    I thought Gutter Runners were supposed to be deployed at the end of 1st movement phase, but actually it's ok since they are with the warp-grinder. That's a nice technique I took from watching your videos, it's quite nice to be able to surround the enemy!

      @warpfireminis  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yep! If you use their warscroll ability they have to come in turn 1, but with the Grinder ability instead they can drop turn 3 at the latest. It helps get them in the right spot at the right time!

    Great to see a new list! How do you like it. I was surprised to not see the Warbringer, you seem to have such a romance for it. Lol. Love seeing the Eshin models. However i hate to be that guy, but don't you need to have an Eshin hero to have a favoured enemy? Don't have my book in front of me. I'm sure you know what you are doing, you're a pro. In the event i am correct you should really try running Skittershank. They are fantastic. D3 mortals, potential for fifht first, 2 wounds each, deploy within 6". Love them.

    • @warpfireminis
      @warpfireminis  5 месяцев назад

      For the Eshin trait you don't need to have a Hero to gain the benefit! It's similar to how you don't need to have a Master Moulder in order to pick a mutation for the Hell Pit.
      I think Skittershank is also pretty cool, but the having to come in turn 1 part is something I just can't get on board with.

    Unbinding everything ever round is so lucky, whenever I have andtorian acolytes i never unbind much more than normal

    • @warpfireminis
      @warpfireminis  5 месяцев назад

      With the Gnawhole +1 to cast and the extra dice most of the time it's pretty easy to unbind the "key" spell you don't want them to get off. In this one that key one was stopping Mystic shield as the rest of them just weren't very impactful even if they did go off.

    Glad to see Maggotkin of Nurgle on table.
    Nonetheless the MoN player has made so much mistakes, the strategic aspect of the game was ruined as soon I've seen his deployment. No battle tactic anticipation leads, greedy over extension for no reason. Even if the list was not optimised with 3 herald, the end game would be more tense. Good job for your list and approach 👍

      Definitely not the best showing on the Maggotkin side, but he was a newer player who's still figuring it all out!

      @fabienzabik1339 5 месяцев назад

      @warpfireminis Everbody has started one day. Nurgle is easy to learn and hard to master. You're too slow to make any mistake in your movement phase. You don't have access to many options, and you are predictable.

    I play maggot kin of Nurgle and man do I feel helpless in situations like this. I don't know how to respond to armies that i can't engage or that are more mobile than me. I know that the Idea is that I am just so tanky that I just walk up, but it never happens. I lose in magic, i lose in movement, I lose in combat, ecc.. Is there some way that I can get better or is it just the army playstiyle?

      If you struggle to get in maybe try out the Glottkin. He gives you a "counter Charge ability" and a lot of board control which you seem to lack.

    • @brentlucas731
      @brentlucas731 5 месяцев назад +3

      I have been running Flithbringer with 3 endless spells: jaws, gravetide, sword. Glothkin, 3 unit plaguebears, 2 units of rotmire creed, 2 beast, 1 Nurglings. Corrupt the nexus. The list castles forward to thw center. The endless spells do the chasing down. If you get engaged glothkin has an nastly counter charge and blizzard hurts if they get to close to the coven. If you can keep the endless spells out. That is likely 3 cast not buffing them or hurting you.

    • @warpfireminis
      @warpfireminis  5 месяцев назад +4

      With all of the armies in the game you just really have to know your opponent's army and what they can/can't do. In this one for example the mission makes it hard to take objectives away early, so the big mistake was just deploying a little too far back; he could have had all of the big threats up on the front line and then auto-ran an important unit to make sure they're booking it up turn 1 and ready to get in turn 2/3.
      A lot of the successful Maggotkin lists are running the big monsters like Bloab and Orghotts who are just naturally faster and then combo that with the Glottkin who's Blitz ability helps speed you up in a big way (and is great at denying tactics!). From there you mix in units like Rotmire Creed who can still contribute at range, Pusgoyle Blightlords who are faster and can pre-game move, or Nurglings deepstriking in and Maggotkin is still in a pretty solid spot.

      1) Aos 4 is coming, so everything will change
      2) I play them since 1 year and I got to the conclusion that I need:
      a) 1 unit of 20 plaguebearers and a mage that give them +1 wound- this unit can tank anything.
      b) The counter charge of the Glottkin is massive, keep some strong unit in range or shield him beheind the plaguebearer and charge them
      c) The scroll magic of Bloab is really good for damage
      d) Blob and his brothers can really punch, I usually take 2 of them
      e) Use some furies to get sorround and distroy
      f) BLIZZARD!

  • @nicksiegrist378

    I missed how you are getting the high damage output from the 10 gutter runners. 4hit/4wound/0rend doesn't seem like a profile that would do much damage. Is there a buff you were putting on them for extra rend or something?

    • @warpfireminis
      @warpfireminis  5 месяцев назад

      For 10 Gutter Runners their base damage with no buffs into a 4+ save is 7.5. For Bloab in this one, that was their chosen target, so they get +1 to hit and +1 to wound which sends them up to 10 damage on average into a 4+.

    Thank you for another amazing battle reports, the new build is similar to the one I'm running in our PtG, priests and furnace is heavily underrated IMHO.
    I'm a bit confused about your battalions, you got both warlird and andtorian acolytes on you grey seers?

    • @warpfireminis

    Hi, I'm starting to play rats and I have a question for you. Does each Skaven army need to have enough leaders to activate "ALWAYS THREE CLAWSTEPS AHEAD"? Can I play without it? You use it in all your videos

    • @matorner8468
      @matorner8468 5 месяцев назад

      I mean, will my army "work" without it?

    • @warpfireminis
      @warpfireminis  5 месяцев назад +1

      If you have three Masterclan heroes it unlocks 3 Clawsteps for the whole game. You can have successful Skaven lists without it, but in my opinion it's too powerful to leave out. You typically want the two Grey Seers anyways for Locus units + grand strat, so there's no real tax to get it.

      You roll a dice for each unit on the objective and on a 4+ you take D3 mortal wounds. For the Hell Pit and the Clanrats I was willing to take that risk since they both essentially heal D3 as well! This specific turn I didn't roll the 4+ to do damage.

    I love your channel but am not a fan of this "story mode" type battle reports. The main reason is no mention of disease points, cycle of corruption stage, or contagion points tally. Those are an integrated part of that army and not mentioning it really takes away from this BR. Thanks again for your content, hopefully for 4th edition these reports will be a bit more informative.

    • @warpfireminis

      If I go through and talk about every little detail of the game we'll end up with a 2 hour video which just isn't ideal. Any time something is impactful or changes the game in any kind of way I make sure to mention it!
