There's a new directive in place to prevent blocking at free kicks and corners, Will Hughes is clearly there blocking, facing the wrong direction, holding and trips him up with his leg. The ref blows correctly. Eze should be angry at Hughes and/or the gaffer for the instruction, the ref got it 100% correct. And that penalty for Everton was definitely a penalty. How do you keep them players happy? Give them 7 year contracts for ludicrous amounts of money per week, to spend their entire career as 3rd/4th semi injured rotation options for the carabao Cup... Mourinho, Lampard, Terry, Drogba, they are the anomaly to Chelsea FC, from the day Claudio Ranieri signed Adrian Mutu, right up until today, one thing has remained true throughout : players who sign for Chelsea don't want to play football, they want to get paid footballer wages 👌 I'll give you an example, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain was offered a 50% payrise by Chelsea, as his Arsenal contract was running down, Arsenal offered him an extention, Liverpool offered him a pay cut and guarantee of minutes dependant on fitness... Chamberlain went on to feature heavily in the champions league winning team, Kepa Arrizabilaga through a tantrum because he wanted to be the reason he didn't win a trophy and lost a final... the difference in todays football is 100% down to mentality, not of the media, not of the managers, not of the fans, but the players... people act like there isn't 100s of hours of footage of Klopp or Pep screaming and swearing at their players, only because they win so often and achieve so much you usually see them happy and relaxed in public, but they created a squad of players for their mentality, their ability can be taught, can be coached and improved on, their mentality can only wilt, so it needs to be at peak from the moment they sign... Example... compare 8 mill Robertson signed from Hull, to Cucurella, the fact he plays so well for Spain and in recent memory, highlights exactly the point I'm making... every team in the country is laughing at Chelsea and thinks what happening with Gallagher is embarrassing for the club, he isnt a superstar that every team wants, it's not fandom or everyone supporting their favourite player, it's common sense locked in a war with psychotic billionaires
