  • Today on the Matt Walsh Show, schools have become far more violent, unruly, and chaotic over the past decade. But the system has found ways to cook the stats and hide how bad it's actually gotten. We will expose that plot today. Also, Biden and Trump will debate; except, with all kinds of rules put in place to protect our senile president from embarrassing himself. And a video goes viral of a woman bragging about all of the household chores she refuses to do. Many women are cheering her on.

Restorative justice is such bullshit. I’m a teacher and have seen firsthand that kids can sit through a “restorative” conversation about their poor choices, say everything the counselor/ Dean wants to hear, then come back to class and literally do the same thing later that very day. I’m done after this year. Some of these kids are feral. I feel so bad for the respectful students who want to learn. They get so much of their education stolen from them.

I love TEACHING...but everything else sucks -- dealing with awful children, dealing with incompetent parents, dealing with "woke" and liberal colleagues. Students are JERKS -- and their parents are not sympathetic. "Restorative justice" is too forgiving. When I started teaching, a fight meant that BOTH parties were suspended. Today, a fight means that you will have a "time out." As a result, students KNOW that they can get away with being violent. There are NO CONSEQUENCES for today's youth in most cases.

Mr. Walsh, our school system was old school and I can't remember anyone ever getting suspended from school. Corporal punishment in the classroom in front of our peers kept things from ever getting to the suspension stage. Our parents also told our teachers that whatever we got at school would be doubled at home. We weren't so afraid of our teachers, but we were terrified of what our parents would do. This also worked out well for not having any encounters with the police.

39:23 I’m gonna take a wild guess that this child was a victim of restorative justice. Restorative justice doesn’t just mean not issuing consequences . One of the messed of aspects of restorative justice policy is that the victim is forced to speak to his bully and they’re made to open up about their “traumas”. At the end of the struggle session, the victim is forced to accept the bully’s half-baked apology. Abigail Shrier talks about it in her new book. The bully escapes consequences and he’s emboldened because his victim was forced to “forgive” him in a humiliating public setting.

I actually don't have an issue with the general idea of your husband doing his own laundry, booking his appts, packing his suitcase, etc. He IS a grown person and can do that stuff on his own.
But like Matt said, it is the weird scorekeeping and the outward announcement of these things, giving this transactional, business-like nature to your marriage; it's the weird conscious tallying of who's doing what and the active effort to not do certain things/only do certain things and proudly announce it on social media; it's all that which makes it so odd.
And then when she said "he makes dinner, I make breakfast and lunch." I can't imagine making my marriage that much like some sort of factory operation...and the irony of it is that she seems to think this sort of arrangement makes her marriage less like work, when in reality it makes it more like a job..."this is your task, you do this at this time..." sounds more like work to me than anything else.
Sounds so miserable. And again, the irony is in the delusion she has become lost in that makes her believe this is empowering.

My son at age 12ish was being bullied and it got to the stage where my son was scared to get on the bus so despite local council (the education authority) and the school telling me I'd face truancy charges if I kept him out of school I still took him out of school and started home schooling. I lost money because I had to cut down the hours I worked but my son was more important than the money, I had threats of legal action for over a year but MY SON IS MORE IMPORTANT. ALL of the men teachers along with the Principal and vice Principal got up in our faces and let each and every one of us know what would happen to us if it ever happened again. My granddaughter lives in California and is 10 years old. A boy at her school has threatened to cut her throat over 50 times. She has said how scared she is of him. I told her to have her dad show her how to defend herself and to hurt him. I don't want my granddaughter going to school where she feels threatened all the time, but I don't have that choice. Her mom went up to the school and told the school if the little boy threatens my daughter's life again that she was going to hit him and they were not going to even try to do anything because she deserves to be in a safe environment , which they aren't providing. Her dad was in the service and taught her how to defend herself and she did what she was told to do the next time she threatened her life. It worked! So my granddaughter didn't even get into trouble for hitting him first when he threatened to harm her with a knife, because they sat down and had a talk about it. 😮😳🤯 Now that is a crazy way to run an elementary school. They talk about their actions and no one gets suspended for being violent. So basically it is a free for all for students, because they talk it out and no real action is taken.

We've lost our way as parents. We were told the baby boomers strict discipline was child abuse. Obviously we were wrong and they were right because we're pumping out little criminals. In Japan they used to have strict discipline inside the schools. As a result they had an average crime rate of 11% per capita and out of that 11% only 3% of it was violent and of that 3% it was almost all exclusively foreigners committing violent crime while on vacation in Japan. In 2009 Japan stopped the discipline in the school and now that generation has hit adulthood. Crime is now on the rise. Clearly there's a link between discipline directed at the youth and socially responsible adults in a society.

If a parent doesn’t have the guts to accept, their child may be doing some thing incorrectly, they deserve to get in trouble. If they have done everything, talk to the child, brought in a specialist, talk with doctors and so on, then there’s really no one to blame except for the kids who are bullying.

I remember being bullied in elementary school around 2006-2010 ish and my dad and brother both gave me the same old prison advice “kick the crap outta the biggest kid there”, this was something that apparently worked in the olden days but not in my modern school where I was immediately branded the psycho freak who can’t take a “joke”. before I stood up for myself it was just the most popular kids who picked on me but afterwards nearly everybody did. The best advice I can give for a victim of bullying is find a hobby, work out and never look back at those who treat you like garbage because they’re only in your life for a short period of time, even though it seems like a long time while you’re in the midst of it.
