    First time in prison 1994. I was 27 and quiet frankly, terrified. I needn't have been.
    Like you said, just keep youre head down and learn the ropes.
    Done another 3 sentences after that, last one in 2002.
    No more of that shite for me thank you!
    Great vid btw 😃

    Great podcast, thanks William.
    Thinking of your advice for people to make the most out of their time in prison, it reminds me of Christy Kinahan who learned several foreign languages while locked up. He used his new language skills on release to further his criminal enterprises.
    Great idea for the lads who need to start of with the basics and missed out while growing up, though.
    And... well done staying clean (or not caught, but hopefully the former) for the past ten years.

      I appreciate that thanks. I quickly realised that people aren't into that bullshit, its better to be honest and tell people what you actually felt. i.e. scared/afraid/unsure etc its much more relatable

    Bro I’m looking at a 10-18 month sentence for sec20 GBH.. frankly I like the idea of going to the seg, focussing on my callisthenics and yoga routines and reading books.. I’m late 40s and frankly can’t be arsed with the youngers throwing their weight around. I’m a normal guy, had a pub fight that I didn’t even start and the other guy broke his arm when I laid him out. My question is, if I request rule 45, is serving my bird the way I’ve described possible?

    • @firstnamelastname9616
      @firstnamelastname9616 9 месяцев назад

      Does that mean you serve 5-9 months in jail? Also what about getting suspended sentence or home detention curfew?

    I was inside for a short time might be heading bad awaiting trial. The best advice is to carry money as you cant use cards or your own bank but money on you can be put in account. 50 was limit here. Have addrsses and numbers either remembered or wrote down on a list because things are so slow in prison it takes awhile to access reception to get your phone to get numbers. They are that overcrowded you can be lucky to get to gym i only went once as they were too short staffed to let me go again as were at capackty. Systems in sorry state right now so take anything you can to get out cell. library to get books etc.

    Thanks for the video. What typically happens to people who have learning disabilities in prinson for example people who are autistic and/or have ADHD. Assuming they are in prison for a normal crime like ABH, fraud, driving without insurance ect. Do they usually get bullied?
