Sick video bro thanks for the shout out at 5:20 respect 👊🏽👍🏾 glad someone who loves warhammer is getting use out of them
Thanks :) yours is the only one which mentions the ultrasonic cleaner! that's cool af. Good thinking whoever had that idea first is a legend hahaha ;)
Apparently not the safest way to do it, especially with the methylated spirits, but hey it works for me!
@@slimehousetv wow, thanks for replying to a video from ages ago 💜
I just started to get into 40k as a hobby to do with my younger brother. We're adults now and like as you get older and live further away and stuff, it's nice to have hobbies to bring you together. So I'm collecting sisters of battle, because I thought it made sense to go sisters before misters lol His mates donated me like these old school metal models. Also I am right into the books and I read this novel about Valdor who was the first leader of the Custodes back during the unification war, and so my little bro got me the forge World model of him. It's soooo detailed.
Anyways, I hope you're still enjoying the painting and thanks again for your video it was great advice, and seeing how it messed up your hands it also is a good warning too. I hope you're more careful these days 😊🙏
Bro I literally had the same experience stripping hundreds of my own models using the ol toothbrush and Dettol method. Fuck my hands would stink for DAYS afterwards, I swore never to strip another model. Love to see more content creators getting into Warhammer, especially Oldhammer which is starting to see a bit more love these days!
Insane! Glad you enjoyed the video hope your stripping went well!
Those vintage minis look sick. If I had more room I would have a table dedicated to displaying them. They look sick even w/out the paint! 😲
Great line and cleaning project dude!
Dude, been into Warhammer since 95.
Love the warhammer content. You've even got some Space Crusade models in there, thats where my whole warhammer journey started
Some of my faves those man!
Love it! Your warhammer world video got my girlfriend to go and we loved it 🤣
I’d paint a model and send it back to you as that video was my gateway drug back into it all after 20 years lol 🤣 spent the last year getting painting the plastic crack!
Would anyone else here do the same?
That would be a truly thoughtful gift!
You wouldn't have any spare Squats would you? XD
Not right now dude unfortunately!
We should 100% have a battle! Orks Boyzzz! Lighting looking on point - Ashley
Been on the fence about gettjng an ultrasonic cleaner myself. I almost exclusively own secknd or third hand models. This really alleviates a lotnof my anxieties about doing so
I had no idea the figures were that old, in my country only very recently some speciality shops started importing the figures from time to time, it's so cool to know more about them.
Glad to have helped with some info man, although mine is also very limited when it comes to this stuff compared to a lot of peoples
I’d like a video on your cap collection...I’m sure you wear a new one each time you’re on RUclips!
Haha love a good cap!
I like the idea!
Love it!
Def do some more warhammer stuff! Profiles on figs and some painting would dope
DO NOT PUT METHLATED SPRITS, OR ISO, IN AN ULTRASONICE, THE FLASHPOINT OF THESE IS 12C AND WHEN THE FUZE GOES IN THE CLEANER, THEY WILL EXPLODE.
haha great to know! what would you suggest putting in there instead, that works the same but is much safer? always like to learn as much as i can about this stuff :)
@@slimehousetv LA,s totally awesome, or Dettol, any water based cleaner that doesnt burn.
The only safe way to use iso in these is with a $35k a blastproof, nitrogen interted one one from for instance tavotech, OR using an isolation beaker, and having free space for 5m arround, (Or only insulated electronics)
If you wouldnt put it in a microwave dont put it in the ultrasonic.

heres something similar happening with a tv.
significant amounts of the room will be on fire from the vapour and putting the ipa out will not be an option, before it ignites the carpet, or walls, or anything nearby. At which point you will not be able to put it out, and youll need to call 999.
So ipa n metha are a no no but dettol is safe tonuse in the ultrasonic cleaner ?
yes
@@majorchronic81
yes my g big video
Some great cleaning results there. Interested to know if you scrubbed afterwards and in what solution?
Thanks for watching! Just scrubbed em with the tooth brush and left them to dry
@@slimehousetv I'll be trying this myself tomorrow hopefully. Really hoping it works on the Heroquest figures 🤞
I'm going to warhammer world soon!!! and recently learned how to strip plastic models. I'm a crackhead for Warhammer nowadays lol. Dettol isn't the way because it's so expensive. The answer is IPA alcohol.
I don't collect or paint warhammer miniatures anymore. It is too expensive and i don't have the time. But i still love the lore. Check out the action figures mcfarlane made. I have the space marine and necron. They look great.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 get it done bruv stop procrastinating all the fuckin time...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👊🏻
I played Eldar in 40k.
