thank you my brother for this test, I much prefer the jbl even if sometimes I was a little lost when you changed speakers. the sound of the jbl is more lively, clearer, there is matter, the dynamic is much more intense, the townships are really shy nearby. I hope not to be mistaken and that the sound reproduced at home is reproduced correctly in order to have the most objective possible. jbl winner easily 👌
on the jbl it's a shame that you could not try the whole onkyo integra m508 p308 because you could fully exploit your 4312a which are greedy in juice, in electric current
If you change the crossovers of those old JBL, they are gonna sound STUNNING. It's a must if you get one of those JBL's because they came with poor poor caps.
the cantons are much better but I am not sure of the purpose of these JBL's If they where made as studio monitors the test is not good because studio monitors always sound flat with little dynamic.
Its what sounds you like. I like more the sound of cantons. Jbl i think as i hear them from hear RUclips are 'loudly' and i suppose that if you put some watts more they will make distortion.
The problem is the microphone. I just bought another microphone the rode NT4 stereo microphone. This one have a 20hz to 20.000 hz frequency response and a Maximum sound pressure from 143 DB SPL. So very promising. New price is 400 but I bought it on dutch ebay for 175. I think it will arrive in my house after the weekend. The microphones I used up till now are the built in microphone from my old samsung VP-HMX20c camcorder, the zoom H2N and the older zoom H2. The zoom microphone can handle high sound pressure and I made beautiful recordings from live bands with both of them but in the fabric specs there is no mention of the frequency response. Nobody know the frequency response of the zoom microphones. The specs where left out deliberately because of weak frequency response. We costumers can only guess and I believe they doesn't record under 40HZ. This rode NT4 have everything I want but for the best sound I should first plug it in one of my zoom microphones to get a even better sound. In the pasty I could only open my volume knob a little bit because if I would turn it up there was always distortion ...the samsung could not handle high sound pressure(SPL)
@@vintagestereo I want to thank you Andrew, for using zoom mic instead of samsung built in.But I see You got even further and bought something even better.I hope it will be recording beutyful. I'am agree with Stikibits, to back mic out closer to your listening position.Cheers!
JBL win win in this test. Very clear and realism sound in the vocals
I have vintage 4312 studio monitors as well, awesome stuff
Loved the warmth of the JBLs. Amazing for 30 yo speakers.
JBL 4312 great speakers!
JBL for sure 👍🏼
I own a pair of JBL 4312B and really love them 😊
in these Luxmans you have to activate the "low boost precence" buton .

sorry not the townships , the traductor lol, canton

My friend.. membranes are totaly different of the both kind of speakers. That JBL's are soo punchy... I compare em to Magnepans

Als ik mag kiezen dan ga ik voor jbl.
Die klinken echt eerlijk.
Maar geluid is altijd persoonlijk.
Gr André de vries.
Hard to say over RUclips. I like both brands. It's mostly about amo/speaker matching though. The Cantons may do better with a different amp.
JBL even looks better
One big clear JBL ...all day Long!
Which sounded better the Real to Reel format are the eight track format which did you think sounds better
The JBL's are missing the high Tweeter.
No they're not. That hole at the top is the port.
Everyone prefers Jbls
I see you got your speakers hooked up and that receiver sounds good with them
JBL is superior in its definition.
The Canton has recessed midrange that suppresses detail.
Sommige versterkers / luidsprekers komen pas tot leven bij een bepaald volume. Misschien iets om ook mee te nemen in je review's.
You made a mistake for selling the Walsh Ohms......
JBL much better...realism
By far JBL is winner and superior.
At 5:49 , which phone is that :)?
I like canton but that amplifier is excellent 👌
Speakers make all the difference .
Wich one would you take if you had to buy
the cantons are much better but I am not sure of the purpose of these JBL's If they where made as studio monitors the test is not good because studio monitors always sound flat with little dynamic.
@@vintagestereo they are indeed studio monitors
@@vintagestereo canton its better..more dinamic 👍

JBL for sure, they are livelier
Luxman 👍
JBL way better !
Totally chaotic comparison test - absolute confusion when switching. By the way, jbl has a completely discolored midrange.
You could give it some juice?

@@vintagestereo Give the Luxman a run, fella. Let it deliver some current. Back the mic up to your listening position and see how it goes.

I just had anxiety watching your video
Sansui/Luxman/ pioneer go well with JBL
Jbl is good sound
I have two pairs yamaha ns1000
One pair marantz HD 880
One pair polk sda 2
One Pioneer hpm 100
I also have polk audio sda 2. Very good speakers! Do you like them more than your ns1000?
JBL....
canton is better the sound is more pleasant and with less mids.
как то все сумбурно,но canton мне показались лучше, jbl играю как то более грязно
JBL 👍
man, review is not your thing but thank you
Canton iş playing bright.
But i like Canton all the way
Jbls are better in musicality. Lesser in control
The amplifier must have a stronger output than the speaker Amplifier output too weak
Specially the JBL's; that's what some people told me.
Your equipment always sounds tinny and cheap! Just like the tiny speaker on my Amazon Fire Tablet! 😂😂😂
Hahaha
