take awhile for it to arrive. I will keep you posted.

Yes it is a direct bolt on to the stock front pipe. It bolts up perfectly 👌

Do i need to reset a brand new actuator before installing to an after market exhaust? Also what should be the valve position closed or open?
No you don't need to reset the actuator and the valve should be in the close position because when the car shuts off the valve is in the closed position by default.
@@phothrottle if the twist the knob to closed position, i am having hard time fitting the spring on. It only fits when the knob is in horizontal position( open)
@Shank0818 no it should just fit right in the only resistance you should feel is the resistance from compressing the spring.
Did you consider the two outlet R1?
I seen it at Tokyo Auto Salon in person it was not offered with the valved option and I wanted an exhaust with a valve.

I fabbed up a $150 stainless exhaust that probably performs as well as this one and dropped 26# in the process. Amazing, I guess people have money to burn.

Small dump pipe to a larger exhaust is the worst configuration. A stock FL5 will blow straight past you. Will be running so lazy unless you increase the size from turbo and tune it.
41 pound is 18 kilo for stock?........and the aftermarket exhuast were 18kilo?

It might drone because I don’t see a helmholtz design which cancels out frequencies that drone like the Fujitsubo titanium exhaust has. Same reason the Amuse titanium exhaust probably drones too and loud af.

At idle and cruising rpms it's quiet enough for a daily but at wot it sounds pretty sweet in the cabin. I wish I had better equipment to capture the audio.
