    This is another classic Japanese song. It's definitely Nagabuchi's most famous song and a staple at wedding ceremonies. In fact, Nagabuchi wrote this song for the wedding ceremony of a childhood friend, so it's only fitting I guess. I always liked the lyrics as it is not just a simple happy congratulatory song. On the contrary, it resembles a sad farewell song, almost as if Nagabuchi was a father sending off his child to marriage.

    I did a working holiday in Japan when I was younger and used to sing this song but never knew the meaning of it in English. Love this and love RUclips! 😊

      As far as I know, this song was not featured in any major movies, but it was played in the famous 80's TV soap 北の国から (Kita no kuni kara).
