    In today's busy world, we often hear advice on how to make our lives better. Some of these ideas seem really good, but when you look closer, you might find that they're not so helpful. In fact, some of these ideas are like tricks we've gotten used to, and we don't even notice them anymore. Let's talk about five of these tricks and why I've decided to do things differently 😊
    One common trick is the idea that we need to keep working hard all the time to be successful. We're told we should always chase our dreams and never stop. But I've learned that it's okay not to have a dream job or to feel like we're falling behind in life. Instead, I've started to take life more slowly and intentionally, finding happiness in the simple things.
    So, I've decided to live a simple life and not fall for these tricks that have become normal. I've let go of the idea that I need to work hard all the time and that I must always improve. Instead, I embrace slow and intentional living, and I've learned that self-love is more important than trying to be perfect. Happiness, for me, is found in the journey, not in chasing a perfect life 🙌
    In the end, don't be fooled by these tricks that have become normal. Focus on what truly makes you happy, and you'll find that living simply and intentionally can lead to a content and joyful life.

    Any other things that people believe will bring happiness but probably won't? Keep them coming so others can avoid them 👇

    Great video as always! I think sometimes people fall into the trap of needing others approval to be happy... it takes a lot of work and bravery to accept that you're great and valuable as you are, regardless of what others think of you, even if you dont conform to what is "normal" nowadays

    • @SunnyKindJourney
      @SunnyKindJourney  9 месяцев назад +2

      Absolutely! The real mental strength is not to appear strong for others but to be your authentic self even though it would make you an outsider in a social group. That's real strength in my opinion! 💫

    What a clean and gentle critique of the toxic nature of hyper capitalism, without ever saying the word capitalism. 10 points! I feel like I should practice talking like this as well, so that I can go into stealth mode around my politically aggressive relatives instead of just grumbling to myself.

      Haha 😄 Yeah I feel like not talking too politically helps people see opposing views better. The words just trigger us so many times 😏 Thanks for the comment!

    This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 477 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

    Something people seem to believe brings happiness but probably won't: performative (fill in the blank) on social media. The presentation of authentic life for clicks. The blank might be filled with: (travel, craft, cooking/eating, fashion, fitness, minimalism, mindfulness, etc). If the goal of the documentation and sharing is for clout and clicks, rather than a genuine desire to inspire or share because the activity is a true passion, then little by little a dark void opens inside the person and they will never achieve peace.

    • @SunnyKindJourney
      @SunnyKindJourney  9 месяцев назад +1

      100% true. But I guess I wouldn't call it "authentic life" then, just a fake lifestyle 😄 I think we see this on Instagram all the time and that's one of the reasons why I pretty much stopped using it a couple of years ago. But it was a good lesson for me to try my best to avoid that even though it would get more clicks and faster growth. As you said, you can't really feel peaceful knowing you are faking something.

    As an old fart, I’ve learned to begin my days with focusing on gratitude giving thanks for good friends, children/grandkids, and my health. If I’m intentional an take time over morning coffee to reflect on good things I find my day goes very well. Stay f-k-n awesome Seve!

    Good one! Truly I have never been so miserable as at the times when I tried to please everyone. Yes, try to discover who you are and please that person. People who love you then will be the friends worth loving.

    I think I need "Life is not a race" tattooed on me somewhere, given the number of times I forget that. I suppose it's one of those things that's easy to lose track of. Great video! The last point you made is especially relevant to me at the moment. Your videos have really helped me these past couple of months. I feel like I should be taking notes, lol.

    Hi Seve, du bist weit gekommen mit deinen Ansichten in deinem jungen Leben. Respekt! Was für ein schönes Video! Ich gebe dir vollkommen Recht. Eine gute Partnerschaft zu haben bedeutet harte Arbeit. Wir sollten zuerst mit uns selbst im Reinen sein, glücklich und zufrieden. Nur dann sind wir in der Lage anderen Menschen etwas zu geben. Der Vergleich untereinander ist contra produktiv. Jeder jagt einer anderen Illusion hinterher, aber das Glück liegt so nah - wenn man es erkennt. Alles Gute wünsche ich dir weiterhin. Meiner Meinung nach ist deine Entscheidung zu 100% der richtige Weg.

    The paradox is that when you stop strive for external validation, as being top 1% of anything, you're actually ahead of 99% of people...
    When it comes to early retirement, I heard a different approach that resonated to me; don't retire early, retire often! That is take a break, change direction, try new things. I think it's good to be bored, that's where creativity is born!
    Tanks for your inspiring chanel!
