I play nurgle is Aos, and i used to play a ton of tournament magic back in the day. Nurgle sort of reminds me of a deck way back in the mid to late 90's called prison. It would just lock you downz kill everything, and slowly kill you. That's nurgle, lol. Not counting the drowned men list of early third edition. Which i still have 15 blughtlords sitting on my shelf from.
I'm certainly hoping so, I'd planned on going mainly for mortal units. They mentioned their battle formation will let them explode on death though which could be fun.
They look like they are meant to be a meat shield on objectives, while your other units debuff enemy ability to hold objectives From there, the main DPS seems to be the disease mechanic We have not seen the stats for Flies yet, so we don't know yet for sure how blight kings line up with the rest of the army I think they look good. I am imagining how my Stormcast are going to cut through them and it does NOT look easy.
This was my reaction too. The demons look neat, but I like the mortals more and blightkings just felt... hollow. Cool, they can stand on objectives good, but can they do anything else? With the way their Control ability is worded they can't even bully people off of an objective, it only applies to an objective they already control.
"I like the new Great Unclean One, it feels a lot cleaner"
I've been enjoying these faction focus videos, getting excited for 4th ed!

hopefully there are ways to buff the blightkings for a mortals style army

@@cmleibenguth my main list was a blightking spam in 3rd. If there's no way to buff them it's a pretty big hit to my list :/
