I was taught in hign school by SSJ's of St Augustine. Loved and respected them. I also have a dear friend in St Louis who I call "Auntie". She is 90 and a perfect example of loving her neighbor. My life is better because of the SSJ's.

I don't think God cares what someone wears beyond basic modesty, and, I think most young women are not interested in wrapping themselves in multiple layers of cloth if their main interest is devotion to prayer.

DEAR SISTERS, I THINK THAT YOU WOULD BRING MORE BEAUTY BACK TO THE CHURCH IF YOU WORE A HABIT, THEN YOUNG LADIES COULD SEE YOU AND IDENTIFY WITH YOUR ORDER IF THEY ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING.
@@ginterka381996 being a nun is not mainly about the outer appearance. Sr. Mary Benedicta, wonderful women, loved her. Sr. Raymond Francis I still have the hurt in my heart from her mean words.

The elderly Sister is truly a nun!
The Sisters Of St Joseph became very leftist after Vatican 2.Hopefully a reformed version is founded one day like the Sisters Of Mercy Of Alma.
It's so sad. They had beautiful habit and were great congregation, but they lost it.

Can you imagine living your entire life dressed like that? Unreal.
It was a sign of their faith.
There may be good nuns; but, I got the bottom of the barrel. If you had a good experience with them, I’m glad for you. Pray for Peace
Sr. Rita, nice jewellery, how does that fit with your vow of poverty??
Hoop earrings that most likely are costume jewelry, and a plastic bracelet, and you have a problem with that?
