Waft Emitter seems to really be the easiest solution. I tried to make dummy bases to help avoid them, but waft emitter essentially resetting the raid timer is way less effort. Amazing videos!

It’s funny, I just discovered this game and around 20hrs in, never experienced one of these raids. I wondered if something had changed (modern games change so much after release, half of what you see on RUclips is out of date within a year), or if I’d accidentally done something to prevent them (I kind of like insects, and have only killed the ones that I needed to or in self defense against hostile ones.)
This game specifically has changed a lot over time. And, you are lucky if you haven't experienced a raid. If you don't kill many bugs you just haven't made them mad enough yet.
@@ADHD_Hobbies I may also have gotten lucky with my base location, which I chose for aesthetics (a tree house up in the rose bushes.) It's not in any of the danger zones you mention in the vid. Or else they only trigger after a certain point in the game , after a certain number of labs have been completed? Anyway, not complaining, I'm glad not to deal with them, unless maybe later in the game you get access to full on tower defense mechanics..

I'm glad that I could help. Hearing about mosquito raids causing people issues is probably the main reason I made this video.
I used to use the waft a ways down from my base and it use to work perfect but now when im aware of a faction that i have upset, i can no longer trigger a raid unless my wafter is close to a structure. Does any one know why this might be?
This is a new one to me. I may have to mess around in my game and see if I can duplicate your issue.

Not at all. A raid can spawn near anyplace that the game considers a "base" and you are at it. I've had raids at some of my places that don't even have a place to sleep.
