Some people here saying that walt had no choice but to poison A CHILD, what? Y'all are crazy? There's no excuse to this, Walt's family is in danger because of HIS decision, that child has nothing to do with it, be fr
Yeah, in my eyes this is the episode that truly solidifies Walt as a criminal mastermind. I mean Walt was always more or less a genius, but until his diagnosis it was always applied towards academics, with the focus on math and science and what not. So as smart and calculated as Gus was it's hard to beat a mind like Walt's even when applied to the criminal world. When we see that final shot and realize he formed the whole plot when he was out there spinning the revolver on the table - it's so diabolical that's it's actually kind of impressive...and it totally sets the stage for the season 5 shenanigans. Can't wait, lol. You've quickly become one of my favorite reactors, always a good time. ✌🏾
Not to mention how indifferent he is to the fate of anybody else besides himself. And I guess to some extent is immediate family but even then as we learn in the show finale... It was never about them
The most unrealistic scene in this show was the dog sniffing scene at the laundry. The cops would have alerted the dogs to "hit" without a doubt because it's all due to police influencing the dogs to "hit" and not actually based on the dogs smelling anything. Dogs don't actually sniff out illegal substances, the police just convinced people they do so they could trample all over your rights. Police sniffing dogs do not have to be trained or certified to even sniff out the substances they're being used to search for, and courts don't care. A study in Chicago showed that over half of all car searches led to nothing being found despite the dogs alerting, and a test done with cops and their dogs showed that the cop's belief that a substance is somewhere greatly influences whether the dog "hits" or not. They made the cops believe that substances will be located in specific locations in the test despite there not actually being anything there to sniff for. Lo and behold, the dogs "hit" on the believed targets 100% of the time even though there was nothing there. It may be due to conscious or unconscious factors from the cops that the dogs "hit," but it doesn't matter. They're being used to overrule your right to privacy and against unlawful search and seizure whether it's intentional or not, and that's a huge problem. Dogs are very acute at deciphering human body language and what they are being directed to do, and they are very willing to give their handlers what they want. And that's what they do. And honestly, if dogs are considered to be cops, they should have the same restrictions over them as any other cop. And that includes not not trampling all over your Constitutionally-protected rights.
i can't believe we are finishing season 4 already!! my favorite series, love that you do this for us. thank you for riding the emotional roller coaster that is, Breaking Bad. love you V :)
How crazy to finish a season with just a shot of a plant in a pot and it’s actually a massive reveal. Season 5 is easily the best season to be honest. You best believe things can get worse.
One of the best season finale's in any television series ever! The chess moves that Walter had to make to get ahead of Gus. If only he knew about Gus and Hector's rivalry way before, he probably could have manipulated this incident in a much cleaner way (as in, NOT poison Brock). RIP Gus. RIP Hector. And that other guy, eh whatever his name is lol
The season 4 finale is an absolute masterclass in cinema. It has so many great reveals, twists and turns, and a PERFECT resolution. Absolutely incredible writing.
I swear is Vince Gilligan trying to make a Batman film. Two episodes ago we got Bryan Cranston’s addition for the Joker now we get Giancarlo Esposito’s addition for Two-Face.
I watched BB for the first time during the fist lockdown and I finished it within a week. I think it’s impressive when people can watch a few episodes at a time. I got a little taste of it and I just couldn’t stop watching 😂 It must have been even harder for the people having to wait every week for one episode 😅 And I think that Gus has probably one of the best ways to be killed of in a show like ever!! You could say that he really went out with a bang..😜
Yeah I did the same after season 3 had finished. I didn't think it would be the type of show I'd be interested in after reading the synopsis about some chemistry teacher who goes down the wrong path trying to take care of his family after contracting cancer. Boy was I wrong! And then, I had to wait like everyone else for each episode from then on. I should have waited until the end before I started my viewing. Oh well, a fun adventure! Then BCS happened
Crazy that I last watched this show in 2013, 10 years ago, but the final 4 episodes were so impactful that I still remember their titles. To’hajiilee, Ozymandias, Granite State, Felina.
I was smiling the entire time she said "Gus is such a criminal mastermind", when Walter was absolutely the mastermind of this episode. The way he manipulated Jessie into thinking Gus poisoned Brock was just something else.
Gus knew because he knew he didn’t poison Brock. He knew someone did and he knew it was Walter because no one else had the motivation to poison a child. Walter was luring Fring and Fring sussed it out. He’s extremely intuitive. The risk Walter took was when Jesse almost killed him. But he banked on manipulating Jesse.
Years later, I just now figured out why Gus never went to his car in the parking garage. It's because Jesse said brock was "poisoned" normally a child might have cancer, or some type of health issues. being poisoned means someone is targeting them. that is no happenstance in Gus's line of work. Genius writing
Right. You're thinking HOW DOES HE KNOW THERE'S A BOMB? HOW IS HE NEXT LEVEL? Because he ~didn't~ poison Brock. Heck his kindness to Jesse is genuine. But if someone else poisoned him... Yet he fell for Hector "talking" to the DEA. The bait he couldn't resist.
@@colonelquack Well, it's less "kindness" and more of a honeypot so he can keep working. He gets him kidnapped the moment he's released from custody and forced to cook
@@colonelquack I can't believe I only now understand this. I always thought its just his intuition, but it makes actual sense. Its 2023 and I still learn understand new things about BB.
I can’t wait to see your reactions to Season 5, I hope you’ll check out Christopher Nolan’s new movie: Oppenheimer, and I also hope you’ll re-upload Inception as well
I haven't seen it mentioned here, but there's an earlier scene of Walt by his pool, spinning a revolver on the table Russian Roulette-style. The first couple times the gun spins around and points to Walt -- but the last time he spins it the gun points to the lily of the valley plant, and that's how he got the idea.
I had the same reaction when I first saw this! This plot twist was out of nowhere and it shows how ruthless Walt has become!! As messed up as it is, it worked! love your reactions!
I remember watching this for the first time and wondering what the whole DEA testifying thing was about. It was about getting Gus to silence Hector before he could rat out any more than he had presumably done, and the insults from Hector to the DEA were to make sure the DEA didn't bother putting a bodyguard on him since he didn't spill anything.
There's a deleted scene from when Hank had PTSD and his beer bottles were breaking in the middle of the night. Marie also gets up to investigate and is armed with a gun. And, yes, it was purple.
Season 5 is equally fantastic and as riveting as 4 was. If you're up for it afterwards, follow up with El Camino and Better Call Saul. Everything Vince Gilligan touches turns to gold
@@ben1ben2ben1 you are the first and only person I've ever heard say that. Take it up with Vince, I guess? The rest of us very much enjoyed the short continuance of the BB story
@@NicholasPellow I don't think it's completely unnecessary but it feels to me like a rather long epilogue. Better Call Saul was great though. I would say I like it way more than BB at times
They werent saying goodbye to each other, but kind of the opposite. They were welcoming each other back after all that went down between them. Teaming up to take down Gus brought them back together
This season of Breaking Bad is getting really freaky and crazy this why I like it and a lot of surprises that nobody really expected for sure Thanks V.🎵🎶🎼
Not entirely correct. Gus had no idea there was a car bomb. What he did know is that Jesse called him to the hospital and told him somebody poisoned Brock and he knows that he didn't do it. In this moment Gus just knows that the situation is fishy and risky and so he listens to his gut and leaves, but there's no indication he knew anything about a car bomb
With Breaking Bad, the entire premise is right in the title. It’s about Walt’s journey from a stand up, law abiding, underachieving genius to “Breaking bad” as a despicable, ruthless kingpin who doesn’t care about anything except his ego, with a few exceptions. It’s about his slow but eventual transformation from Walt into Heisenberg, they’re two very different people.
Man this season might have my favorite moments in the whole show. The reveal at the end of this season is genius. And yet you still have another phenomenal season to get to!
You realize ALTHOUGH Gus was a villain, He wasn’t the villain in this particular moment cuz if Jesse had known Walt truly poisoned Brock then he would NEVER in a trillion years sided with him, and he could’ve continued to cook and make money for Gus since the cartel was gone (and I truly don’t think Gus would’ve just offed him after Walt it seems like he truly had respect)
Hey V, don't worry, you still have "El Camino" as the post Breaking Bad movie, plus the whole "Better Call Saul" TV-show. Calling it a spin-off doesn't really do it's justice, as the show can very well stand up for it's own - it's way more than a "Breaking Bad revival". But ofc it's based in the Breaking Bad universe, you will see way more about Saul, and - no spoilers - also meet some other familiar faces from Breaking Bad again, plus lots of great new characters with stories written just as good as Breaking Bad.
I know you’re confused on how Walt managed to poison brock, but go back to what Jesse said when he was pointing the gun at Walter…”Saul just had to see me today, his big mountain body guard patted me down, that’s when he stole it off of me right?” you can actually see huell lift the cig pack from Jesse and then put them back when Jesse tries to leave through the doorway. On top of that huell is a known pickpocket
At least Better Call Saul continues this amazing show, and is better in a lot of ways if you can believe it. That & El Camino, you've still got a long road to ride, V! Looking forward to it!!!
13:55 Gus has just realized that he was called to the hospital by Jesse who claimed that Brock was poisoned. It would be a convenient way to be offed by Walter who he knows is trying to kill him, except you don't know that when it happens.

Could someone please tell me. Could Gus have seen light reflected by Walter's glasses? This show never waistes a shot. Why did they show us Walter's glasses on the top of his head?
Remember when Walt was in his back yard, spinning his gun on the table to determine his path? I bet you thought the gun was pointing at nothing for that final spin. It pointed straight at his Lily of the Valley plant. That's when the plan was hatched. 🤔🤔🤔☝️😳
24:57 - IMO, the greatest use of incidental music ever done on television. (And Vicky was right - Vince Gilligan has said that his intention with this was to TELEGRAPH what was about to happen!)
I couldn't believe that gus has died, I mean... it seems like everyone was trying to murder him the whole time and yet he had absolutely everything under conttrol... and then, Walter suddenly kills him with the help of that old man??? I literally thought about searching to check if he really wouldn't rise from the dead lol
"Face-Off" was a very appropriate title of episode. Gus sure proved that! 🤣🤯 Skyler made that face at the end cause she knew she was going to have to live with Walt and his "personality changes". Once she got involved with cooking books and money laundering how could she get away from Walt?
Colors are supposed to signify certain things on this show: Blue is for purity/loyalty, Purple is ignorance/protection, Green is greed/wealth, Red is violence, etc

Walter struck at Gus's Achilles heel, I believe this was the only way Walter could have ever won. It also required manipulating and lying to Jesse
You definitely don't have to be worrying about saying goodbye to the show just yet. Season 5 is a roller coaster!
Season 5 is a freight train!
Season 5 sucks
Your Breaking Bad reactions are the best part of my weekend always!
Some people here saying that walt had no choice but to poison A CHILD, what? Y'all are crazy? There's no excuse to this, Walt's family is in danger because of HIS decision, that child has nothing to do with it, be fr
The Walt apologists are just crazy people
.
Walt manipulating Vicky as hard as Jesse😂
These episodes really show how smart Walt is
Not to mention how indifferent he is to the fate of anybody else besides himself. And I guess to some extent is immediate family but even then as we learn in the show finale... It was never about them
One of the best finales in the history of television
Gus is a Terminator
The ending of season 5 is very appropriate and satisfying. The ending of season 4 is a real banger!!!
🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
When i finished s4, i thought it was impossible to s5 be better, but it is
The most unrealistic scene in this show was the dog sniffing scene at the laundry.
Not in cinema, but Television forever
I won! Yessir Walt, heres your most despicable person award. Hope your proud.
True. That was my reaction when I first saw it. I knew he was scumbag before the reveal but still
I swear is Vince Gilligan trying to make a Batman film.
I got a little taste of it and I just couldn’t stop watching 😂
It must have been even harder for the people having to wait every week for one episode 😅
And I think that Gus has probably one of the best ways to be killed of in a show like ever!!
Those 4 are absolutely iconic! In 1000 years, those episodes will be talked about like The Iliad and The Odyssey
It's because Jesse said brock was "poisoned"
normally a child might have cancer, or some type of health issues. being poisoned means someone is targeting them. that is no happenstance in Gus's line of work.
@@colonelquackit's basically "an offer you can't refuse" type of situation. Classic mafia move. Bravo Vince indeed
I can’t wait to see your reactions to Season 5, I hope you’ll check out Christopher Nolan’s new movie: Oppenheimer, and I also hope you’ll re-upload Inception as well
23:04 Dark music 😊
I haven't seen it mentioned here, but there's an earlier scene of Walt by his pool, spinning a revolver on the table Russian Roulette-style. The first couple times the gun spins around and points to Walt -- but the last time he spins it the gun points to the lily of the valley plant, and that's how he got the idea.
I had the same reaction when I first saw this! This plot twist was out of nowhere and it shows how ruthless Walt has become!! As messed up as it is, it worked! love your reactions!
Season 5 is the best. You’ll be even more amazed when you get there, just don’t take too long to do so.
I remember watching this for the first time and wondering what the whole DEA testifying thing was about. It was about getting Gus to silence Hector before he could rat out any more than he had presumably done, and the insults from Hector to the DEA were to make sure the DEA didn't bother putting a bodyguard on him since he didn't spill anything.
walt making pipe bombs
vkunia: "awww hes got a project to work on now"
27:29 "I think they're done with cooking" ... lol
There's a deleted scene from when Hank had PTSD and his beer bottles were breaking in the middle of the night. Marie also gets up to investigate and is armed with a gun. And, yes, it was purple.
now way! really? XD
Season 5 is equally fantastic and as riveting as 4 was. If you're up for it afterwards, follow up with El Camino and Better Call Saul. Everything Vince Gilligan touches turns to gold
El Camino was completely unnecessary
@@ben1ben2ben1 you are the first and only person I've ever heard say that. Take it up with Vince, I guess? The rest of us very much enjoyed the short continuance of the BB story
@@NicholasPellow I don't think it's completely unnecessary but it feels to me like a rather long epilogue. Better Call Saul was great though. I would say I like it way more than BB at times
They werent saying goodbye to each other, but kind of the opposite. They were welcoming each other back after all that went down between them. Teaming up to take down Gus brought them back together
This is truly the moment when Walt becomes Skinny Pete
This season of Breaking Bad is getting really freaky and crazy this why I like it
and a lot of surprises that nobody really expected for sure Thanks V.🎵🎶🎼
Gus knew there was a car bomb because he figured out Walt must've poisoned the kid
Here begins the greatest season in tv history
Oh ur not ready for this 😅
Good luck
The revelation about Brock poisoning to me is always like... fuck, Walt. This is was his "the point of no return".
At least Better Call Saul continues this amazing show, and is better in a lot of ways if you can believe it. That & El Camino, you've still got a long road to ride, V! Looking forward to it!!!
Better call saul opening scene is a joke
@@JustinhomiiAbsolutely not. Work of art. Actually watch the show
@@JustinhomiiBest show ever. Breaking Bad is a super close #2
30:51 Sometimes, your worst enemy is yourself...
no way I was just thinking about your Breaking Bad reactions minutes ago
I will never forget what I felt watching this episode for the first time
Where the next episode at though????
My favorite season is finally coming! Time for heisenberg to take over.
13:55 Gus has just realized that he was called to the hospital by Jesse who claimed that Brock was poisoned. It would be a convenient way to be offed by Walter who he knows is trying to kill him, except you don't know that when it happens.
I just finished the playlist earlier today, this is perfect timing!
Only just found your channel and I must admit your videos are pretty high quality, I really enjoy them. I’m glad I only subscribed on 200k subs so I can watch the channel grow!
V, you're hilarious. I love your unfiltered blurts (i.e. 21:00 "nuggets"). These two episodes are great. There is so much complexity and tension, and possibly the best villain death(s) ever.
This is the 1 episode that remains with you once you are done with the series. The brilliant direction and reveals ❤
I love your reactions when you are very scared surprised. Be it half faced gus or gus killing his own man with box-cutter 😂. So cute.
Best season finale EVER in the history of TV!!!!! And the last half of the final season gaddaaaaamn!!!👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Walt put the juice from those berries in Brock's juice box he was drinking when Walt stopped by looking for Jesse.
In one of the previous episodes Walt was spinning a gun on the glass table and it landed on the flower pot which gave him the idea of poisoning brock
Could someone please tell me. Could Gus have seen light reflected by Walter's glasses? This show never waistes a shot. Why did they show us Walter's glasses on the top of his head?
Great reaction, congrats on 200k!
"Did he bring a bomb into the hospital? Is he the Joker?"
The ending scene of Crawl Space should have answered that question.
That music is also DARK webseries Opening credits..
The way you jump to 1000 conclusions with any scenario just cracks me up. lol
The "Should we tell her?" energy is magnificent. :D
Colors are supposed to signify certain things on this show: Blue is for purity/loyalty, Purple is ignorance/protection, Green is greed/wealth, Red is violence, etc
The detective with hair played by Jason Douglas ,is the American English voice actor of beerus aka bills in the dragon ball super show and movies
Your Breaking Bad reactions have become part of my weekend ritual! I cannot wait til next weekend for the start of season 5.
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving! Congrats on the 200k!
You wondered how Walt managed to give the poison to Brock: since it's never explained in the series itself, I can tell you that Vince Gilligan eventually revealed that Walt slipped it into his juice box.
11:24 “ Walt is allot of things, but he would never murder a child.” Dude I feel soooo bad for V 🫠
Funny his Gus has a weird feeling about his car having a bomb but his hate for Hector could his judgement and then... BOOM! 😂
Fun fact: They got Robert Kirkman and his The Walking Dead FX crew to do Gus' makeup/prosthetics for the bomb scene.
One of the best reactions I've seen! Can't wait for season 5!
"Walt poisoned Brock". Yep. The moment when we all realized that Walt is the villian of the show. One of the best episodes of the show. And yet, the best is yet to come.
