People have a tendency to completely choke on their first impression of things. Without knowing it many people have probably written pages up and down about what is wrong with this season, simply because it's not season 1, and they thought it would be more of the same. Which as far as I know was never intended in any way, so it's really on them.
It was a lot more complex than the first season. Some people either don’t want to invest the energy into following so many characters and storylines or just can’t. I thought it was even better than the first.

scores can really escalate movies/shows...this was a perfect case of that for sure. She really set the tone and elevated the emotions I was feeling for these characters
The use of “the Rose”’ as the score for the scene in episode 3 or 4, quite possibly the best use of a track I’ve seen. Bravo to the producers of season 2.
@Fedor Silva I don't have a problem with the ending, personally. It's very depressing, but that's fitting for a story like this. Season 1 ended somewhat hopeful, this season didn't.
in my opinion the only reason season two may fall short is only because season one was so good with a perfect cast were as s 2 had way to many attractive characters to take seriuosly but still a great series

It took me YEARS to finally start watching this season. Absolutely loved it when I did.
It was simply the best so far in this series and this song was absolutely haunting. I still listen to it years later!

@Fedor Silva Season 1 and 2 really had their own style and story. Season 3 felt like a close of season 1, but just nowhere near as good.
