Begs the question: Why use anything heavier? The FF z8's and the like are specialized fast action wildlife sports cameras. Why use those for everything else that a lighter kit does better (if not solely for the fact that it's lighter weight?)

Like all of us, I am struggling to find the right bag. When hiking, I need a bag that lets me carry clothing - I’ll be wearing a base layer a maybe a mid-layer but need space for a top fleece and a rain jacket and a first aid kit. I also like to have space for some more substantial food rather than just high calorie snack bars. How did you manage that on the France-Spain hike, or do you not need that?
