Grew up in 60’s, going to concerts only expected to hear the singer-sing. No lip syncing, just pure talent. Lucky our generation had true talent to listen too.Linda also did 2 double platinum albums in Spanish. Also, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt made two albums under Trio. Pure, unadulterated talent.
The most beautiful female voice on the planet. She deserved each and every one of the multiple awards and accolades she received. An amazing live performer as is evidenced here. This is my favorite live performance of hers. The passion and the amazing control and use of volume. Just stunning. This was in 1976 in Germany. Please explore more of her forty plus years catalogue. You will never be disappointed. 🌺✌️
@MrZocor That's not true, she has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, her memory may in time be affected, but it has not yet reached an advanced stage, regrettably there is no cure, nor any effective treatment for the disease at the moment.
Control, Power and Clarity are trademarks of Linda. This song is off Linda's "Hasten Down the Wind" album, her 3rd straight platinum in a row. Linda was the first woman to accomplish that feat and she didn't stop till she had 6 in a row, 8 if you count her 2 greatest hits albums.
I saw this concert live in 1977. She made many slobbering fans for life...including myself. Dig deeper into her career, and you will be amazed by her talent.
This is blues. Just another type of music that she took on and mastered. As well as this, she did rock, pop, country, jazz, mariachi and opera. You have just entered the vortex that is Linda Rondstat.
This live, in a 15,000 seat arena. She could fill those large venues with her power, and cut through the guitars and bass with ease, which made her perfect for the decade of the 70s.
Legendary singer-songwriter Willie Nelson once said "There are two kinds of men. Those who are those who are in love with Linda Ronstadt and those who ask: Who is Linda Ronstadt?"
Great reaction. Ms Ronstadt performs many genres. Please consider “Ooh, Baby, Baby” (Motown), “La Charreada” (Spanish) and “What’s New” (American Standards) for a sample of her diversity of styles. Different genres but always with that great voice.

Fuck! Her voice is so beautiful!
@MrZocor I did not know that. Is that why I haven't seen her for many years?

@MrZocorit is terminal and she won’t be with us much longer. And that’s TRAGIC!
Probably the best mezzo-soprano ever to lend her voice to popular music.
I was lucky enough to have seen Linda live many times and yes...she was this good. ALWAYS!
Her Spanish tracks are amazing, La Charreda

One of the best of all time
You are not the only guy to be gobsmacked by her voice.
That's a performance you can watch a thousand times and never tire of.

nice reaction - FIRST TIME HEARING Linda Ronstadt Down So Low ( REACTION)
Legendary singer-songwriter Willie Nelson once said "There are two kinds of men. Those who are those who are in love with Linda Ronstadt and those who ask: Who is Linda Ronstadt?"
Yes, live without Auto tune or any other electronic help

Look up Blue Bayou and Desperado.
"There are 3 singers: Barbara Streisand, Linda Ronstadt, and Connie Smith. The rest of us are just pretenders." - Dolly Parton.
This was written by Tracy Nelson around 1965 and is about her relationship with musician Steve Miller.
Yes. Tracy recorded a powerful stripped down version with just a piano. She's a gem.
@@janetsmiley6778 Certainly her father's daughter, to be sure.
Another stellar version: Tracy Nelson & Mother Earth.
Listen to her studio version of Desperado
She wasn't the Queen of Rock'n' Roll for nothing!
