I had them since late 2020. They were fantastic. Battery life and sound was impressive. Rugged, very well built and magnetic earbuds. Failed last week but because the plastic over the buttons gave up and the control unit kicked the bucket. If anything, had I taken a bit more care, I'd still be using them.
I picked up a pair out of convenience since I needed something for my daily morning bicycle ride. to my surprise, I was able to complete my 2 hour ride with the earbud still at 100% charge.
Excellent review. Well prepared and presented. No hesitations or use of conversational crutches like m or eh or erm either. Easy to listen to and gave all the relevant information without the waffle.
Very good review, never had an issue with sweat and humidity. Owned them for 6 months and watched this video before buying them. These are a bargain for 25€, i recommend.
I narrowed my list down to JBL tune 130nc($50), these Sony ($18), earfun air pro 2 ($55), Skullcandy dime 2 ($23). And it went in that order of me knocking them off. I ended up getting JBL. I almost got the Sony with them but opted not to because I don't think I want to cord. After hearing the review, glad I went with JBL as I am more an audiophile and I listen to music and podcast about 50/50. Thanks for your help!
great video, well spoken and concise. i disgree with your con over the lack of nfc because i believe that the removal of nfc is part of what allows for such class leading 10+ hours battery life. at $12, 15, and 18 dolllars when discounted it is uncontested as the best value headset. at the $40 msrp pricepoint, the only other wireless earbuds that enter my radar are anker brand
I've had these for a couple of years now and agree with most of your review. I'm confused, however, about your comment concerning pairing with only one device at a time, as mine are currently paired with Windows 11, and Gentoo and Arch Linux that triple boot on a Dell laptop as well as my MacBook Pro and Motorola Android phone.
The trick to enabling the + and - buttons on PC is to connect the headphones to your Android and tweak the Bluetooth settings and Bluetooth codecs in Developer Options. You will be shocked at the change, it's as if these headphones were curbed out of the factory.
These were a really good bluetooth set but are not for long-term use. I washed them once and knocked them off while working out on an elliptical and they still worked after that, but died very abruptly after I turned them off after a workout. They lasted for just two years, but still was a great first bluetooth headset. Also didn't have great long-range coverage so I needed my phone near me at all times.
Bought an Oppo Enco M31, one of the best neckbands I've ever owned. It lasted me for 2 years. I'm so sad they discontinued it. Tried and bought the Enco M32, and it was such a downgrade and it only lasted me a couple of months before the other earphone stopped working. I usually use my earphones while I sleep. Just bought this Sony WI C100 without thinking too much of it since I just needed earphones badly. It's not that bad. The design isn't the best, but the comfort and sound quality is satisfactory.
Have them for 3 years with no problems at home and outdoor/gym for 29€.. Nice but not outstading sound and very good 16h battery life! New JBL 215 has multipoint BT for the same price...
I`ve been using them for over a year and a half now. I am using them for listening to music, podcast and making conversations through my Iphone. I am very satisfied in every situation. The mic is ok, actually I always use them when I`m talkin on the phone. The bass is ok. The battery life is soooo long. The neckband is great for me because that`s a secure way not to lose them and to fall out of my ears :) Overall I am very satisfied and I will order one more pair for the office :)
Thanks for the detailed review, so, what other neckband do you recommend to use for voice calls. + I used a good Tronsmart that can connect to two devices at the same time, have you tried one of those too?
I bought them yesterday because my Pixel Buds 2 were unusable and I don't want to buy something expensive right now. Maybe I will grab good Sony overears soon when I find a good deal
Hi there. Yep I bought 3 of these little guys a year ago for $19.99 and I like them. Now trying to upgrading to wi-xb400 special buy at $39, do you have any video on that one?
They are decent for the price $32 now maybe abit lower in better deals. I have Skullcandy Push Active buds with better bass ofc, but the only issue is audio latency for gaming use.
I’ve had no issues with it falling out by wrapping the wire once around the neck. It’s actually more secure than most when running bc this takes away most of the weight and wire jiggle.
You are great thank you a lot! I look for earpiece with not bad mlcrophone and good battery and of course not bad sound. Do you have any suggestion like this device?
I'm looking for one with good mic for voice calls aswell as music. But not with a long wire like w310. If some one knows of one in the same price range then please let me know. Thanks
Thanks for the great review! I'm looking for sweatproof BT earbuds with a wire, so that if they fall out I don't loose them, and with full controls (volume, next-previous track etc), for my Android phone. Hey, I've been having an issue with these lately. I hear static, sometimes higher than normal, but there's always static IF the app plays sound. It's bothering me, help.
Hey bro ....i had the wi-c300 and i loved the sound quality so much because they were so loud and and the bass was so good but mine got broken . Are sony's earbuds as good as these ????
Other than the physical design difference (Like I say in the vid, the cable on the WI-C310 is seriously long), I'd say that (sound quality wise) the C310s are as good as the C300s.
really good review straight to the point, can anyone suggest earphones for workout and jogging. around the same price as these maybe abit more is fine thx :)
C100 has more attractive features like DSEE and ipx rating etc but it's sound quality is so much compromised don't buy I just heard it yesterday..... 310 is best
On a product to product comparison, I'd say the WI-XB400. It's only marginally better than the C310, but the XB400 does definitely have more bass which makes it the better one for music listening. Based on my experience owning both models though, I still think the difference between the two isn't very big which is unfortunate when considering that the XB400 is a bit pricier than the C310. Honestly, at MSRP/the original prices, neither model is easy to recommend (C310's original price is $39.99 and XB400's is $49.99 in US dollars). There are other, non-Sony options at the $40-$50 range that may be more "worth it" than these two Sony ones. Similar to my conclusion in the video though, the on-sale/discount price is a different story AND both the C310 & the XB400 regularly go on sale. If the C310 is on sale for $18-$20 and the WI-XB400 is not, then the C310 is definitely the way to go. If the XB400 is on sale (usually for around $28-$29.99) & the C310 isn't, then I'd say go with the XB400 since it'd be both cheaper & slightly better than the C310. If both are on sale (like C310 for $18 and XB400 for $29.99), then I'd personally go with the XB400 cause I want the better sound. The point is to only get one of these when they are on sale. Don't spend $50 on the XB400. It's not worth that much.
I personally always get Sony earbuds on eBay open boxed. Prices are usually around $12-15 for both models. The XB400 has more bass and sounds less sharp. But it protrudes more so that affects its look and comfort when laying on a pillow. The C310 has less bass but is clearer and sharper. It protrudes less so I think it looks more sleek and is more comfortable on a pillow. Both are quite stable for running if you wrap the long wire once around your neck.
Not really. The main difference is that the WI-C200 come with round, thin cables while the WI-C310 come with flat cables. By cables, I'm referring to the ones on the bluetooth earbuds & NOT the charging cable here. Beyond that, the only other difference between the two is probably that the WI-C310 comes with more color options than the WI-C200. They're practically the same thing so I really don't know why there is such a big price difference between the two.
Good review but i would get more shots of the item and less floating talking head and your voice is great. sounds like you were meant to do this thing.
Hello, I want to buy headphones for daily use like listening to music in bus, in uni and joining online lectures. Im considering wi-c310 or wi-xb400 but I dont know which one to buy, the price difference doesnt really matter to me. Which one’s mic is better do you think? And also I am kind of a small girl so my ears are also small, which one do you think would fit in my ears better and wouldnt fall down ? I like that c310 is metal and looks nice but Im not sure if they are heavy and would fall from my ear easily. Also is xb400 shorter? I will be really happy if you give me information that I need. Thank you so much
The mic found on the WI-C310 and the WI-XB400 are basically the same (meaning they are equally terrible). If you need to be able to use the mic in online lectures, I'd recommend against going with either of those bluetooth earbuds. The WI-XB400 and the WI-C310 both have the same length as well. I don't think there really is a significant weight difference between the two bluetooth earbuds either. I honestly don't know how well either of these earbuds will fit in your ears. If I were to guess, I'd say that that the WI-C310s are probably better suited for small ears, but it is one of those things that really does depends on the person and the shape of their ears. My suggestion is to pick up a Sony WI-C310 from a reputable store w/ a good return policy. That way if you try it out and it doesn't work out for you, you can easily return it and go for something else. Hope that helps.
For what it’s worth, I don’t agree with this reviewer at all. I have every high end Bluetooth headphones you can name except Bose (Sony XM5, AirPods Pro 2, Focal Bathys, Pixel Buds Pro, and Galaxy Buds Pro 2). I just picked up the Sony WI-C310 in December 2023 for under $15 on Amazon. Sound quality is stunningly decent. I would genuinely say the passive noise cancellation on these cheap Sony headphones is better than Google and Samsung’s active noise cancellation. Full stop. I wanted some cheap headphones to work out with and do not find the cord too long at all. These things obviously lack bells and whistles (audio source doesn’t stop when you pull an earbud out for example), so these headphones are fantastic for my use case. Yeah- the cord is a bit thick, but.. so what. I strongly recommend these earbuds in (almost) 2024. I should note that the cyber Monday $12 deal I got was a big factor, but they’re $18 full price (a price the reviewer does recommend them at). I guess maybe I don’t strongly disagree with him after all.
Have you tried running with these headphones on? I only mentioned the cord being too long because I found the length to be annoying when running and exercising. And I figured I'd mention this since it was a problem that I did not have with the previous version of these headphones (Sony WI-C300s).
@@OctillionthTech I was walking my dog, using the exact earbuds you were reviewing while I was typing my comment. I started typing early on in the video, but found myself agreeing with you more and more as the video went on (that's why the end is more conciliatory). A big difference between my perception and your review is the 2023 Cyber Monday price I paid versus the non-sale, 2021 price-- I paid about a third of that. I stand by what I said though about them blocking out noise better than Google and Samsung's flagship earbuds though, and I took a pic of the earbuds and headphones I currently use: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1y4QmMgpO2a7ecbUA1C9umIlMcD-POy7F?usp=sharing (although I now realize that I didn't put the XM5s in the pile-- I have the earbud, not headphone, variant). Anyway, solid review. I'm subscribing. I didn't mean to start any static.
The problem with these earphones is the treble, it’s really high and my ears hurt after listening to a couple of songs, I tried adjusting some settings on my phones equaliser but I do not work in terms of sound quality so overall if sony made that one small adjustment these would be worth
I m thinking on buying these headphones. I want an In Ear Headphones and i only have 55dls... do you have other suggestions or should i go for these Sony? I want a good sound quality and i don't really mind if it's not wireless. :c
If you don't need it to be wireless, I always say go with a wired connection. Wireless is fine for what it is, but it's not gonna match the sound quality that you can get with wired earbuds. As far as wired earbuds go, I think the Apple Earpods w/ the 3.5 mm plug is the best way to go. They cost 20 dollars, but, in my experience, they are reliable, durable, and come with good sound quality. At the $20 price point, I'd say they are very good. If you prefer wireless though, the Sony WI-C310 is always a decent choice. As I say in the video though, make sure to go for it when its on sale.
@@OctillionthTech Thank you so much. I will probably take your suggest with the apple earpods. I've been seen a lot reviews about the KZ headphones and it seems pretty good too. Should i go for it? Have you u tried before? (kz)
I've never tried the KZ headphones/earbuds before so I can't really say anything certain. Having said that, I know for a fact that DankPods (RUclipsr who reviews headphones/earbuds) tends to recommend KZ earbuds a lot. DankPods is more of an audiophile than I am and, as a result, tends to be a lot stricter with his reviews of earbuds/headphones than I might be. So if someone with high audio standards like him is recommending the KZ earbuds, I'd be willing to bet that their sound quality is really good. From what I've seen, DankPods has previously recommended the KZ ZSN Pro X (around $25) and the KZ ES4 ($20). To be fair, DankPods, like me, seems to also approve of the Apple earbuds, so it looks like you'd be good going with either option (Apple or KZ).

The problem with these earphones is the treble, it’s really high and my ears hurt after listening to a couple of songs, I tried adjusting some settings on my phones equaliser but I do not work in terms of sound quality so overall if sony made that one small adjustment these would be worth
How abt bass
I like them
Isn’t more ridiculous to walk around with a pair of ear buds sticking out like antennas?
Your suppose to cross them.
@@OctillionthTech Omg, thank you so much.
You've been so helpful.
I will propably choose the Apple Earpods or the KZ. 🥺
@@OctillionthTech i
shirts on inside-out.
Sony does not make good microphones with their headphones-
Such a shame
These Bluetooth headphones are the equivalent to the .99 cent wired headphones you find in a bargain bin.
Audio quality it's garbage tier.
the most useless bluetooth headset i' ve ever had. I had headsets from ebay with a 3 dollar cost that were more reliable than this one
Terrible, terrible
They fall out all the time
Disappointment
I think I heard, “I’ve owned these for about an ear now” (think he meant a year. 😅😅👂👂👂👂@0.05
