I really appreciate your video, know profanity and you are truly truly trying to help the young generation with their fishing. You explain everything to the best of your ability. Not like a lot of the other people that think every big fish in the water belongs to them. good job. I wish I could hit like a thousand times.
I appreciate it. I’m trying to get better at slowing down and explaining things. Hopefully I’ll get better at it. I’m not the best videographer but I do think I can improve explaining ways to be successful. Appreciate the feedback
That underpin I’ve heard are great! Looks like it definitely works, you caught some good ones! Those summer time crappie are colorful with that golden look. Never gets old catching another one! Great video!
@@RaisedOutdoors yea I went fishing with a friend of mine and he used one. After we had fished this brush pile over and over. He used it and caught 2 slabs. I’m going to get some today.
Looks like a great way to spend your Independence Day. You caught some nice size crappies. I am going to have to get me some of those jig heads with the underspins like you were using. You said they were made by Mr. Crappie right? Thanks for taking us along of your July 4th fishing adventure. Really enjoyed the video. Take care and have a blessed day!
Great little fishing trip! Some nice slabs Glen! Sure love how gold they get in the summer. The under spin got the job done. That extra flash obviously gets there attention. That's real fishing.
That was a great video using that underspin, very nice golden crappie I luv that old school style that's what it's all about thank u very much James H.
Appreciate it James. I have a depth finder with side imaging but don’t use it often. Probably need to a little more but I’d rather throw than spend all my time riding around staring at a graph
I love seeing that reel in action Glen! You were in slab city brother! I love this kind of fishing. Kinda laid back, green water, and filling the livewell up with quality fish. Great stuff man. This was so easy to watch. Take care 👍
Yes sir that's how it's done! Way to slay them crappie! Those spinning reels is what I use too. They are awesome reels and smooth. Thanks for sharing your fishing trip with us!🎣💯💥
Those are some good ones about how deep is it around that bridge I really need to work on my summertime Croppie fishing. I have no clue even where to start lol.
That particular bridge is around 10’ deep around it and out a ways. We catch a lot of crappie in water 8-15 in summer. Most we have caught lately are in around 8’-10’ and scattered. Suspending around 5’-7’ deep
I use Super Glue after I put on the jig body. After putting on your jig, pull back and put just a touch of super glue (the gel type) and your jig body will let you fish all day with same jig and never having to keep sliding the jig body back up.
Crappie are typically structure oriented fish and transition according to time of year. We catch crappie every where we fish with these techniques including trips we’ve made to Michigan. The key to crappie is patience. Find structure or transition points on grass or creek channels. If you fish Florida, you probably have a lot of water with alligator weed and other vegetation that crappie like to hide in. Vertical jigging in these situations is often a good technique. Always fish just above crappie as they feed upward. Remember that crappie are finicky and must use water to regulate their body temperature so when the heat is on they typically move to deeper water and suspend at depths that they feel comfortable in. Try different depths and speeds to trigger a bite.
Not much structure in that area but the logs running off the bank. Some of the crappie are just feeding in the water behind the bridge and some we caught throwing at the logs and reeling slowly

Better teach her how to reel slow enough or put on the right color, she's liable to aggravated with you pulling em' in left and right and she wasn't catching a whole lot 😅
@@RaisedOutdoors figuring out how deep to let the jig sink without getting hung in the brush is tough sometimes too. Your so blessed to have her in the boat with you no matter what👍 I'm 49 and only had one woman in the boat this summer and she's moving back where she's from. Having a woman who will go fishing with you is a blessing.

Good day chasing slabs. I’m looking forward to our crappie season and get out of this heat
It’s hard to beat the heat right now. We’re having a nice little break for a few days but that means daily storms
Great fun.
Definitely! I should have put them on a tape to show just how big they were. My wife said they look small on camera and I need to fix that 😆
Very nice crappies

Old school fishing is where it's at Glen!! Absolutely quality fish 💪 Nice slabs and the Bluegill was a biggin too
Absolutely! Definitely makes a fella feel like he accomplished something. People don’t possess patience for it anymore
Do you know the reason why they have that in the water

You da man Glen! Just go on turn pro brother. Such a good video busting Crap-ee!
Lol I don’t know about turning pro but I manage to catch enough to fill a dinner plate
Enjoyed the video sir! Nice catch! When you figure out how them giants always seem to come off the hook let me know 😂😂😂

I respect the old school fishing style!!!! Livescope seems kinda cheating to me a little. You did gets some nice ones also!
