I see some comments here saying the ministers didn't handle it well. How many cases have you seen in Nigeria where a minister is this proactive? She did well. If you leave this matter for office and the rest it'll just die down and the bullying continues
I dont think this is the right way to resolve disputes. All the students involved should have been brought forward and exposed. The way the school management appears to be trying still to cover up,its disgusting. Its good the father was proactive.
Million of this is happening in public schools, who will fight for their justice? Minister of Education please let this extend to the ordinary children in public
What a shame, if a school has students you need CCTV to monitor and curtail their behavior, then parenting and school administration has failed woefully...
This minister is a very good, well composed and calm woman. This is the first time i am seeing her, and i am impressed with her personality. greater you ma'am.
Shout out from Europe 🇪🇺 kudos to the ministry of women affair and the minister of women affair Uju, I am watching these video many times with water dropping from my eyes, I am sympathise with the girl and her parents including all the past students bullying in that school and their parents Our children's most have justice ⚖️ the school most not go unpunished
This case makes me emotional. The Father & the child are refined. I feel the Father's pain; like you feel helpless not being able to protect your child from harm or trauma.
Wow! I really love you Madam Minister of Women and Children's affairs. You really did a great job by making your coming have a significant impact. And as little girl bullied, we are so sorry about what happened. Nigerians are strongly behind you. #Justice
The home is responsible for training their children, if every child is properly raised, the school would be a safe place. Every parent should take responsibility for raising responsible children. However, schools should have ZERO tolerance for any form of bullying or abuse. The parents of the bully should be held accountable for their child’s action
Honestly I am surprised that the honourable minister is not pointing out the failure of parental values. I laugh at how parents totally shifts the discipline of the children to the school. The teacher s are not even allowed to discipline students in all these high fee paying schools
honestly this Minister is making so much sense Truly 80 percent of the fault lies on the school,( Lets assume that the girl that was being bullied died in the process and there was no footage like the one we all watched to show what truly happened, i am certain that school and the parents of the bullies would have carefully spun a well crafted web of lies to cover up the incidence It is a big shame on the School
I like the urgent intervention of the Minister of Women Affairs. Assuming she wasn't in Nigeria, she can then send a representative. She is equal to the task and knows her onions. She defended the victim's parents, the victim, other students and guardians, and even the school and the culprit. She ensured she sat on the fence and letting the school knows the next step to take. When a house is on fire, if urgent attention is not given, it could escalate and only God knows who and who could be victims. My intake in all these is those students in public schools whose parents do not have required amount to send them to private school. They are mostly bullied daily without any action being taken against the culprits. I must concern the victim here. She was so calm while receiving all those slaps. I embraced her composure and disposition. She came from a well-bred and nurtured family background. Her father even said if his children should misbehave, they learn those bad behaviors in the school not at home. A student who slaps other students at freewill may likely come from her family where he or she is exposed to such devilish and illicit behaviors.
This is sheer neglect and irresponsibility and lack of proper supervision by the school authorities. Lack of moral upbringing and discipline. The Mininister should set standards for all our our schools worse things are happening in other schools. Thanks.Remember a students died in Dowen College. Private schools should not be money making enterprises but moral and educational institutions.
Bullies do not have a cogent reasons to bully. A bully is always a bully. No matter how calm you are, a bully will always look for one to oppress. Infact they like to dominate the quiet ones.
More power to the hon. Minister, these kinds of issues shouldn't be addressed by correspondence, but from the heart and proactively for all Nigerians to see, it's healing therapy for that innocent girl too, boy she's an angel❤️
They should made a law in school that bullying in school is not acceptable at all. Before any student is admitted in school, they should sign a paper stating this.
This school should be suspended for failure to protect this child. They have failed in their responsibility as a school. They should pay dearly for this. This will be traumatic for this girl. 3 days is no punishment for me

I wish all Nigerian children can have the privilege of attending good schools where their rights are upheld by the state. I wonder who's protecting the right of an innocent pupil or student in those interior villages where they're learning under the trees and sitting on the floor and probably haven't had their breakfast to school. It's a pity that in Nigeria it's only the lives and rights of the elites that matters and garners sympathy. I pity Nigerian poor children.
I am a Grandma I wept for the girl bullied when I was watching the video. The school should be closed for some days and those girls should be expelled.

The minister asked a simple question "where is the girl that slapped her?" The teachers were talking about the boy when she was asking for the culprit who assaulted the girl . They want to cover it up. For that, the school should be sanctioned
