    So far you’re the only reliable review on RUclips for these pans (must be new?) Just got these from Costco and the review helped so thanks! Can’t wait to use them

    Just bought these. 😊 Can’t wait to see how they perform. Such a good deal I think at Costco, for 3 pans. This was an informative review, thanks!

    I bought these during my stay in the US and brought them back to Europe with me. I must say that the quality is incredible. Skillets in Europe are thin and mostly aluminium. Especially well known brands like Tefal feel like cheap skillets compared to these. I hope that these will last a long time for me but so far, they’ve been great.

      Pretty cool to hear you bought these pans while visiting the US. Hope they perform well for you over in Europe. Thanks for watching.👍

    I almost got these but opted for the plain stainless pans. The only reason is that any type of nonstick coated pans are always disposable. It doesn’t matter who makes them.

      That's what was said about the ceramic nonstick cookware I got more than 20 years ago to replace my old, bad PFOA nonstick cookware, which has since been banned by the government. Those ceramic nonstick pans are still in great shape and I expect to still be using them for many more years. This hexagon/nonstick technology is still too new to have a feel for how long it will last. But, with good care and common sense use, I see no reason why they would not last as long as my ceramic nonstick cookware has. I have been using some of the hex-nonstick pans for several months now and love them. Only time will tell how long they will last.

    Thank you for doing this informative review. I wondered if the manufacturer recommended preseasoning the pans before you started cooking with them. That might explain why you were having a bit of trouble with your first egg test even though you were using some cooking oil. I was pleased to see that you were handwashing these pans. They will last much longer this way. Many manufacturers say their cookware is dishwasher safe, but they always recommend handwashing. I would never put any of my precious cookware in the dishwasher.

    I got these when they were at Costco. I agree about the over easy. Use butter. I've had them for over a month and they are solid, so to speak. We do a lot of cooking and used to have a catering business. I highly recommend them as well. 80.00, can't beat it. My wife stores them one on top of each other with a paper plate between them. Nice video.

    I have these and was loving them until today. Last night I fried Salmon patties in oil. I have been allowing the pans to cool completely before hand washing them and they have always cleaned up great. I let my skillet sit empty overnight since it was late when I cooked, but today when I went to wash it the silver ring around the top has cooked on oil that will not come off with no amount of scrubbing. I tried LA Awesome and a green scotchbrite pad and carefully went around the silver edge and it helped some but its still not completely clean.

      I recommend using Barkeepers Friend. You can wet it and make a paste out of it. Apply the paste to the area that needs a good cleaning and let it set for several minutes. Scour it off in hot water using something like a Scotch Brite pad or even steel wool, if necessary. Once you get it cleaned, you can reseason the pan. I always add warm water to my pans after I empty them so they can soak for a while before washing them (often overnight). If I used a lid, I put the lid on the pan while it is soaking to maintain the moisture level. Check the manufacturer's instructions for how to do a thorough cleaning first.

    Interesting, because i use only avocado oil and nothing sticks

  • @priestof1s
    @priestof1s 10 дней назад

    Buddy the reason your eggs stuck is you were impatient. You have to let your pan get hot, during that time, you can cut up garlic, onion, and whatever you like. Heat it up slowly and let it cool down some before you sink it under water, it will warp the pan. Oil is just fine but the cost sky rocketed so .....
    Next time juat relax and let the pan get real hot. Or get pans with a ceramic non stick coating but those are fragile and toxic if the surface is scratched

    Why does butter work better than avocado oil?

  • @michaelryan9143
    @michaelryan9143 6 месяцев назад

    Maybe these need a couple of cooks to season the stainless part. I think the expensive ones need some kind of seasoning also.

    I'm 57 and have been cooking since i was 12....everything from Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, Aluminum, Nonstick, Stainless Steel, Enameled Cast Iron....Folks Understand there's No 1 Pan Does It All in a Kitchen...And like my Grandparents and Parents you need some of Everything in Kitchen Tools...These Hybrid Pans fill a Tiny Neech between Nonstick & Stainless for Low 2 High Temperature Cooking (Below 500 degrees)...These Henckles, Viking, Lexi-Home, Black Cube, Hexclad etc are well made but 3 pan set should not be more than $80-$100 Max...from what ive seen they all look to be made at the Same Factory with small design-patten differences

    Does it need pre heating process like a stainless steel pan does? (10min pre heating and coating process)?

    What cracks me up is these novice cooks don't understand these pans are designed for searing meat, fish and poultry. Not for cooking eggs! You want a smooth non-textured surface for cooking eggs. 🙄

      You can use a pan for anything. Even these - and your stainless steel pans....smooth non stick pans, yeah? even they stick and all your "pro" cooks swear they don't. The reason they are used is because you can sling them from stove to oven asap. So you exactly aren't a pro yourself. A pan is a pan use it
