I believe that Logan still loves Rory, but he's afraid to get his heart broken again (I mean they were together for years, and Rory totally rejected Logan's proposal-- man, that's gotta hurt.) Therefore, Logan is just waiting for Rory to give him a cue, but she doesn't, which I don't understand because they are perfect together. However, I can see the concept of Logan being Christopher and Jess being Luke and Rory being Lorelai. That leads me to my final point, what the fuck is going through the writer's minds? Rory is not Lorelai, and it's not fair that there going to give her the same future has her mom (not that Lorelai had a bad life), but Rory deserves her own history, her own future, her own life. Please, writers, make Rory a unique and independent character. Don't make her Lorelai 2.0.
***** I am torn on that question. It definitely seems like Rory is hiding something. On the other hand, if she knew that she was pregnant in this scene, the baby must have been conceived in the Summer, and correct me if I'm wrong (I've never been pregnant) but don't you show a little bump after 3 months? Especially Logan got to see her very intimately so shouldn't he suspect something? Anyway, for my own sake, I hope she didn't know about the pregnancy in this scene. The reason is that I look up to her character and the thought of her deliberately hiding that information from Logan is heartbreaking. He deserves to know.
I honestly believe that if Rory had just said “Logan, don’t marry Odette. I want to be with you”, he would’ve left his fiancé in a heartbeat. Also there is no way in hell he’s not gonna leave his fiancé when he finds out Rory is pregnant. He’s just waiting for Rory to give him a reason not to go through with the engagement.
But that should be a decision he makes on his own. Plus him marrying odette has to do with him working for his father, which he swore he didn’t want to do! He’s got to make his own choice if he wants to leave his dads empire and Odette.
Rory just disappoints me in every aspect. She had so much potential. She had a guy that loved her. She threw it all away. She just never knew what she wanted and it cost her a lot.
Rory doesn’t disappoint me in every way. Although she did mess up with not trying to go with him and not get married just to test it out there he loved or should I loves her so much Logan would understand that she didn’t want to get married
I think you’re so funny That people think if you’re in your early 20s marry just because they been together for 3 years so she was not ready to get married so he could of waited until she was ready
I was glad she turned down Logan's proposal in the finale. I didn't think it was the right time for her to get married. But I was shocked and disappointed when I saw they were having an affair in the revival. The writers just made it so damn hard to like her. She changed from sweet and innocent to a self entitled home wrecker!!
Yeah in some ways it's not surprising. Lorelei would never do that. And she was shocked when she caught Rory with Dean. Lorelei was raised by conservative parents with morals just like Lane was and said she had to wait until marriage. Lorelei never talked about being with lots of other boys as a teen. Only Christopher was ever mentioned. Suddenly liberals like Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham are being mentioned. Before it was music groups and liberal journalists. I'm guessing the reason it is less on the wholesome side has more to do with the creator and less to do with what the characters would have developed into based on their past.
That's different because she already had Rory with him. In her mind they were a core family. Are you sure they were engaged? And not just living together? Her getting pregnant changed every thing.
@@leamsc3032 I just watched the episode and Chris and Sherri were definitely still together when he and Lorelai slept. He told Lorelai that the relationship wasn't going well, that's all. So Lorelai slept with him knowing that he is with another woman (even if he said he was going to break up with her).
Don't tell me he doesn't still love her. Look at his face at 1:20. She doesn't wanna talk about them and just says, "we got to get you home" But you can see in his face his heart is breaking. It's like he was waiting for Rory to tell him to leave Odette and be with her. Logan: "Tell me not to go" Rory: "What?" Logan: "Tell me not to get on the plane. Tell me to blow off my father, the paper, the whole Huntzberger destiny. Just tell me I can figure something else out. Just tell me not to go"
going by that logic she doesn't want to be with Jess either. But by all honesty, she certainly does want to be with him and it's clear that she is in love with him (and not Jess). Even Emily asked if she was. She just has some serious commitment issues tho and let's be serious she turned down his proposal that leaves something in the air and the lack of communication proves it.
Annmarie Moore If he loved her, he would never have cheapened the relationship by being engaged to ANOTHER woman, a woman who as far as we know has done nothing to deserve a cheating hoe like Logan and even Rory is so pathetic when she’s with Logan. She has no direction and is miserable which is why she always ends up with him. That is a toxic relationship.
Mckayla Hill l loved Finn with rory sense his character was introduced in season 5 episode 7. but I really loved him when she was dumped by Dean at her grandparents house. Logan said pick Finn because he is isontic. I think that is how spell it
Ugh this scene kills me. I will never understand how after Rory and Logan were together for three years in a committed relationship, fought time and again to be with one another, lived together, and Logan had proposed to Rory that ten years later they have decided to reduce their relationship to an affair? Like umm WHAT? But really how did they get there? Like a serious discussion between the two of them regarding their relationship was sorely lacking this entire revival. It was clear as day that they both are still clearly very much in love with one another and that in all of their scenes its like they both are waiting for the other one to just speak up and say that they love each other and want more than to be the dirty little secret they keep from their significant other. And yet neither of them spoke up. It's honestly really sad and bittersweet and probably why Rory's story line was the most disappointing for me in the revival. She was floundering both personally and professionally and it was sad to watch. Clearly Logan is the father of her baby and now that I look back on the revival as a whole there were definitely hints dropped foreshadowing that this would happen. I just really hate to think that ASP intended for this to have happened to Rory when she was 23 if she had been able to originally end the show on her terms. I really think that if Rory were to tell Logan about the baby that he would leave his fiancee and be with her and the baby in a heartbeat. Because I'm sorry no matter how badly ASP regressed Logan's character in the revival I still don't believe he would ever be a Christopher 2.0 and just abandon Rory and their kid. Nope not buying it.
***** See I agree that Logan wanted Rory to make the first move especially after she had turned down his marriage proposal. And because she never spoke up he never did either. (This is what we needed to see a discussion of in the revival for the whole mess between them to make more sense but alas nothing) I never watched Buffy so I can't really speak on your analogy but I will say that the revival showed absolutely no indication whatsoever that Rory views Jess as anything other than a friend. I mean there was literally nothing on her end. So I know people are interpreting this as Jess is her Luke but like no I'm sorry I don't see it at all. At least not from what was shown in this revival. Lorelai and Luke always had something underneath the surface that was obvious to viewers no matter who they were with but that was not shown at all with Rory and Jess in this.
***** I agree that Jess definitely has helped to push her in the right direction when she's been confused over what to do next. Logan did also push her to go back to Yale though during the original series and in the revival she didn't really delve into the book until after she spoke to Logan on the phone in Summer and he told her to do it for herself even if Lorelai wasn't happy about it. I just think that they both have pushed Rory when she needed to be challenged at different points in her life. But speaking about Jess in particular I don't think that necessarily means that they're meant to end up together romantically. I actually think they have a great friendship as seen by the scene they had together in Summer. I just think that by the end of the original series and from what we saw in the revival Rory just has no romantic feelings towards Jess whatsoever and has moved on in her life.
Its called "lazy writing". Its a disservice to the fans, actors and the characters. They could have done more with Logan's character or Rory... but sure, chuck all that character development out the window and reduce characters to... this. If I didn't know any better I would have been sure this revival was written by whoever wrote the last season of The Good Wife.
How can anyone like this guy? Good gravy he’s a loser just like her dad! Probably why she was attracted to him because he is as low as her deadbeat so called father
Mar Jerry I know she should have ended up with dean. He was the best boyfriend and she still have feeling for dean. I love when she said to dean how she wish she had met him when she was older and mature. She ended up just like her mom
@@friscadesca613 I feel like the writers would've put Rory with Dean in the end if Jared Padalecki hadn't moved on to do Supernatural. Love both shows so very much, but that's what I believe.
When Rory was saying goodbye to Fin, (forgot the dudes name) and Collin it was just like in Wizard of Oz when Dorothy was saying goodbye to Lion, Tinman and Scarecrow.
This is by far the saddest moment in the entire series! It's also the most loving. Robert, Colin, and Finn are by far the best sidekicks in a Dramedy ever! Of all Time!
Rory has always been a terrible character, let's face it. While I like the idea of a female character being flawed and making mistakes, I hate that every character on the show acts like Rory is some perfect angel who can do no wrong. Clearly she is all kinds of messed up if she engaged in adultery TWICE and at vastly different ages. And while I don't think Logan will be like Christopher, in the sense that I definitely think he will be there for that baby, he definitely has proven to be Rory's Christopher - a perfect illusion. In the end, I think Rory had so much room for potential and improvement in the revival and it went to waste. She deserved better than having her mother's story repeated. And Jess Mariano definitely deserved better. If he wasn't going to end up with Rory, the least they could've done was have him be happy with some other woman...but no, he's still pining for Rory at 32 years old? Bullshit.
I wouldn't be too sure that Logan would be there for the baby. If Rory waited to tell him until after he was married I think that would affect his decision. I agree with all of your other points, though and most especially what you said about Jess. He has long since paid for his past mistakes and has really become the most evolved character on the show. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if he was still pining for her if we at least saw a glimpse of her pining for him but as far as I'm concerned the writers annihilated her character so he deserves better. Her involvement with the engaged Logan while she herself was in a long term relationship was so morally repugnant that I lost any respect I might have had for her. She didn't even feel guilty for cheating or for being the woman that Logan cheated with. It was just disgusting.
Her not feeling guilty for cheating again shows that she hasn't grown at all since she slept with Dean when he was married because when she slept with Dean she felt that she was in the right and Lindsey was wrong because Dean was somehow Rory's. It also shows that Logan hasn't changed his cheating ways either.
She hasn't always been so terrible, she was nice at first. She changed slowly and dramatically after meeting Logan. I thought that was a phase she has to go through in college, but in fact she never got back. Even after going back to Yale and reconciling with Lorelai, she was never the same old Rory, kind, loyal, generous, etc., but instead a more shallow, spoilt, selfish rich girl she was destined to be if she had been raised in the Gilmore house with Richard and Emily.
Seriously pissed off right now! Regardless of who's Team anyone is, I can't believe they had Rory cheat again. Also Matt Czuchry kept saying repeatedly how much Logan still loves Rory, yet the producers had these two cheating behind their significant others backs. And the idea that this revival ends with Rory alone to raise a baby just like her mom did is ridiculous! Yes, lets just hamper into everyone's brains that we are all destined to repeat our parents mistakes! I should've know that there would be some liberal BS strong-indepent-woman-left-to-raise-a-baby-on-her-own-doesn't-need-a-man ending! One of the main reasons fans had been begging for a revival for years is because they wanted to see Rory end up with one of her exes(I personally who have prefered Logan, but wouldn't have minded if it was Jess). Why does Rory have to be like her mother was? Could she not find love as well?! Really wished I hadn't even seen the revival now. Just going to pretend that Rory wound up with Logan or Jess in an alternate story with no cheating I guess!
Yup totally agree, we all expected Rory to end up different than her mother. What makes it even more shocking is that ASP knew about this supposed 4 words before the show's original end. So Rory was supposed to get pregnant right after college? And she tells us now not to focus on her love life?! HA!
+hera621 I agree with the both of you so much! I loved the revival happened ONLY because we got to the he characters together again and years later to see how they've grown but besides aging these characters didn't grow at all it's like ASP was like these girls only deserve a healthy relationship happy ending when they are of old age and wants to be "more realistic" stfu I don't mind Rory being pregnant at 32 but having her be pregnant to her engaged exboyfriend for college is ridiculous and then they just end it like that wtf and she wanted Rory to get pregnant right out of college with Logan's kid from the beginning wtf so having Rory go to chilton and Yale was just a waste of time and money if that's how she wanted to end it. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe it.
Or earlier. I thought I read that she had planned those words from the beginning. How on earth would she know how long the show would run? If the show were cancelled after 1-3 seasons, Rory would have been getting pregnant in HS like her mom.
OsmondsCrazyHorses thanks for letting me know how it ended cause I would of been disappointed as well if they let that happen. When will I ever get a show that I liked, and have it end up they way I wanted it, out the way others wanted it to; too at lest Keep half the fans satisfied huh!!! Hearing you say how it ended you saved me a bit of a heartache, and I hate how the ended this show. It could of been better. Thanks for the info now I don't need to watch them corny 4 episodes on Netflix now ugh. Another ruined good show(well it was good for a while)😞👎.
I don't really understand why there seems to be so much love here between Rory and Logan and so much history and they seem to disregard and cheapen that history by having an affair. It seems like they love each other now and it was confusing not to see that addressed at all. Also who else was bummed to see that ten years later Logan is working for his dad?
I agree. I was also disappointed to see Logan working for his father's company but I think it was supposed to mirror Christopher, as he also ended up working for his father's company.
It really didn't shock me though. As much as they love each other, they've never really been "good" for each other (i.e. treating people poorly, stealing a boat, causing a rift in both of their families). You can love someone and still not be good for them.
I agree, and then the previous refusal of his wedding proposal may have led both to keep the relation "easy", with not much commitment, as if they know it can't be otherwise. The fact that he was hurt and he was expecting her to make the first move has sense, I'm not sure what she is thinking and why she doesn't do that move. Is she insecure, afraid of commitment like Lorelai, or, like Lor-Chris, she loves him (affection)but she knows unconsciously he is not really the right guy for her? I'm team Jess, but considering how is Rory lately (and I mean the late 12 years) I think Jess deserves better. Anyway, I've never understood why the Huntzberger are not keen on Rory, I mean, she's a Gilmore! ; )
Well given that Logan has become his father's puppet even after fighting it for years it seems like his marriage is more of just a business arrangement than anything else.
I read A.S.P never watched the last season. She disregarded it completely because she didn't write it. That is what I read at least. I am not sure how true it is.
The whole Rory ending up like her mother thing felt more preachy than realistic to me, especially when they established just how different they are from each other from the very beginning. It's like they were thinking "Well, it's been years! We can change her personality dramatically and people would still buy it." That's not how character development works guys. Even after she slept with Dean she realized her mistake, and Lorelai was there to help her realize it. Now all of a sudden she's casually cheating on this poor guy with a married man and both she AND her mother are fine with it?!
I doubt she would have slept with the Wookie if she was so in love with him, lol. It comes more off like she's unable to quit him just like Lorelai kept going back to Christopher.
I loved Jess but then Logan came along and swiped the board clean. I'm all for Logan. I think he'd make a great father, despite his own upbringing. So yeah... ALso, this scene made me cry. :(
Jess has always been the one that really knew her and understood her. Well except for her rich snobby side. He didn't realize that she was like that. He thought she was more like him.
idneilkell Jess was a no good waste of time. He was never there for Rory, he was always causing trouble and just didn't care. The only thing they had in common was reading. He Never got Rory, never did.
A. Ham Jess was no good? Whatever you may think of Jess, Logan was 10x worse. Logan pushed Rory so far out of her comfort zone that she wasn’t true to herself anymore. When she was with him her entitlement was amplified. She wasn’t sharp and witty. She was passive, whimpy, and lacked direction. When Rory was with him she stole a boat, dropped out of Yale, was ok with Logan stealing from her grandparents. Logan brought out the worst in her. Rory and Logan caused a rift within each other’s families. They weren’t right for each other. Jess challenged her in ways Logan couldn’t. Jess inspired her to go back to Yale, and inspired her to write a book. Jess is a better person and boyfriend than Logan could ever be. Yes, he ran away when he was a teenager, but he grew and got his life together. He is the only one of Rory’s boyfriends who hasn’t cheated and he has enough dignity not to be the other guy or make Rory the other woman. He has long made up for his past mistakes. Jess made mistakes as a teen. Logan is in his 30s and still acting like a privileged child. And Jess knows Rory (at in least the original show). He knew that she dropped out of Yale and joined the DAR because she was lost and lacked direction. He even told her that she wasn’t acting like herself when she ditched school to visit him in New York. Reading is not the only Jess and Rory have in common. They both have been raised by single parents, they have the same taste in movies and music. They’re both writers. They’re life is heading in the same direction (Rory is publishing a book like Jess did). They intellectually challenge each other.
I think by this time in the episode, she already knew she was pregnant, drinking or not, and she realizes this is the last time for all of this before everything changes, Logan getting married, her baby etc, and she is just taking it all in and accepting the changes that are about to come. Fall is the season of change after all...
I feel that Amy SP always knew the closure for Emily and even Lorelai. Emily being alive after Richard's death by working at the museum was a thing I never expected but make so much sense. Also her journey to that point. Even Lorelai getting married with Luke was OK. But for Rory, I think she only knew she had to be pregnant but never figured out the story in the middle. Also remember that AMY SP didnt write season 7, so Logan's proposal was never her idea.
eowyn23 And that's the problem because you cannot pretend that season 7 does not exsist. Rory's and Logan' characters are just not in line with the season 7. He always loved her, he changed a lot for her (even ditched his family) and now he is portraited as a cold and selfish guy that again is following his family's wishes and path. I understand characters' 10 years development, and loved the full circle of life idea, but this just doesnt feel right. He is not Chris, he is not 16, she is not Lorelai nor she has ever been, and she is 32. She doesnt even love Jess, so I cannot think that ASP choosing Logan to be the father has a lot to do with the strong Jess's fanbase and their crazy idea about a teenage love that at the time fullfiled its purpose in Rory's life to continue. #teamrory
Interesting that Rory returned Logan's engagement ring and the key to his parent's home in Maine since she wanted to follow her own path. I understand that Logan's three friends represented the Wizard of Oz characters -- lion, scarecrow, and tinman. Logan represented the Wizard and Rory represented Dorothy -- both returning home after learning valuable lessons on their great adventures.
It's basically life coming full circle. Rory is now her mother. Jess is luke and thus we're in for another ride 16 years later. Do the Math 16 years ago Lorelei was 32 and 16 years later Rory is 32.
She turned out just like you would expect of someone that was treated like she mattered more than everyone else in the world. She has a boyfriend she can't remember to break up with - dumb storyline. I guess there are people in the world that are just forgettable, to everyone? She wouldn't marry Logan because there was stuff that she wanted to do. Well, ,what did she do? I guess she wrote an article once. Please don't tell us that she is the only one that Logan would have been faithful. The idea that her mother and Luke never got married or had kids is just ridiculous. It's like no one moved on with their lives. They just got old. Except, Richard who managed to escape. Luke and Lorelai should have had a couple of boys by then. that would have turned her world upside down. But I don't think the writer could have managed anything except repeating storylines. And what was with Lorelai and the casual attitude toward her daughter having sex with a stranger?? She's not a Kardashian. ugh
idneilkell agree with Lorelei's attitude toward her daughter's one night stand while having a boyfriend and having an affair with an ex. No mother who love their child would be so okay about it. Rory was suppose to be this selfless girl who cares about others. Makes me sad that Rory has turned out to like this.
Logan has helped Rory in many ways and they deserve to be together. She wanted to be with him but his fiance was in the way. He did a lot of stupid things but he was just having fun like people do. He had his own problems that made him act out. They both are better people now I just hate how the writers did not make them grow up. They are 32 years old. not 20.
Kay Live he did not have to ask some one to marry him that he does not love enough to stay faithful to - that makes for a great character flaw not a love story.
I think she was already pregnant. That's why she couldn't think straight. She was hoping that he would beg her to stay and they would marry. I think like her mom she wants the baby to grow up surrounded by the one person that would protect the baby, the mother. I just want to know...why??? Why if you want to be with Rory, why marry that other chick?
I have been also wondering the same. She seemed to have changed her mind suddenly in the morning as if she suddenly realized she was pregnant. This would explain why she drank the night before because she did not know she was pregnant at the time.
I think it was possible to have this moment, the scene without the affair I think it just needed to happen so much earlier for her and unfortunately it didn’t. I think in a lot of ways they stifled Rory in the reboot and tried to hard to make the series something it shouldn’t have been. When we left them, Rory had an incredible job that she jumped at with no hesitation cause she was finally hungry and willing to put in the work. Lorelei and Luke were reconnecting and healing and everyone got such a beautiful moment saying goodbye to them. When we re-met with the cast Rory should have been deep in a blossoming career or maybe even at a pivotal crossroads but at least doing something other than acting put off by what used to be her life’s calling. Lorelei and Luke’s story was meh and the only thing the reboot got right was letting the characters mourn the death of the grandfather. I wish more care and love had been put into this reboot
One thing I noticed is that everytime Logan is with Rory, it's suggested they had intercourse because he wakes up or is in bed shirtless (which is shown here and in another scene when Rory was talking with Lorelai on the phone). But when Rory called him in the middle of the night and he was sleeping in bed next to his fiancée, he has his shirt on, suggesting that they might not have any type of physical relationship. I think this suggest that his relationship with his fiancée is that of business and decided upon by their parents and not that of a real relationship.
Obviously he said that marriage with Odette was a business deal arranged by his dad (though realistically what would a French media company have to do I don’t know)
See I disagree. Logan does deserve his own team because he is the one that really wants her to succeed in life doing what she loves. While Jess does also want this, I feel as though he has never really supported her, he tried to push her into things. And we'll Dean was a teenager and only thought about what he wanted. I am disappointed that Rogan have now become a dirty little secret for Logan and Rory. I have always been team Logan as I feel that their relationship (though it was rocky in parts) was the most loving and he didn't expect her to change for him. Dean didn't like how Rory was always putting her studies first, Jess tried to push her into having sex among other things. And they both kept trying to save her. But Logan accepted that she was a strong woman and loved that about her. And he still does. The thing that makes me so mad, is that he has now become her Christopher. I don't like it. I have waited for so long for him to be her Luke.
Jess I'm going to respectfully disagree with your assessment of Logan. I loved him from the moment t we met him and I liked them together. but then he was totally okay with Rory quitting Yale and I was done.. Logan in that period seemed like he just wanted a trophy wife and that wasn't the guy I fell in love with. This entering Jess, who yelled at Rory for giving up and actually got her to go back, that should have been Logan. I lost all respect for him at that point and it sucks. and then in the revival, shit I wanted to love him, but he was cheating on his fiancée? why did Amy do this? Amy should have let go of her dream ending and created a new one.. she ruined the revival I think.
Ira B if not Dean then I'll say Jess(to which I didn't like him as first for breaking up Rory and Dean at first), but since he left the show Jess would be the next guy I'll say was good for Rory until Jess finally got his act together and got a career job. I did like Logan on a few episodes, but what list me with him was the partying, and drinking and he was a bad influence for Rory just like Lorelei said after she met him, and he proved her point doing that, and when Rory went crying in the bathroom on the floor to her mother when she thought Logan wasn't coming back. I was team Dean, but like I said once he left(to which I think he left cause he couldn't take seeing Rory with nobody else but him) then Jess(to where he would be the best boyfriend/ 🚼 daddy for Rory).
I think that the Rory and Logan affair coincided with her being adrift in her life in general and she got involved with him because he was a constant in her life for so long. But it's funny because I think the one that has really rescued Rory is Jess - back when she was in a mess at College and now with not knowing what to do career wise. While we didn't see them get together - I think one could assume that they do - he needed to grow up and she needed what happened to but like Luke and Lorelai they belong together.
Well Rory is not Luke's kid but that doesn't keep Luke and Lorelai apart. It's 2016. But I'm team Logan although I think in the reboot A S-P sabotaged his character (and Rory's) for her life-cycle theme (which is ridiculous in my opinion).
The episode with friends is great. It feels like being uncommitted makes them more committed. They can't bear to be without each other. But, it feels beneath Rory and i want someone more perfect for her. And then, i realise it actually was.
Wow, what is wrong with the people on here...acting so judgemental towards Rory and her life. Personally, I LOVED her storyline. Yes, they always made her out to be some perfect little innocent girl who was destined for nothing but greatness and perfection in life...but THIS is life. Her storyline in the revival is far more realistic than any of the ideas you guys created about what you thought it should be in her head. Look, she is not perfect, she is human. And there is no reason whatsoever why she couldn't have made some not so great life choices on her journey, just like her mom (and ALL the rest of us out there) did. A) This is not and will not be a repeat of her mother's life. Yes, she is single and pregnant. But she is also a grown women with an excellent education and a strong head on her shoulders, her life beyond this point will look much different than her mother's ever did. Having an unplanned pregnancy as an adult is not "beneath" Rory as people claim. Many, strong, educated, grown women have been in that exact same situation because no matter how hard you try to be careful and responsible and smart, sometimes things just happen. People need to lay off Rory, this storyline made her human and vulnerable....and personally it makes me love her more. If she had turned out to have this so-called "perfect" life (married, kids, great job, etc.) I wouldn't have really believed it, Lorelai and Rory have never had a run-of-the mill life and that's what made us love them!
Agreed. And we never saw the start to Lorelai and Rory's life, we only saw from ages 32 and 15 on. Life is messy. And here in this scene, I believe she was sitting in that window seat making her choice to move past this fling with Logan and to have a graceful exit with the L&D brigade (hence the Wizard of Oz moment). Had the pregnancy not come up at all, I wonder if viewers would feel the same way about her. I hope they continue this series, because I think we'll see Rory come through all of this just fine and be stronger from it.
For me this was just out of character for Rory. She already went through the whole 'being the other woman' thing and learnt from it. Why they made her regress is confusing. And having an affair isn't a mistake. It's being a dick. That doesn't make you evil or a horrible person, but it does make you callous and a bit eye-roll worthy. Characters who cheat bore the crap out of me.
we cannot really say that is the story repeating it self. Lorelai was really young when she got pregnant, Rory is 32, and although they portray her now as an irresponsable young woman, she shouldn't be...it is against everything we know about Rory: like how can she cheat again? After Dean's story. she should know better. I still secretly hope that Rory and Jess had some important scene we did not see during summer or fall, for him to be the father. because Logan and Rory have no salvation...cheating for years, and never wanting more or confess that they wanted more it is because is not true love. And other thing, I understand that ASP had thought about this 4 words to finish, but could be completely differerent, not like people saying that she would be pregnant at 23, becaus ASP never knew when the show would be canceled, and she had that idea to finish since the beginning. So to resume: liked Lorelai story of course (just sorry Sookie wasn't at the wedding - no sense at all) and did not like Rory story at all, was beneath her.
the talking crow is just a prop, i'm pretty sure..i don't think it's supposed to be a real animal. of course that whole situation was over-the-top and fantastical. like we're supposed to buy that a whole lot of money just buys all this fantasy stuff? getting into the computer, altering the sign on cue, etc. Did they pay for all the fog and mist, too? *rolls eyes*
sunshaped But it was so so weird xD They even broke into Doose's ! That's why when I heard the final 4 words I was confused because I thought even sleeping with Logan was a dream
they broke into Doose's because as the Life and Death Brigade they had some criminal tendencies. do you remember in the old series when Logan tells Rory that there were authorities looking for them? it was just part of their normal privileged rich brat behavior.
Why is Finn the best?!?! Colin: "I said he was from New Zealand" Finn (the Aussie): "only a man with no heart would say that to me" Rory: "you know, I think I'll miss you most of all" Finn: "stay photogenic, I beg of you" Love that guy
I think Logan has always been the best for rory, he was always there, and he always will be. I know Dean was too, by the circumstances were different, Dean had no reason he could leave. I also think Logan is his own person, not just rorys christopher. When you think about, could you really see Logan leaving her too raise a child alone, after seeing how much he loves her? he would probably leave Odette in a heartbeat if rory told him about this.
Well, I just finished the series and all I can say is that Logan was the best boyfriend Rory could ask for, and yes we all know that Logan is the father of Rory's baby. I still don't understand why they didn't get married, we all need one more episode to find the answers to our questions.
The Palladino's didn't write season 7. This revival is apparently how they wanted season 7 to go. Personally, it feels like The Year In The Life was a step back so the Palladino's could get the ending that they wanted. I find it hard to believe that Logan would go and work for his father or agree to this dynastic plan when he fought so hard against it in his younger years.
Logan is to Rory that Chris was to Lorelai; a passing flame, the father of her baby, and a new chapter (full circle style). The ending we got with Jess...made me only place him in Luke's shoes. I have no doubt Jess will be to Rory what Luke represents to Lorelai; soulmate and substitute father for her child. After all, it was always Luke looking out for Rory when Chris wasn't around (proud scene reference), I like to imagine it will be the same scenario for Jess to Rory's baby. There is hope yet for Team!Jess. After all, they still could work on publishing her book together...and feelings abound again!
But Jess is Luke's nephew, so Lorelai is now Jess' aunt which would mean Jess is a sort of cousin to Rory? Right? Not blood related but still. If they ever got married Lorelai would be Jess' aunt and mother-in-law. Or am I just confusing myself?
Jess would be a step-Cousin to Rory. No blood ties whatsoever. Even real blood cousins are allowed to get married and have relations. It wouldn't be weird at all in my opinion for Jess and Rory to end up together. They dated first after all. Lorelai wouldn't be Jess' mother-in-law, though, because Jess isn't Luke's son. She'd be his step-Aunt only.
Way to take a fantastic series and drive into the ground then hack it all apart, piece by piece until there is nothing left to treasure, nothing else to remind you why you loved it, why it was so good. Another set of writers who were hell bent on NOT giving their faithful fans what they deserved. Bravo, you made me hate the whole series!
Sometimes, I think she found she was pregnant that morning, because you never see her drink alcohol or coffee after this, and partly the way she was looking out the window. Although, I think it's really the phone call before she goes to see her dad. Maybe she had a 3 o'clock appointment, and then went to see her dad after.
It’s obvious that she went to the doctor, found out, then went to talk to her dad. Thus the conversation she has with him and the questions she asks. Obvious.
@@sahej6939 Agree....I had a feeling Rory was going to turn up pregnant. And it's obvious it's Logan's. And will be raised with Jess.....am I right????
I was thinking that in this she already knows she is pregnant and ends with him cuz she knows he wants the other woman or she knows he is not the father.
This is just an opinion but whether any one of us is team Dean, Jess or Logan i personally think that the men deserved better. Rory although older is still rather naive and she acts as though she deserves the attention from any one of the men that were or are in her life. All the guys in her life were somewhat ill-treated and it is also clearly seen by the way she treated Paul in the revival. To me maybe she doesn't really belong with anyone but unfortunately for all of us none of these guys would have existed without her in the picture. Just to clarify this is only an opinion and I do not mean to irk anyone with my opinion.
And you can see in her she still has feelings for dean and I hate how she went on about how she wish she met him when she mature and older. Because she realized now this guy she should have ended up with. There was no chemistry between her and Jess. It’s basically all of us we reject the one who loved us the most and realized it and it’s too late
@@friscadesca613agree, and you can tell that when she sees dean in the revival and she talks about how he was a perfect boyfriend, you can tell that he's thinking like "😬... yeah I don't feel the same way about you." Because she was a bad gf, broke his heart, then wrecked his first marriage!!
I feel like rorys character was betrayed in a realistic way in my opinion. Often times when you are young you feel like you are gonna have life figured out but that's not always the case. In the original series Rory was betrayed as the golden child yeah she may have made a few mistakes but not like that. In the revival we see her trying to find herself and honestly that's how it really is. Your 20s become your 30s and a lot of times you are not where you wanna be in life so you have to reevaluate yourself. She realized journalism didn't work she lost her grandfather and she has to let go of the only man she's ever loved. She sees that no matter how many pro and con list you make in life life can chew you up and spit you out and you have to roll with the punches. I'm glad the writers let her experience that part of life because it's real life. I wish they let her and Logan get their happy ending but it's not to late. Some say that she is repeating her moms life but is she really. Rory has always belonged in that world she can adapt to both. I believe that they should do a flash back sequel to let us see how her and Logan came back in each other's lives and go to the present. I don't think this story is over let's all keep rooting for more.
barb walker me too. Rory and Logan's whole relationship broke my heart. I was always team Logan so when she asked him if he was really going to marry that other woman and he said yes I cried for Rory :(
Lisa Gall I'm not sure if dean has a counterpart or not. Max is a good bet (especially since Dean was the one who gave Max the pointers about talking to the pepperoni, haha).
(From 2 interviews with amy palladino) 1. We wanted Rory to date her father,” Sherman-Palladino says. “Every girl has a father issue, and Logan was Christopher. Logan was charming, smart, and not quite the dependable soul that you need. Or, at that time, was not the great dependable soul.” 2. "TVLine: Logan and Rory’s arc - intentionally paralleling Christopher and Lorelai’s storyline? ASP: Yes."
Logan is the father we all know that but what hurts me the most is that he’s getting married and that he has no clue that Rory is pregnant and I don’t think Rory will ever tell him but what kills me is that one day in the future if the Gilmore girls Logan will come back to visit Rory and will she that she has a child that looks like him and then realize the mistake that he’s made but his wife will be at stars hollow with him but she won’t find out about the baby and that just kills me because a baby needs both it’s father and mother to helps it grow
asp said that logan was chris (bullshit) but she never said jess was luke so i wouldn't blindly trust that after falling in and out with jess rory would fall for him again after god knows how many years, as milo said "rory and jess had their moment and it just didn't work out", and if logan it's chris there's a big possibility rory and logan will end up together cause in s3 chris left lorelai to be with sherry cause she was pregnant with his child
Team Logan forever. Rewatching the revival and there so much unsaid. So much tension between the two. It's like they want to blurt out I love you, but they don't. Such a bittersweet ending for Rory and Logan. I do hope it's his child though. And I hope they make it work.
If Logan is the father, there's some hardcore parallelism between Rory and Lorelai. Privileged girl and the privileged boy have a baby, but they're not meant to be together, because the girl is meant for the genuine guy who's a little rough around the edges (luke/jess)
That would be terrible and lazy writing. There is nothing wrong with similarities, but if they do more "chapters" and decide to go in that direction I would be disappointed.
I seriously hate what they did to Rory in the revival. She's bordering on unemployment, she's living "here and there" and what used to be a clearly loving relationship with Logan has turned into a cheap affair. I don't understand how the producers could do that to their relationship! They were so perfect together and you can clearly see they still have feelings for each other; look at Logan's face at 1:20! My heart is breaking. It's so obvious he's still madly in love with her and that he's the father of her baby, and i really hate the fact that their relationship was destroyed and reduced to this. I kept wishing Logan would leave Odette and get back together with Rory! So sad. Also, can we just talk about how adorable Rory and Finn's friendship is?! I cried when they said goodbye
To me it doesn't even matter if Logan was Christopher and Jess was Luke because at the heart of it, Rory isn't Lorelai. And I think that the writers did a great disservice to her character. I mean, I dunno if they're just unbelievably selfish to end the revival as they did or if they're just really brilliant to realize we'd want more if we were dissatisfied with their initial attempt. Personally I just want to see Rory and Logan get it together. They are their own characters. And they have their own story. They shouldn't be written as some sick sense of wish fulfillment to foreshadow the desire for Rory to emulate her mother. It's bogus and unnecessary. And while I do believe that Rory and Logan weren't ready yet for marriage when the series originally ended, they were more than ready to get their happy ending in the revival. Leaving Rory's pregnancy announcement as the finale punchline just was not good enough. Logan deserves to know he's going to be a father before he marries some off screen character and follows his family's "dynastic plan". The writers to me tried too hard to make the characters as they had originally intended and thus they caused them to regress. They should have allowed them a much more natural path and I think it would've been one of more substance and thus more fulfilling.
Sorry but I really do believe that Logan is the father of Rory's baby. But don't worry. Because I am 100% #TeamJess. I would be a little team dean, but he's Sammy now so... Anyway As I was saying don't worry. Rory being a single parent parallels Lorelei and Jess is the parallel of Luke. He could totally step up and become the baby's surrogate father. Just like Luke has been to Christopher. And speaking of Christopher, Logan is a total parallel of him. But you also have to take into account that up until The night before the wedding, Jess was staying at Luke and Lorelei's for about two months. So there is a chance, very very slim chance, but still a chance that Jess is the father.
I was so disappointed in this season. I always felt like she should of ended up with Logan but she turned down his marriage proposal. I felt she would of been happy with him instead she’s just repeating her mothers life smh just disappointing
I thought that Colin, Finn, and Robert were three of the best parts of revival. Yes they may not have changed but they are unapologetically themselves as they were in the original. A few years added but not completely different people. The obviously love Rory and add a comic element. Them changing would have been out of character for them. They were always irresponsible but lovable. The revival made me dislike Rory and Logan more than I already did. At the end of the original they both showed signs of growing up, this just seems like a backtrack to me. They should know better.
I wonder if she had found out she was pregnant that morning because she refused the drink, whereas I don't think she had refused a drink before in the revival. Does anyone remember her drinking after this moment? An I thinking too much into this?
Pretty positive she had just found out that she was pregnant in the scene where she gets off of the phone and leaves the house to go see Christopher but runs into Lorelai and Luke in the living room while Lorelai is dancing around with soda cans in her hand trying to lose weight before the wedding. You could tell in the scene where she got off the phone that she was nervous and then as she leaves the house she's flustered as Lorelai reminds her to bring her bag. If anything this was probably the night she got pregnant since its implied that she and Logan last see each other at the beginning of fall (so September/early October) and by the beginning of November when Luke and Lorelai get married she knows she's pregnant.
All these comments saying it is morally wrong or doesn’t make sense. That is the point. The point is life is messy and people make mistakes and that creates drama for TV. There is very little story without stupid mistakes. The point of this whole show is that you can be smart, have advantages, be beloved and still get lost and make mistakes and love and lose and eventually it all catches up to you. I truly do not understand people judging this like it’s their actual best friends or family members doing it. Characters gotta character.
Angelica Johansson Exactly agree 100% plus aren't you pissed we have no closure like none of the big unresolved. Ugh I'm so pissed.
THANK YOU! YES!
exactly
EXACTLY! I'm so upset that they decided to force that stupid parallel!
Rory saying goodbye to the boys was better than the actual ending.
I’m hoping that baby is Jess’s.
Which makes him a shitty person.
@@akj1818like how exactly? It is very clear they are not involved at all here, did You pay attention?
Rory just disappoints me in every aspect. She had so much potential. She had a guy that loved her. She threw it all away. She just never knew what she wanted and it cost her a lot.
Rory doesn’t disappoint me in every way. Although she did mess up with not trying to go with him and not get married just to test it out there he loved or should I loves her so much Logan would understand that she didn’t want to get married
Right after college is too young to get married. Logan messed up by not being willing to just be.
That’s what happens sometimes, we waste our youth on losers!
Does no one care about the fact that he's engaged and Rory's aware and sleeping with him and everyone's ok with it?
Yeah in some ways it's not surprising. Lorelei would never do that. And she was shocked when she caught Rory with Dean. Lorelei was raised by conservative parents with morals just like Lane was and said she had to wait until marriage. Lorelei never talked about being with lots of other boys as a teen. Only Christopher was ever mentioned.
Suddenly liberals like Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham are being mentioned. Before it was music groups and liberal journalists. I'm guessing the reason it is less on the wholesome side has more to do with the creator and less to do with what the characters would have developed into based on their past.
idneilkell Lorelei slept with Christopher when he was engaged
That's different because she already had Rory with him. In her mind they were a core family. Are you sure they were engaged? And not just living together? Her getting pregnant changed every thing.
Terri theintrovert actually I believe Christopher and Sherry broke up by that time and then he came back because Sherry was pregnant with Gigi
@@leamsc3032 I just watched the episode and Chris and Sherri were definitely still together when he and Lorelai slept. He told Lorelai that the relationship wasn't going well, that's all. So Lorelai slept with him knowing that he is with another woman (even if he said he was going to break up with her).
poor finn it looked like he was loosing his little sister or something like that
Don't tell me he doesn't still love her. Look at his face at 1:20.
She doesn't wanna talk about them and just says, "we got to get you home"
But you can see in his face his heart is breaking.
It's like he was waiting for Rory to tell him to leave Odette and be with her.
Logan: "Tell me not to go"
Rory: "What?"
Logan: "Tell me not to get on the plane. Tell me to blow off my father, the paper, the whole Huntzberger destiny. Just tell me I can figure something else out. Just tell me not to go"
yep, but she doesnt want a real relationship with him
going by that logic she doesn't want to be with Jess either. But by all honesty, she certainly does want to be with him and it's clear that she is in love with him (and not Jess). Even Emily asked if she was. She just has some serious commitment issues tho and let's be serious she turned down his proposal that leaves something in the air and the lack of communication proves it.
Kisa Yamato I agree. I just realized of her three main men, Jess is the only one she didn't sleep with.
Sign4lyf Rory is not miserable when she's with Logan. She lost her direction all on her own not cuz of him.
He has aged so well😍
i love Finn he is wonderful to Rory. i cried through that scene
Ally Miller me too 😂😂😢😢😱😱
i meant sad faces not laughing 😭😭 they all seem so similar
Mckayla Hill l loved Finn with rory sense his character was introduced in season 5 episode 7. but I really loved him when she was dumped by Dean at her grandparents house. Logan said pick Finn because he is isontic. I think that is how spell it
Ally Miller I feel the same exact eay it was heart broken when i saw this scene near the end it was just to sad i nearly cried
Rockart9 Well said. I agree.
xGood Onex Umm sorry but its clear in this revival that Rory has more feelings fof Logan than Jess
Did anyone notice Logan's tears when Rory said "we have to get you home"? My heart is dying.
How can anyone like this guy? Good gravy he’s a loser just like her dad! Probably why she was attracted to him because he is as low as her deadbeat so called father
Seriously a Yale graduate and she ends up knocked up?? GFOH!! Sleeps with another woman's man again? So she didn't learn from Dean.
Dianne Sternchos haha
Mar Jerry I know she should have ended up with dean. He was the best boyfriend and she still have feeling for dean. I love when she said to dean how she wish she had met him when she was older and mature. She ended up just like her mom
@@friscadesca613 I feel like the writers would've put Rory with Dean in the end if Jared Padalecki hadn't moved on to do Supernatural. Love both shows so very much, but that's what I believe.
Dianne S yeeeep
@@ambood1707 they were actually going to do more with the divorce storyline too
When Rory was saying goodbye to Fin, (forgot the dudes name) and Collin it was just like in Wizard of Oz when Dorothy was saying goodbye to Lion, Tinman and Scarecrow.
I love that you got the reference. None of my friends mentioned the Wizard of Oz yet. Does that make Logan, Oz?
Maybe but I see him more as Glinda but Oz makes sense too.
Singalong54321 I got the reference at the time. just didn't think it was clever
I got the reference. Being it's literary and on the schmaltzy, corny side, it suits Rory.
exactly! Only Dorothy did not sleep with the wizard when he was already engaged lol
This is by far the saddest moment in the entire series! It's also the most loving. Robert, Colin, and Finn are by far the best sidekicks in a Dramedy ever! Of all Time!
Robert Grimaldi 😂
#JusticeForJess
pinkldy101 Agree! This is why I liked her with Logan. He made her question so much about who she was and the sheltered life she led with her mom.
She hasn't always been so terrible, she was nice at first. She changed slowly and dramatically after meeting Logan. I thought that was a phase she has to go through in college, but in fact she never got back. Even after going back to Yale and reconciling with Lorelai, she was never the same old Rory, kind, loyal, generous, etc., but instead a more shallow, spoilt, selfish rich girl she was destined to be if she had been raised in the Gilmore house with Richard and Emily.
and jess desserver someone better .. not to be luke 2.0
I think I m going to miss you most of all ...stay photogenic I beg of you
Seriously pissed off right now!
Good point about not knowing how long it would run.
I love how Rory and the Life and DEath Brigade are like Wendy and the Lost Boys
More like Dorothy! lol
The whole Rory ending up like her mother thing felt more preachy than realistic to me, especially when they established just how different they are from each other from the very beginning. It's like they were thinking "Well, it's been years! We can change her personality dramatically and people would still buy it."
That's not how character development works guys. Even after she slept with Dean she realized her mistake, and Lorelai was there to help her realize it. Now all of a sudden she's casually cheating on this poor guy with a married man and both she AND her mother are fine with it?!
Wrong! Logan isn’t married, he’s in a daddy-arranged media marriage. and casually dating Paul is normal for a young woman.
No in college now Jesse had his ways but yet was right with how much rory changed when he came back..
God, they are still so in love with each other. Logan's face expression is heart breaking.
A. Ham
Jess was no good?
How can she know she is pregnant if she just had sex that night? duuuuumb
#teamrory
She also didn't write the 6th season so the whole logan story might have gotten completely changed from what she imagined it would be.
This goodbye was almost the same as the goodbye in wizard of oz
It's basically life coming full circle. Rory is now her mother. Jess is luke and thus we're in for another ride 16 years later. Do the Math 16 years ago Lorelei was 32 and 16 years later Rory is 32.
Matt said he did not feel Logan was like Rory's father. Alexia said she did not like how Rory was. I think she wanted to be with her child's father.
source?
Makes me sad that Rory has turned out to like this.
idneilkell great points. I agree!
I think there should be more episodes
I really want to know what happens now
Logan has helped Rory in many ways and they deserve to be together.
How is the fiancé in the way? Lmao
I love the Wizard of Oz feelings at the end.
Miryam Hernandez She wasn't, she drank that night.
I have been also wondering the same. She seemed to have changed her mind suddenly in the morning as if she suddenly realized she was pregnant. This would explain why she drank the night before because she did not know she was pregnant at the time.
It’s his dads business deal. Is he gonna leave or stay?
You cut it off before the worst part. When he takes the faux-photo and says, "Yeah. Just like that," and leaves.
THAT was the heartbreak.
Didn't you mean cliché? :D
It's history repeating. Logan is Rory's Christopher. They'll never end up together because they just don't work and Jess is her Luke.
Molly Jones I agree and it makes me so angry. Team Logan !!!!
I want more!!! ggrevival endgame rory and logan is really sad how much love each other .. and make a baby now!!!! netflix make season 2 pliss
I think it was possible to have this moment, the scene without the affair
I think it just needed to happen so much earlier for her and unfortunately it didn’t.
Obviously he said that marriage with Odette was a business deal arranged by his dad (though realistically what would a French media company have to do I don’t know)
anyone else get a Wendy, Peter Pan and The Lost Boys vibe when Rory was saying goodbye?
Lynette C. Definitely! That knowing how he has a heart thing was totally a reference to the cowardly lion or even the tin man
TheLadyWolf1 yes!!! It was sweet, cute & funny and at the same time saddening
PREACH!!
Jess maybe it all depended upon; if things could of been a little bit different, then yeah I could see Logan being her Luke.
Kira Jeppesen that's what I was going to say. It's Amy's fault on How she had it end, and we should be angry with Amy not the characters.
It's 2016. But I'm team Logan although I think in the reboot A S-P sabotaged his character (and Rory's) for her life-cycle theme (which is ridiculous in my opinion).
this is the part that broke me the goodbyes
I love how they wrote this like Wendy saying good bye to the Lost Boys
The episode with friends is great. It feels like being uncommitted makes them more committed. They can't bear to be without each other. But, it feels beneath Rory and i want someone more perfect for her. And then, i realise it actually was.
This Wizard of Oz moment was so amusing 😂
I think they don't portrayed her as perfect at all. She had depression for god's sake. Lolol
Characters who cheat bore the crap out of me.
snowbella48 that's true too.
I agree. I loved it. So they stepped outside of the snowglobe fairytale world for a while and it got a bit real. It was wonderful.
we cannot really say that is the story repeating it self.
Slexie27 doesn't matter because the writer's interviewed on buzzfeed and gave the reasoning for her to abort
"I don't think she's listening to me anymore" hits so hard if you're still thinking about what was on his mind that he didn't say at 1:20
I honestly thought it was just a dream xD wasn't there a talking crow at some point?
the talking crow is just a prop, i'm pretty sure..i don't think it's supposed to be a real animal. of course that whole situation was over-the-top and fantastical. like we're supposed to buy that a whole lot of money just buys all this fantasy stuff? getting into the computer, altering the sign on cue, etc. Did they pay for all the fog and mist, too? *rolls eyes*
BlueBird Covers The whole thing looked too "Alice in Wonderland" for me xD I was expecting an appearance from Toto at some point
sunshaped But it was so so weird xD They even broke into Doose's ! That's why when I heard the final 4 words I was confused because I thought even sleeping with Logan was a dream
they broke into Doose's because as the Life and Death Brigade they had
some criminal tendencies. do you remember in the old series when Logan
tells Rory that there were authorities looking for them? it was just part of their normal privileged rich brat behavior.
sunshaped first and second season Rory would never do that! I hate how she became a rich spoiled entitled brat
Why is Finn the best?!?!
Colin: "I said he was from New Zealand"
Finn (the Aussie): "only a man with no heart would say that to me"
Rory: "you know, I think I'll miss you most of all"
Finn: "stay photogenic, I beg of you"
Love that guy
I love when she's saying goodbye to the boys it's a parallel Dorothy in the wizard of oz
I think Logan has always been the best for rory, he was always there, and he always will be. I know Dean was too, by the circumstances were different, Dean had no reason he could leave. I also think Logan is his own person, not just rorys christopher. When you think about, could you really see Logan leaving her too raise a child alone, after seeing how much he loves her? he would probably leave Odette in a heartbeat if rory told him about this.
no one's naked yet ..now I know I have a heart coz it's breaking
i think this is the scene, the morning right after conception
It’s not the ending, it was the redone Season 7. Season 8 would be the last, the revival just set that up.
Step-father-in-law. :)
I am going to assume if you're watching this, you've seen the whole episode. This is the night we are left to assume she gets pregnant.
schumi246 you forget about the wookee hookup... So it's actually not that obvious who the father is :)
The wookee hookup happened in spring, this the fall. So she would have to be 4-6 months into her pregnancy in fall and isn't.
Palmira Farkash she would be at least 5 months pregnant. It's VERY obvious who the father is. (Logan)
I was thinking that in this she already knows she is pregnant and ends with him cuz she knows he wants the other woman or she knows he is not the father.
This is like *Dorothy in the land of Oz* with the tin-man scarecrow and lion
And now Rory is going back home to Stars Hollow 😢 (Kansas)
I don't think this story is over let's all keep rooting for more.
balled y eyes out at these scene
barb walker me too. Rory and Logan's whole relationship broke my heart. I was always team Logan so when she asked him if he was really going to marry that other woman and he said yes I cried for Rory :(
stupid Huntzberger's Dynastic plan
I'm fine with it because if Logan is Christopher then Jess is Luke. He even mentions Luke's in this scene. Team Jess is alive and well!
If Logan is Christopher and Jess is Luke, then who would Dean be?
Lisa Gall I'm not sure if dean has a counterpart or not. Max is a good bet (especially since Dean was the one who gave Max the pointers about talking to the pepperoni, haha).
(From 2 interviews with amy palladino) 1. We wanted Rory to date her father,” Sherman-Palladino says. “Every girl has a father issue, and Logan was Christopher. Logan was charming, smart, and not quite the dependable soul that you need. Or, at that time, was not the great dependable soul.”
OMG, I love Finn
2:17 No one's naked yet!
This scene😭😭 I want a revival even a sitcom heck the guys would be great uncles to Rory and Logan’s baby😭😭
asp said that logan was chris (bullshit) but she never said jess was luke so i wouldn't blindly trust that after falling in and out with jess rory would fall for him again after god knows how many years, as milo said "rory and jess had their moment and it just didn't work out", and if logan it's chris there's a big possibility rory and logan will end up together cause in s3 chris left lorelai to be with sherry cause she was pregnant with his child
Ok all I'm saying is that logan better be the father! All the other guys would not make a cuter baby then them two!!!
Team Logan forever. Rewatching the revival and there so much unsaid. So much tension between the two. It's like they want to blurt out I love you, but they don't. Such a bittersweet ending for Rory and Logan. I do hope it's his child though. And I hope they make it work.
when Robert sadly takes the steak &it droops down over his hand XD
this is the end of rory and logan 😭😭😭
If Logan is the father, there's some hardcore parallelism between Rory and Lorelai. Privileged girl and the privileged boy have a baby, but they're not meant to be together, because the girl is meant for the genuine guy who's a little rough around the edges (luke/jess)
I think I'm gonna throw up...
That would be terrible and lazy writing. There is nothing wrong with similarities, but if they do more "chapters" and decide to go in that direction I would be disappointed.
I agree, the writers said this was the direction they planned on going all along. The story comes full circle. "Where you lead, I will follow"
They truly love each other, I really think she knew she was pregnant and couldn’t tell him. 😢
So there is a chance, very very slim chance, but still a chance that Jess is the father.
rory and finn is the best brother sister realationship we need
I was so disappointed in this season. I always felt like she should of ended up with Logan but she turned down his marriage proposal. I felt she would of been happy with him instead she’s just repeating her mothers life smh just disappointing
Rory and Logan goodbye made me so sad!!😭😭😭
Her talk with Christopher makes it very clear that she doesn't intend for Logan to be very involved. She's done with Logan romantically.
This was like the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy says to the scarecrow, "I think I'll miss you most of all." Right?
logan was about to cry... i did
What if it's a baby wookie !! 😮
No she had a drink with Jess later on.
Really? I remember she had a drink with Jess while at the Gazette, but that was in Summer. Did she have a drink with him after that?
Pretty positive she had just found out that she was pregnant in the scene where she gets off of the phone and leaves the house to go see Christopher but runs into Lorelai and Luke in the living room while Lorelai is dancing around with soda cans in her hand trying to lose weight before the wedding. You could tell in the scene where she got off the phone that she was nervous and then as she leaves the house she's flustered as Lorelai reminds her to bring her bag. If anything this was probably the night she got pregnant since its implied that she and Logan last see each other at the beginning of fall (so September/early October) and by the beginning of November when Luke and Lorelai get married she knows she's pregnant.
thank youuu i totally needed this little recap because hard as i tried i could not pinpoint it
Lucia Cecilia No problem!
I wish logan and rory got married

I want a season 2!!!
It would be Season 8, and “fake fans” ruined it by not getting the redone Season 7
he is so heartbroken that he can't have her
HEARTBROKEN.
Team Jess forevah. This makes sense though.
Rory is a despicable character.
I never saw them together, so yeah, this was a good ending for them.
He always waits for her to give him a reason not to leave 😢
I'm team jess all the way 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
