you were asking how they knew so much about Jesse that he was part of the manhunt - you may remember at the end of BB when he gave the video deposition to Hank and Gomez and then Jack and his men ransacked Hank and Marie's house - it is likely that while police were going through the mess at Jack;s hideout, they could have come across the video that Jack and his men were watching when Jack wanted to go and kill Jesse but Todd convinced him to keep Jesse alive to keep cooking

Watching Jesse go to Alaska in the end was really satisfying to me , i just cant express how much i love him cause he has got to be one the most sympathetic tv character’s of all time considering that how much hell he has gone through but despite that he alway’s kept his humanity unlike most of the other character’s in Breaking Bad , Jesse is not a saint of course but he’s not a demon either cause he does have good in him and now that he’s free from the drug world , now he can show the good that he has inside of him even more and spent the rest of his life being a better person.
The acting for these Series' (Breaking Bad, El Camino, Better Call Saul), is outstanding. The WRITING for these Series' is off the chart *EXCELLENT!* Their ability to tie and entwine so many characters, their plots, throughout all three is nothing short of a miracle! LOVE this single installment, and finally learning what happened with Jessie! :-)
Breaking Bad has always had that subtle neo-western style to it. A modern tale with bandits, anti heroes, gun-slingers and sheriffs. But this movie really brought out the western of it all. Jesse using everything Mike and Walt taught him, to get out of the bad situation, and ride into the sunset. What an ending to his story. Sure he had sins on his soul, but I think Jesse had the most positive transformation in the show, as he truly was the sincere heart of the cast. His ability to feel guilt, his torture, and his loyalty to others, all of those things made him a better person. So crazy to compare Season 1 episode 1 Jesse, to what he has become in El Camino. A tortured soul, who can appreciate just being alive and free. Also, there is a bunch of deleted material to this movie, some of it available. My favorite scene being the one where Ed the disappearer finds Jesse next to his shop in the morning, and Jesse has a hard time giving away his gun, bug Ed tells him that he does not need it anymore. Wish they kept it in, as it really showed how Jesse has a hard time believing that he can let go of the ugliness of the criminal world.
Believe it or not…this isn’t the furthest moment into the future. There are moments in Better Call Saul that happen later than this. The ride isn’t over!

Psychopathy (primary psychopathy) is characterized by low anxiety and thought to result from a genetic predisposition. Sociopathy (secondary psychopathy) is characterized by high anxiety and thought to develop in response to environmental adversity, such childhood trauma. In other words, psychopaths were born that way and tend to be calmer, whereas sociopaths were made that way and tend to be more aggressive. Psychopathy and Sociopathy are somewhat outdated terms. Today, the conditions are more properly referred to as primary and secondary psychopathy, or both can be referred to as Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD).
I used to work at a country club and one of my managers told me that him and Todd's actor are best friends. Provided proof and everything. Turns out he's not a psycho in real life!
I just wanted to say how brilliant it was to have Skinny Pete give Jesse his cap. Not only was it a powerful scene since Skinny had worn that piece as long as we remember, but it also serves to tag the present Jesse, so we always know when we're seeing him now and when we're seeing a flashback.
One of the best shootout/draws of all time in a movie. Jessy had a hammerless revolver in his pocket he was holding. The gun in his waistband was a misdirection. That's how he outdrew and outsmarted Vince.
One of the teaser trailers to El Camino was Skinny Pete being interrogated by two detectives; showing us what exactly went down after Pete was caught. There were also portraits of Hank Schrader and Steve Gomez somewhere in the background or the surrounding of the room if I remember correctly.
They know about Jesse because of their connection, because of Hank, and hence, Marie, but also, Skyler has nothing left to protect.. ..or i dunno, maybe even just Pinkmans ID was at the scene.. or maybe its just a contrivance to ramp up the tension.. which, yeah, pretty much works..

The reason the cops sent that many officers is that when a high-risk potentially dangerous suspect is being apprehended, they know that if the suspect is likely facing long prison time, they might try to shoot it out. The absurdity large number of officers serve two purposes: 1 ensure their own victory in a gun fight if there is one and 2 be so great a number that the suspect gives up on even trying to fight because there would be no way to win.
I don't know if you remember, but on your reaction to the finale for Breaking Bad I left a comment recommended the video of Bryan Cranston celebrating his super sweet 60th birthday. Did you give it a watch?
It's been almost 5 years since Robert Forster passed away when "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" was released. He was great in BB, BCS and "El Camino", but his Oscar-nominated performance in "Jackie Brown" redefined his acting career. RIP, good sir. You will be missed.🙏🏻
To answer your question about how they knew about Jesse is because those guys Jack and Todd had those recordings of Jesse talking about all of the stuff they did while working as a crew. Also it took me way longer to recognize Todd than it should have in this movie because he gained enough weight between the show and this movie that his face just looked so round compared to when he was on the show
Todd was definitely a sociopath but it's not really his fault. Uncle Jack and his crew most likely raised him like this since he was little, he doesn't see anything wrong with what he does
This was ultimately the final role of Robert Forster, who played Ed the Disappearer. He unfortunately passed away the exact day El Camino was released. Also, I love that part where he calls the cops and the car just pulls up in the background while Jesse's trying to call him out for faking it 😂 but he still gives Jesse a chance to get the rest of the money by lying to the police
Walt was not running the car wash and with his family when Jesse was held by Jack and his men. He was hiding up in the mountains in that cabin and his family hated him and he was the most wanted man in America . Not sure how you just watched the show and don’t remember that 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Also he didn’t just do it for $1800. He got all of their share of the money. And he got revenge on the pieces of shit that were involved in humiliating and torturing him.
Eh, sometimes details (even important ones) slip when you're in the moment. Not everyone's mind holds onto sequences of events the same way. I'm okay with it.
It’s not what *Jesse* did for $1800 that she’s exclaiming about…it’s that *they* were risking their lives, getting in a gunfight, having the shop destroyed…by not just giving Jesse the $1800 and moving on.
Better call Saul is the perfect prequel for BB fans. Its starts slow but rewards you with so much backstory you never knew you needed for the Breaking Bad universe.
4:07 - "All while Walt was chilling with his family and running the car wash and what not. He didn't know what Jesse was doing". I'm going to give you free advise: If you're not going to think before you speak, don't say anything at all. By the time Jesse was taken as a slave by Jack and Todd and the rest of the crew, Walt was trying to get back home to take Skyler and Junior/Flinn to be on the run with him after Marie confronted Skyler to tell Flinn the truth. This was when Walt went on the run hiding from the authorities. Do Not say "I'm such a dummy" like it's cute or an attractive quality, because it is not. Please do better and get the facts right.
the opening scene with Mike is a "missing scene" from Breaking bad 5x06. right after Jesse who is still broken up about the kid on the dirt bike and sees Walt joyfully whistle to himself, he receives a phone call. then in the episode we see Jesse & Mike telling Walt they are out of the business. and here we see them both preparing to tell him.
So the guy who plays Ed (the vaccumn store owner who helps people get new identities) is the late Robert Forster, he actually passed away pretty much right after he finished filming his scenes in this movie.
The money Skinny Pete and Badger handed over was the remainder of what they had left for doing the laser pointer thing for Walt. Walt saw them maybe 2 or 3 days before this, and they see Jesse the night Walt dies. Walt's money went to his family. Jesse was family.
Keep in mind, the night before Jesse escapes is when Walt visited Elliot and Gretchen. Remember what Skinny Pete and Badger did that night, and this movie starts immediately after that. That's where Pete had all the money from.
"Who needs paint on your walls when you can just have thousands of photos of your obsession?" Me, glancing around at the thousands of photos I have of V on my walls like 😐😅
I don't think it was the meth that Walt really focused on when he was mentioning "something special". I think it was his quality of meth and how it was received in the community. It out performed literally every option on the market. It was the best. Something he lost the chance to be when he was bitter and ran away from the Grey Matter company before that company became renowned in the scientific community because of the work that Walter helped found. Walt in his early life had that chance and missed it. Jesse, who absorbed his teachings and could practically match the quality of Walt's meth achieved that "best" status as well as far as Walt was concerned I think and Jesse achieved it when Walt thinks he should have.
The way they knew Jessie was involved was because of the confession video Hank made w Jessie at his house. Remember Todd & crew stole it from Hanks & were watching it in their “clubhouse “ & making fun of Jessie? So when the police searched the place for evidence after Walter’s shooting they would have found that confession video. They probably didn’t know they had kidnapped him & forced him to cook for them nor that they were the ones who killed Jessie’s GF to keep him cooking. They only said on TV that he was a “person of interest”. Not necessarily wanted for arrest. They would have known Hank & Gomez had made a deal w Jessie for his cooperation & confession because Marie would have told them that Jessie was at their home to hide from Walter. Hope that helps.
not necessarily. Todd's crew stole the confession video to see what Jesse told the DEA. after they watched it they could have destroyed it. we don't know what they did with it. but seems it would be in their best interest. what we do know is Marie was well aware of Jesse working with Hank & Gomie to try getting Walt and by the time Walt escaped she notified Skyler about it as well. so even if the video was destroyed, the police could at least know that much.
The reason there’s a manhunt for Jesse like we see in the film is due to Hank and Gomez are dead. When federal officers are killed trying to take down a kingpin like Walt, the police are going in big on someone. Because Walt is now dead and he was looked at as the one who killed them both, they’re going after whoever was associated with Walt, which would be Jesse and Saul, while Jesse would have his fingerprints on various items at Jack’s compound, such as on the gun Walt slid to Jesse. Since Jesse had been arrested before, they’d have his fingerprints. Plus, they might have the tape that Jack and his crew stole from Hank and Marie’s, which would also indicate Jesse was there aside from fingerprints.
It has been a wonderful ride, going back and watching your reactions to the entire Breaking Bad story. The entire Breaking Bad story - from Walter's journey and metamorphosis into Heisenberg to Jesse's redemption arc to Mike's tragic end to....well you'll see what ultimately happens with Saul - may be one of the greatest to have ever been told in the history of television. It is truly a work of art and I feel honored to have had witnessed it, as I'm sure you do as well V. It's quiet, it's peaceful from what I've read, and it's not that far from the city. Looking forward to seeing your reaction to the second half of this wonderful journey.

Would have loved to have seen him again on screen in Better Call Saul but sadly he doesn't appear. Only a mention. This does not give anything away. Just thought I'd inform you since you loved the actor so much.
What’s crazy is that Jesse’s arc on Breaking Bad and El Camino actually end exactly the same, with him driving off. It’s just that El Camino is a little more hopeful.
This movie never needed to exist. It was very obvious that Jesse got his freedom away from the manipulation of Walt, of Hank, of Gus, of whoever at the end of Breaking Bad as he busted out of that prison.

It was such a nostalgic moment when this first came out and we saw all the characters we grew to love so many years ago
"Dude, you're my hero and shit." That line got both me and my late father to break. Skinny Pete is a real one.
I always wanted to see Jesse on Dexter Morgan's radar for a cat and mouse story...😂😅
Todd singing along to Dr Hook with a body in the back of his car is probably one of my favorite moments in the Breaking Bad universe
Walt was not running the car wash and with his family when Jesse was held by Jack and his men. He was hiding up in the mountains in that cabin and his family hated him and he was the most wanted man in America . Not sure how you just watched the show and don’t remember that 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Also he didn’t just do it for $1800. He got all of their share of the money. And he got revenge on the pieces of shit that were involved in humiliating and torturing him.
I was literally thinking that too, like did she just forget the timeline? She literally just watched the show
@@franciskaranja9293yea not sure how she didn’t remember that .
She's not the brightest bulb
Badger and Skinny Pete are the friends we all need
Better call Saul is the perfect prequel for BB fans. Its starts slow but rewards you with so much backstory you never knew you needed for the Breaking Bad universe.
Canonically, Jesse became a carpenter in Alaska, his dream.
"Pastel...but in a good way." 😂
Hey VKunia girl.
Remember, Jimmy McGill is the main character of this universe.
No one, i mean NO ONE else.
16:33 RIP Robert Forster! Dude died exactly the day when this movie released.
the Jane part and the after credit with Skinny P was incredible clearly the best friend to have ever
“This man only ingests soups!” Idk why that made me laugh
4:07
Walt, alone in New Hampshire:
21:41 lol
El Camino is a brilliant bookend and Better Call Saul is the perfect spinoff. I love when storylines close themselves satisfactorily
25:22 really is one of Walt’s most revealing lines
the opening scene with Mike is a "missing scene" from Breaking bad 5x06. right after Jesse who is still broken up about the kid on the dirt bike and sees Walt joyfully whistle to himself, he receives a phone call. then in the episode we see Jesse & Mike telling Walt they are out of the business. and here we see them both preparing to tell him.
So the guy who plays Ed (the vaccumn store owner who helps people get new identities) is the late Robert Forster, he actually passed away pretty much right after he finished filming his scenes in this movie.
Actually he passed away a few weeks after the movie came out

The money Skinny Pete and Badger handed over was the remainder of what they had left for doing the laser pointer thing for Walt. Walt saw them maybe 2 or 3 days before this, and they see Jesse the night Walt dies. Walt's money went to his family. Jesse was family.
Being the best at something is the something special
Keep in mind, the night before Jesse escapes is when Walt visited Elliot and Gretchen. Remember what Skinny Pete and Badger did that night, and this movie starts immediately after that. That's where Pete had all the money from.
"Jesse is a trooper i dont know how he does it..." two letters speak ALL in this universe sweetheart
the greatest thing about this movie is that it is true to the series, and it does make sense, i loved this when it came out
Skinny Pete is the realest buddy a person could have.
"Who needs paint on your walls when you can just have thousands of photos of your obsession?"
Me, glancing around at the thousands of photos I have of V on my walls like 😐😅
I don't think it was the meth that Walt really focused on when he was mentioning "something special".
18:22 Honor among thieves. Ed reminds Jesse to take his money, then gives the cops a wildly inaccurate description of their suspect
Jesse was one of tv history's most broken characters and he did it so well
The reason there’s a manhunt for Jesse like we see in the film is due to Hank and Gomez are dead.
Everyone needs a friend like Skinny Pete.
I think if I were ever in a position where I had to start a new life somewhere, I'd probably choose upstate New York. It's quiet, it's peaceful from what I've read, and it's not that far from the city. Looking forward to seeing your reaction to the second half of this wonderful journey.
this movie made me realize how much i mised combo. he was ride or die like Skinny and Badger. the real boys
Sadly, the vaccum shop owner guy played by Robert Forster passed away IRL not long after filming this movie.
Nahh, this is not the end of Breaking Bad. The End of Better Call Saul is the end of Breaking Bad.
This movie never needed to exist. It was very obvious that Jesse got his freedom away from the manipulation of Walt, of Hank, of Gus, of whoever at the end of Breaking Bad as he busted out of that prison.
