Worked great on a Honda Jazz 2007 mk1 with slightly different but original remotes which had had flat batteries for a long time- thanks! (Took a couple of tries on each one)
Take your key to the dealership and it’s 10.00 to cut and 75.00 to program the chip in it to start the car not just unlock the doors like this video is showing.
I have done the same thing to my car. Question here The doors are unlocking and locking with the new key but can i start the car directly by getting the key blade cut and putting the new key in ignition and start the vehicle?
Recently i had to replace the ignition switch. I went with a oem used one that came with two original keys. My question is how do i reprogram my old remote to my lock switch
Same question. Came with the two dumb keys. Had to wipe all keys with my scan tool. Now, want the fob to work (even though the key isn't for the ignition)
@@seth37174 it depends were you live as I don't have a exact price, your better options is to called the dealership were you live or go directly there.
Does will start the vehicle with the new key? and how you cut for a new key??. Theirs a lot of information missing as you still need to go to the dealership or have something to program the new key and get the key cut.
@MsDragonbal776 well I mean still need to program the key to the immobilizer as is not going to work by trying start the vehicle, as will need at least a key programmer if you don't want to visit the dealership or he knows the steps without one 🤷, that's what I mean. What year was this civic? I have same car but a 2009. My understanding is we need to get the 'mobilizer' or chip to get it to work with the car. Not sure what year they started that. Is your civic older than a 2009?

Yes, of course. I don't think it would even fit in the ignition if it weren't cut. You also have to have the car programmed for the chip, or else the car won't start.
I've attempted this on our 04 EXL several times, this video is the only one that was successful, many thanks!

Legal crooks. Its quite amazing that they get away with the way they gouge people.

Coming from someone who works at one, they really are, they get even the employees too fr
Stealerships
Serious crooks.
Worked great. My key fob broke and i needed this fix when i replaced everything!
Can you jst put the old key into the new fob? To keep from getting it cut
@sean.g4516 thats what i did
@@sean.g4516yes as long as the new fob has a new chip you can also take the chip out of the old one and put it in a new case with the same key
Worked for an ‘09 CR-V. Thank you!
This is very similar to a dealer changing the cabin air filter in a CR-V and charging $$$. 😟
My old car they wanted about $200, right around $100 parts and $100 labor 😂 I did it for like $10 or $15 and 30 seconds to a minute of “””labor””” lol
Does the car start if we do this trick and get the new key blade cut ?

It was so fast but I did it, I programmed 4 remotes. Saved me a ton of money 💴 thanks.
How did you get the additional remotes programmed? For me its only working with the last one I pressed lock on.
Where did you buy extra keys? All I can find it the plastic shell for the keys without the chip
Works on honda accord 2006!!! Thanks for this video!!!
Thanks, it literally worked the first time I tried it. 😊

Got a key fob from Amazon for $15 and this worked. Perfect. The key won’t work so I will cut it off and just use my regular key.
I literally just got my key fob today and this helped me out more than you know!
Can this trick start the car
Hi! Does the new one have to be purchased from Honda or just, say, from Amazon?
It can be purchased from anywhere.
Just make sure the specs are the same. Frequency etc. 433MHz for example.
I have done the same thing to my car.
Question here
The doors are unlocking and locking with the new key but can i start the car directly by getting the key blade cut and putting the new key in ignition and start the vehicle?
Im curious too. Can it turn on engine?
No, it does not. You will need a key programmer or go to the dealership.
Awesome finally my key fob starts working 😊😊
Worked like a charm. Thank yu for posting. 👍🏽
Really helped to much I did it now and it woks thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks. Will this also start the engine? (immobiliser!)
No, this only programs the remote portion.
You need a key programmer.
My 2003 Honda Element DOES NOT HAVE REMOTE.
How can I program my new keys because I replace with a new one the Ignition cylinder
Thanks bro, it works perfect, easy programming, you saved me money .
Can you do it if you just have like a key without buttons
