I was torn when I bought my 2500 bighorn night ed. Could have gotten a brand new 3500 srw long bed tradesman for 6k less. Ultimately, I picked the bighorn cause of the amenities and custom bodywork. The Aisin and extra payload would have been nice, but I didn’t absolutely need it, and I liked the upgrades ordered on the 2500 (4x4 off-road package, level 2, large touch screen, alpine speakers, led package, sliding window, heated seats, night ed,etc). I say upgrading the trim level makes a difference in how comfortable it feels to drive and how good you feel sitting in it. But then again, what you show is that you can order the tradesman and really get the amenities of a higher trim package while saving money by not having the upgrade badge. And a lot of guys put aftermarket wheels, bumpers, etc….so tradesman is a really great option. Great comparison.
2020 big horn has steel wheels tradesman style running boards cloth seats and 5.5 uconnect screen. No radio controls on steering wheel, no fog lights. No remote start. Did upgrade to the 8.4 uconnect and got that was the best money ever spent. To be honest idk why mine is packaged as a big horn cus it’s pretty much a tradesman with carpet and color matched handles lol
Great comparison video I was back and fourth on whether to go with the big horn or tradesman I ended up going with a tradesman with the carpet and 8.4 along with the rear slider window ended up saving around 10 grand remote start and heated seats are about the only thing I miss but after I paint matched the bumpers I am still happy with my decision a lot of value for a base truck !!
Nice comparison, thanks. For the cams on my 2017 Silverado, I added front cam, mirror cams on the tow mirrors, a bed cam and a trailer camera which connects via a wireless connection when it's connected to a trailer. I think it's called a Tom-Max option or something like that. I just had it all installed after I bought through the dealer. Also, I unlocked the HMI so the rear cam is always on by a Pete Gamboa harness and the camera option shows in the HMI. Let's me take a quick look at the trailer setup while driving. Thanks for the vids, looking forward to the loading comparison.
The running boards on your big horn were taken from the 4th gen, the boards on the tradesman are new to 5th gen. Both nice trucks, I prefer the chrome bumpers over the color match, personal preference. Great video.
lots of things u can get on the tradesman.back up sensors etc. also power wagon option for tradesman is like 7k. snow group etc. there is 2 levels and other options you can add. I almost got a cummins. so congrats on ur truck. if i needed a diesel i would have waited. trucks hard to find now days
i have the trades men but i don’t like the back tail lights do you think it would be a good idea if i buy some led lights from amazon like the ones you have on your big horn?
Nahh I don’t think so.. I contemplated getting one before I got my Big Horn, but paying so much for a truck, a few more dollars a month was worth it to me to get heated seats, the nicer display, dual climate, and whatnot. If it were a straight work truck, maybe. But since mines pretty much for pleasure I’m happy with my Big Horn.
Awesome AWESOME review and information....thank you HOWEVER...and I mean this in a nice way...please try to work on your video stability... for someone like me that is sensitive to motion, I was nauseated by the end, it jerks and bumps around so much 🤢 Otherwise, great review 👍
My bighorns got chrome bumpers an no fog lights the black handles idk mabey I got ripped off but it was brand new an says bighorn in the manual an on the registration 😂😂

The tradesman looks better to me 🤷♂️
That ain't leather in Tradesman, it's vinyl which unfortunately is only an option in Tradesman.
Very informative video, good job!

RetroShop has the best conversion kits to go to full LED!!

Do they have apple car play?
Yes! Both trims do
That 3500 Tradesman doesn't have leather Lmao its not even an option on tradesman. That's vinyl boss man
The 3500 has no dually I see.
Those are not leather seats in that Tradesman.
Not all bighorns have that stuff because dodge wants your $$$. They are optional for you to buy.
Correct. I was just comparing my Big Horn vs. the Tradesman’s at work.
Please slow down with the camera movement it was hard to watch
Appreciate the feedback!!
Tradesmen is all any real man needs, everything else is a want
Say it with me But......ton
It's not Buh on......
lose the music
That’s not real tradesman, tradesman has no bed on it😮💨
I believe that's just called a "Chassis Cab"... think they make those in almost all trim levels!
