"Livin' in the memory of a love that never was." Wow. Best description of unrequited love I've ever heard. Have loved this song since back in the 70s when I first heard Linda's recording. Happy to see a new generation knowing this beautiful song and this one-of-a-kind performance by Linda.
The most beautiful voice on the planet. Hands down. An amazing talent with a forty plus year catalogue spanning multiple genres. Nice reaction. Her live performances are legendary. 🌺✌️
I saw Linda in concert in 1977 and the ticket price was $7.50!! I’ve been listening to her for decades. I challenge you to find anything by her that is not awesome. Thanks for the reaction 🌻👵🏼✌🏼💜
Stunning. She was that way. Her "Prisoner in Disguise' album was my favorite for a good year back in the day. She has Parkinson's et can't sing anymore but there is so much to enjoy from her. God bless her.
I love that album too. I like her version of "I Will Always Love You" better than Whitney's. Dolly Parton liked it too and thanked her for her rendition. "I Will Always Love You" Linda Ronstadt ruclips.net/video/D090T2MSxKY/видео.html
One of my favorite singers! Some of the many great hits she has: "When will I be Loved", "Don't Know Much" (duet with Aaron Neville), "Blue Bayou" and "It's so Easy".
I love Linda! I found this song a few weeks ago and now listen to it everyday since. I think it’s my all time favourite of all time!! Great reaction Trippy. ❤
Lots of love from NM… my grandma had Linda’s Canciones de mi padre on cassette in her kitchen when I was a kid… just like every hetero guy my age she was a huge crush for me… ❤
Like yours, my love of music is very broad. There is simply so much out there. I was very lucky my pop had a large record collection, plus i had at least a thousand records before i gave a bunch away, and now i let my mood dictate what i listen to. I appreciate that you try to listen to stuff you may not be familiar with. I wish i could send you some kind of overview of everything i have listened to over the last 60 or so years including the stuff my pop exposed me to. Keep on keeping on, Young blood.
From her early days the one song that compares very closely to this is "Love Has No Pride". She pretty much nails the Live version every time -- so close to the studio, it's amazing.
Not that she was better, she was really top 3 singing in Spanish, and there was also Karen Carpenter. I wish she had recorded more in Spanish. Canciones De Mi Padre, Mas Canciones, and Frenesi are really great albums.
Hi Trippy Hippi3, I was wondering if you had heard of Melanie Safka's passing? I know you really love her songs so much. She passed on Jan.23rd. I've always been an avid fan of Melanie, I have loved all of her music for many many years and have many of her albums. Perhaps you might spend a week in a tribute to Melanie, by reacting to one of her songs each day? One of my three favorites is "Some say I got devil", "Save me" and "Secret of the Darkness". I don't think you've reacted to either of those songs..

Linda is the best! Love the quote from Willie Nelson. So true! To know of Linda is to love her!
My favorite forever singer. Linda's voice is peerless.
This song gets me every time.

One of the best singers of all time. Try her doing Down So Low, live from Germany

Linda is known in Tucson way back when. As the Barefoot Princess in Tucson. Tucson's favorite daughter. She even sounds better in, Spanish.

Your girl Melanie does a great cover of this song.
Memories.

So many people get that quote wrong. It's "those who never met her."
Check out Tina Turner's version. Hint: They are both great.
Dude, Clean up our room!!
Clean your room.
He’s a man! Lol. 😂
