I've watched many reaction vids and the one thing that drives me crazy is pausing the music. Thank you for not pausing and respecting the music especially with Linda.
The guy was a girl when Warren Zevon wrote the song. Linda changed things up a bit on her version. Warren's version is good as well. Both he and Linda's voice left us too soon.
Stan, check out Pirates Of Penzance with Linda Ronstadt. It's on RUclips. Go to Poor Wandering One. Linda sings soprano here. This is the culmination of her fabulous voice and singing ability.
I love Linda Ronstadt's vocals and Warren Zevon's songwriting. Try Linda singing "Long, Long Time" and Warren doing "Werewolves of London" and "Lawyers, Guns and Money".
Warren's great songs are numerous and varied. In my opinion, Werewolves is a long way from his best stuff. He wrote it as a novelty song and it's a shame with the number of great songs he wrote, that it's his most well know song...not that it's a bad song but there are at least 5 songs on the album with Werewolves that are definitely better
@@billbitterman9487 I agree! But "Werewolves" just makes me smile. A rather silly premise, but WZ's clever lyrics make it so much better than a lesser artist would have. "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" is one of my favorites. I've had Linda Ronstadt's version on LP since back in the day. An outstanding performance!
@@kaychristensen4394 I own the self-title Warren Zevon album with Poor, Poor Pitiful Me on it (The whole album is excellent) as well as LInda's Simple Dreams record with that song on it. I also play guitar and sing a hybrid version of the song. Yeah...I kinda like the song and both artists
Warren Zevon tune. RIP my Chicago brother
The greatest most versatile female vocalist of her generation.

Down So Low live from Germany 1976 by Linda. Bluesy and emotional

i turned my speakers way up . . . . . and rocked out, man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is emotional drained when she sings the live version of Down So Low it's just an amazing performance.
When Linda gets the cowbell out you know things are going to rock.
You left ouy opera and the Great American Songbook.

Linda is a credit to her gender.
❤ This is a Warren Zevon song. Check out "Werewolves Of London". 😎

@@billbitterman9487 I believe we've reached synchronicity. Peace out, Babe! 😎
I always heard ex-govenor of California Jerry Brown had broken her heart.
They actually parted on good terms and are great friends to this day. 🌸
In ‘76 she was dating a Democratic presidential hopeful. The joke was, would she be called First Girlfriend?
Great roadtrip song!! 🏄♂️
