    Tulingan /Tambakol (Mackarel Tuna) With its vertical stripes at the back, deeply forked tail, and a small velvety touch of scale. Paksiw na Tulingan is a Filipino Fish Recipe with delectable taste. Simillar to Inunonan Recipe in Visayan region.
    Ingredients:
    1 kilogram tulingan (cut or uncut), cleaned
    1 tablespoon salt, adjust according to your taste
    1 to 2 thumb-sized ginger, sliced unpeeled
    1 medium red onion, peeled and sliced
    6 cloves garlic, crushed unpeeled
    3 small long green chilis, uncut
    1 teaspoon whole peppercorn
    2 dried bay leaves
    4 tablespoons vinegar, coconut or cane
    2 tablespoons fish sauce or soy sauce
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    4 tablespoons of water or as needed
    sugar to taste, or MSG if desire
