Stolas gonna call Blitz his “Impish play thing” and then get confused as to why Blitz just feels like a sex toy to him. Blitz literally spelled it out in bold letters to him the night at Ozzie’s yet he still didn’t get it.
yeah I get that after that point (despite how little they directly interacted), aside from calling blitz "blitzy" like 1 time, then at very least stolas stopped being so condescending towards him. cool, but he rlly should've directly acknowledged how he treated blitz. prolly apologized and explained he didn't fully understand how it must've made blitz feel; as sarcastic chorus has said, I get they had other stuff to worry abt but the "seeing stars" ep rlly was the epitome of avoiding the problems lol
@@stevenhedge2850 when stolas said blitz could come inside and watch a movie w/ him, blitz frustratedly turned him down p much saying "bro stop acting like u care abt me beyond being butt buddies". when he said stolas "makes that rlly clear all the time", he was not only referring to how belittlingly stolas talks to him but how he just hid his face from ozzie instead of defending his relationship w/ blitz or smth. now blitz def took stolas hiding his face the wrong way--stolas was just embarrassed in general, whereas blitz took it like "he's embarrassed to be seen w/ me". stolas obv felt bad abt it and that's why he stopped talking to blitz all grossly from then on / tried texting him abt it. so stolas at least got some of what he was saying but as many comments have pointed out, after all that (even putting blitz's personal issues aside) stolas shouldn't have been surprised or disappointed by how blitz took his love confession. I mean how would u react? lol
@@tiablue9106... Stolas didn't just do it one time. It's a habit of his. But the bottom line is both have their problems, and they both need to start working on themselves and being better. I think his biggest mistake was how the meetup started. Instead of very coldly requesting the book permanently without explanation and immediately putting Blitz on edge, he should have opened with a positive statement. Instead of: "Do you have my book?" It should have been: "Actually blitz, i have a different idea for tonight. I have a gift for you." He then could have gone over, getting the crystal, told him about it and done all the speech he had from there. Never even bring up the book in the first place other than stating that he won't need it anymore. Then if Blitz goes into his foreplay bit afterwards like he did, he could still interrupt him like he did but instead of walking off, he could just simply say: "No, blitz, this isn't a foreplay, i'm being serious." I think that the main issue with their relationship is that Stolis isn't clear with his intentions, leaving Blitz guessing and then Stolis takes it personally when Blitz guesses wrong.
Yeah, it was heart breaking to see Blitzø crying when Stolas wasn't even done, like bro- you're hurting him again! Stolas had it in his head from the beginning of the convo that Blitzø didn't love him, so he prob thought he was only begging to keep the contract for the book, but like...Stolas completely missed out on Blitzø crying like, both times!!! Ppl are calling Blitzø blind, but he actually has reasons and context. Stolas is literally blind to someone crying and walking after him a few feet away (both before and after the argument)
I've been saying that since the episode released. That breakup was Blitz thinking he was being thrown away, and Stolas not understanding he exists as a loaded 12 gauge while Blitz is a dagger.
Apology Tour really brought the issue into focus there. Stolas acts like he's in a romantic comedy, where things are bound to work out and your loved one eventually will say just the right words and do just the right things even if you never try healthily communicating what your needs are. But that's not how relationships work in the real world, at least not most of the time. Most of the time, you need to actually communicate what you feel and need. At the very least you need to do a lot of that in the beginning and during crises, so you and your partner can actually learn who the other person is before an intuition is developed for what they need and want. So Stolas is constantly assuming that Blitz lives in the same movie script as he does and *should* know all the lines and how he thinks and feels. But Blitz spent his life in a very harsh real world where most people of any other standing than his own had ulterior motives - or at least he thought they did. And he felt that they were right for that. I keep thinking of the dream sequence during his drug trip. About how Stolas did have him in golden chains, yes, but Stolas also was so pure and beautiful, surrounded by light and clarity. Blitz seemed almost relieved about the chains, about not being able to run away this time. He became more and more himself the closer those chains pulled him. I genuinely believe that's why he was upset. He was *glad* to be held close to Stolas by power. To Blitz, that was probably the only way he deserved to be loved AND the only expression of appreciation he could emotionally accept from someone he idealized this much. Being cut loose, Stolas accepting that he could walk out... to Blitz, it was like giving an alcoholic a key to the liqeur cabinet. And the painful and beautiful thing that Stolas can't see is that Blitz held that key and didn't use it. He did not run away this time. But since he has never done that before, he couldn't navigate the situation, and he gets so angry when he doesn't know what to do. That doesn't make it okay, of course. Being able to be hurt or angry without crossing lines is a vital skill that everyone deserves to have in a partner. But if Stolas knew that Blitz' script was about one Prince Charming amidst the life of hardship who would always reward devotion and adore Blitz even in his ugliest moments, Stolas would realize why things went this differently.
Which is ironically exactly how it happens IRL when one partner [usually the woman] decides to "beat around the bush" instead of being direct and then gets angry when the other doesn't get it immediately. For most guys, you NEED to be direct, you cannot beat around the bush or hesitate because men can, and will, assume the worse if things aren't clear.
Stolas: only talks about sex to blitz Also Stolas: why is it always about sex 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Stolas: I think so high of you Also stolas: knows nothing about blitz
@@random_dragon I think the degradation was the point of the pet name. Much like some people enjoy being called a dirty whore in bed but wouldn't enjoy as much in normal conversation. I just don't think blitz ever felt like he had the freedom to say I don't enjoy that.
The worst part is stolas actually does realize hes above blitzo. Subtle moments like the night club where the bouncer was about to throw blitzo out he stepped forward because he knows his presense holds power
That's the point. Until he fully acknowledges it and says it, Stolas will, without thinking, behave like an oblivious, privileged dummy. As well as being less classist towards the Imps. That too is a problem
I think Stolas thinks its so obvious that he respects Blitzo that he doesn't think about saying it until after their whole argument. Blitzo puts Stolas on a pedestal and his viw of him is reinforced by the way Stolas calls him "Impish little plaything", etc... but I doubt he would do all that if he knew what affect it would have on Blitzo. Pretty much it's miscommunication: Blitzo thinks Stolas thinks about him lowly (which is absolutely justified) and Stolas assumes that Blitzo puts them on the same level (which fits with hs character since he grew up in an enviornment where he didnt have to think about clasism since he was never negatively affected by it). sorry if that doesnt make any sense
Yes because he is fucking prince, you expect king charles to behave like some random dude working in your local shop? Of course king charles have much more power than random poor lmao
This culminates in exactly how stolas solves the issue of their contract. To end their transactional relationship he gives blitzø away. He doesn't even think of it that way. Just casually drops that he's under a different demons jurisdiction now. Sure it may have been the only way but certainly not great optics to make someone feel like an equal when you just give them away without even talking to them about it first.

I guess he's still angry because it wasn't Blitz himself.
Blitzø yelling "LET'S GO!" wasnt about physical fighting or causing physical damage. In this case "Lets go" was more of a "tell me what the fuck you want, yell at me, scream, treat me like an imp, i dont care but dont fucking abandon me because i have value and i can fix whatever i did wrong "
Finally someone says it. I dont know how people can portray that as physical fighting. Adding on to the reality of how Stolas treats his servant imps, it's easy to assume Blitz has been right there to witness that on multiple occasions. Blitz, an imp, seeing other imps treated like objects by Stolas would've reinforced his belief that he's nothing but a toy for him to use.
@@librarianlaura3697 Blitzø doesn’t use imps are objects, and Moxxie isn’t a good example of that. Blitzø is just an a hole to most people, and he just teases Moxxie.
I actually loved how poorly this whole scene played out because the actions that led to the misunderstanding are completely in character for both Stolas and Blitz. They didn’t completely 180 a character to make artificial drama, they’re both flawed in their own ways and those quirks lead to a terrible situation.
Also, something I haven't yet seen pointed out is that whatever little value Blitz believes Stolas to have for Blitz as a person stems from the fact that Stolas enjoys Blitz's company so much, something Blitz isn't used to in his day-to-day life. When Blitz has a shitty day and knows he's meeting up with Stolas, we can see him get a little excited, knowing he'll continue to be financially secure because of the book AND be given that sweet, sweet dose of appreciation from Stolas. In Full Moon, when Stolas proposes the Asmodean Crystal and adds that Blitz can now use a way to travel between worlds/dimensions without coming to see Stolas, that can come across as VERY insulting--"so this rich owl fuck is so done with me that he's giving me something that means I have no excuse to see him anymore? This situationship mattered at least a little to me emotionally, I thought he felt the same amount at least, but he's so quick to just write me off and pay for my absence? Oh..." And then that sliver of validation that Blitz has some level of worth to someone else is completely gone. He's alone again. What's saddest about this is that we know Stolas's intentions were the COMPLETE OPPOSITE, but because these two didn't fucking communicate during all of the time they've spent together or learn to understand each other's worldview, the Crystal's "message" carries two completely different meanings for each of them. Blitz is so surprised and hurt by Stolas's proposal that he can't consider what Stolas may have meant... especially because Stolas didn't actually explain his intentions! It's excellent writing and reminds me of that one scene during Shrek where Shrek hears Fiona belittling herself to her reflection from behind the front door, and Shrek mistakes it to mean she's talking about him.
If it was intentional and Stolas does get a character development, then yes, it is the greatest scene planned in the series, but with how everything is displayed, I think the directors, or at least Viv herself is keen on making Stolas the more innocent one who doesn't need to change their pov
One of the things in the episode that really got to me on how Stolas failed the confession is that Blitzo has been on the verge of tears/actually crying for pretty much the entire conversation (first he's teary-eyed at "I'll do anything", then he actually cries a little when yelling at Stolas), but the moment Stolas is crying he immediately sends Blitzo away. Stolas really wasn't emotionally prepared for this conversation, but also did not consider how Blitzo was not emotionally prepared.
SAME! Blitz is in tears twice before Stolas even cries. I get that Stolas just rushed though but god they needed 5 minutes to breath so badly. They are both such a mess
Exactly and from my knowledge this is the first time he’s cried in front of another character. I’m not condoning Blitzøs actions, but he had NO TIME to prepare and he was trying to get a second explanation that he NEVER GOT so of course he’s going to start lashing out. I have an avoidant attachment style and I think Blitz also does and he needs time, our first instinct to anything good is to immediately start running even though we desperately want tender love. Blitzø didn’t realize the true extent of Stolas’ feelings until he saw him cry. Ugh I want Blitzø to embrace the uncomfortable and appreciate those around him before they leave
It made my stomach all twisty when Blitzø was crying and begging and Stolas just continued his prepared speech. Big L. That does not say "I care about you and value you"
@@zoenesin520 so much of this, people seem to forget the dramatic irony going on only we the viewers know how Stolas and Blitz feel about each other. The last time Blitz and Stolas truly talked was at the end of Ozzie's and Stolas never denied himself using Blitz only for sex, so what reason does Blitz have to actually believe him? Not to mention the last time he belittled Blitz was in Truth Seekers one episode prior. I love both of them and do really want them to be endgame but am I crazy for actually understanding Blitzs' confusion aside from his trauma responses kicking in?
There's also the fact that right after Blitz complains about how hellspawn treat Imps worse because they're smaller and don't have magic Stolas then takes him away with magic against his will
To me, the biggest alarm bell that made me sympathize with Blitz was the way Stolas requested his Grimoire back. No attempts to make Blitzo comfortable, no pleasantries, not even a simple “hi.” He just requests his book back. I like the point you made that this wasn’t done out of malice and that Stolas was probably in his head overthinking when he requested the book back so he could proceed with mental checklist for the evening, but I love how we can all see just how jarring and traumatic this situation was for Blitzo. Even without his Grimoire, Stolas is still a prince. He has status and power granted to him at birth that he doesn’t have to worry about losing. Blitzo ,on the other hand, relies on this book for his livelihood and his employees’s livelihood. By abruptly revoking his access to the Grimoire, even if for that brief moment, Stolas unintentionally reinforced the power imbalance that has been fueling Blitzo’s insecurities about seeing their relationship as anything but transactional. For that brief moment, Stolas held Blitzo’s livelihood in his hands and made Blitzo beg like dog for it back. Moreover, Stolas doesn’t even acknowledge the distress he’s causing Blitzo. He doesn’t comfort him or even logically explain his actions to properly segue into him giving Blitzo the crystal. He just carried on silently and only resumes speaking once he presents Blitzo the crystal. Everything Stolas did, though well intentioned, felt like script, the plot in one of the romance novels he so loves. Stolas was so focused on his presentation, he never truly looked at Blitzo and acknowledged his emotions. God they are so messy but I really think they can fix their issues if they would just TALK.
More over how he goes about trying to cure the transactional relationship of their... Relationship is ironically one of the most transactional things he's ever done. He gave blitzø to Ozzy. We know Ozzy is a good guy. We know that this is all prearranged to give blitzø freedom while allowing a more open relationship between the two. But from blitzøs perspective? It's his father all over again. Selling him off as soon as he was no longer useful.
Yes, but Blitzø thinks that no one could truly love him, so I’m sure he brushed it off. As clear as Stolas’s true feelings are to Blitzø in the audience perspective, to Blitzø he’s never seen that side of Stolas before. In the show, we never see them discussing their feelings to each other before The Full Moon episode. And when Stolas says that he does have these feelings, Blitzø doesn’t believe him cause once again he thinks *’who could love me’* . And Stolas reacts to his reaction like he would with everything else, he takes it literal and trys to move on. He runs because he doesn’t see their differences when it comes to rank because Stolas was sheltered from the world and learning what the *”lower class”* is actually like. He also has no idea of what Blitzø is actually like, what he’s thinking, what he’s been through, etc. So he took Blitzø’s rejection seriously and not as a shield Blitzø uses. They’re both at fault and not at fault at the same time. They both have traumas, different lives, problems, ways of thinking, etc. They just need to properly talk and find more about each other.

Despite everything, Stolas still lives in the world of fairy tales. He wants this magical happily ever after, without realizing that in real life, things aren't so easy. No matter what, he is still a sheltered prince who lived a life way better than Blitzo's.
“Lived a way better life than Blitz” Are we watching the same show? Yeah I get that Stolas grew up rich and Blitzo grew up in poverty, that doesn’t mean Stolas had a better life. His Father was abusive, emotionally and physically, and so was the wife he was forced to live with for 17+ years, AND he’s a victim of SA from that same abusive wife. The whole point of the show is that BOTH Blitz AND Stolas have trauma and bad coping mechanisms.
Yeah because being lonely is the best life ever. I do not give a shit about Blitzo or his miseries. Non of it has anything to do with Stolas. Blitz should take the crystal and move on and Stolas should find someone rich to fall for. Your comparison of their lives does not make Blitzo likable one bit
It's ironic that Stolas' song "Look My Way" has him begging Blitzø to look at him and his perspective, yet in Full Moon he doesn't look at Blitzø at all :(
@@kennethsatria6607 I think you're the first person ever to say Blitzø is the one that deserves better. They're perfect for each other and all, but, when you think about, if Blitzø was a girl, no one would look past what Stolas did in episode 1. They would acknowledge how Stolas was spying on/took advantage of Blitzo. They would call him an obsessive creep after the Circus even though it's crucial to his caring personality and backstory. Some people might stan him for Bryce's awesome singing, but they wouldn't want Blitzø to get with Stolas. They would call Blitzø a slut, or they would think she was manipulated into loving Stolas. Someone who gets it! Stolas' biggest flaw is how *self-centered* he is. Stolas is kind, genuinely in love, is a decently good guy, but my god, he lives in his own little bubble. Stolas never seems to notice (or care) what others feel around him, or how they react to his nonsense. Stolas really failed to read the room when Blitz was begging for the book and trying to reassure him he can "do better". Stolas should have seen Blitz' distress and shifted gears a little, but since he had a set idea of how the night should go, Stolas plowed on without considering Blitz' reaction and feelings. Stolas, intentionally or not, only cared about how he felt and what he'd say, his plan, and didn't consider giving Blitz a moment to process all of this. Still love the ship, I want to see these two idiots overcome their issues and finally be a pair, but they have a bit of work to go, Stolas especially.
@@BearSmoothie Yeah! Even kind people can be a bit self-centered. Being self-centered is like a form of tunnel vision, it's not always selfish, just a bit careless and oblivious.

i dont blame him because that's how he was raised and never had a solid relationship to know how to read a room or to understand what the other person in feeling sometimes. he has never experienced or seen a solid relationship that wasn't like his with stella (abusive and toxic) or like in the novels he reads. now stolas was a bit naive for thinking that everything would be happy and great and he'd get a happily ever after after he gave the crystal to blitz and confessed but that's all he knows since he reads those romance novels. and if it's not like the novel than he thinks it will go to complete shit like his relationship with stella. he knows no "middle ground" relationship at all.
I'm seriously wondering if Stolas saw Blitzø crying in the first half of their convo. Like, he obvi didn't the min before he kicked him out, but when he was ripping away his business and life by taking back the book? How did he not see or pick up on Blitzø crying???
@@hehhehhehheh-wn7zz my guess is that he was so focused on going over his speech in his mind that he forgot to actually care about Blitzø's reactions, that and he didn't realize what taking the book away meant for Blitzø

Blitzs yelling at the end is beautiful, because it frankly shows how much he wanted to talk. If he didn't care about Stolas, he'd have left, he had everything he ever wanted, why stay there and yell? Stolas didn't realize Blitz needed the terms of the agreement, he needed Stolas to tell him what to do and when, and when Stolas started giving Blitz choices, he felt unwanted, because he's only ever operated under the act of being forced into situations. Him finally, and definitely being given agency to decide, was... terrifying for him. It made him immediately, but irrational, see himself as being thrown away. Think of like, a "if you set them free and they come back to you" situation, where maybe a wild animal is treated like a dependent pet and then...randomly, let go. They aren't always gonna feel like they are being "freed", they will just as often feel like they are being thrown away. Blitzs response, demanding to "fight it out" is how he handles conflict. Yell until they both understand. Look at how he fixed his relationship with Fizzorelli. They yelled until they had a break through. Blitz...was trying for that. And for a conflict oriented person, a conflict avoidant person shutting you down when you are trying to work things out... That's the equivalent of them throwing you away, cause they aren't willing to listen or be uncomfortable with you long enough to fix it. That's how I see all this...as a person who is conflict oriented myself. I saw Stolas shutting down as...him not being willing to make it work, even though it was obvious... Blitz was still standing there, willing to bang, willing to yell, willing to talk and think it over, and try something. Stolas was only willing to hear a yes. Blitzs response was...honest and all together more realistic. If Stolas could have been bothered to listen...they'd been past this in one night, not...probably another 2 seasons. lol.
I really like your comment although to me it isn't just Blitzø being a conflict oriented person but also because to him it's easier to lash out and yell than actually face his vulnerability. He uses sarcasm, dirty jokes and anger to cope with his feelings of sadness. He only cries when he's alone and seeing him on the verge of tears while yelling at Stolas got me. Those were his emotions spiraling out of control, the tears he fought to hold back and that came to surface when he didn't know what to do anymore. I feel similar, instead of crying, I'd rather lash out even if I become hated in response, just doing everything so people won't see how much it affects me and see me in a vulnerable position. It's a common trait of people that don't like themselves, this scene of Blitzø yelling and tearing up at the end, perfectly captures that.
Well… considering how it went at the beginning of Apology Tour, it was nice of us to think that h they would have worked it out in one night. Blitz’s answer would have been, Nah, let’s stick to fucking! While I do dislike how self-centered and bubbled Stolas is, I think half the reason why he sent Blitz outside when Blitz started yelling is that (as some people theorized) Stolas is just getting out of a marriage where his partner yelled at him and mocked him all the time and Blitzo doing that probably triggered him (or something). Honestly feel so bad for Blitz right now, especially after Apology Tour. I don’t think he should be the only one apologizing. @@onebraincellarmy6972 I don't agree with Stolas sending Blitzø out as a trauma response but instead because he wanted to be alone and couldn't keep it together anymore. I truly hope both can honestly talk for once!
i see myself in the opposite side personally. Stolas's view has its merits, he's not someone who's ever had to stand his ground in a conflict because he knows he has no need to have a ground to stand on normally: he's a rich influential and powerful person, while Blitz is just an imp, he just wants to have a sincere and direct relationship with someone so he tries to balance things out in his own way with his own power (which is also why he's tried to break this moral contract with blitz, debatable social skills aside). For someone who's as rational as Stolas, hearing a simple insult during a discussion where he symbolically says "we're fully even now, do what you really want" is like an unexpected punch in the gut: a painful realization that (in his mind) it was just a mask to hide the fact that it was a contractual obligation and his presence wasn't truly appreciated. Am i saying he was justified in doing everything he's done? absolutely not, they both have had a reasonable yet flawed approach, which makes this relationship very interesting and human. I just personally appreciate and understand the struggles of Stolas the most
@@tuamaputanna2897 I think it wasn't unexpected at all, actually. I think he knew it would go exactly like it did. His reaction was simply confirmation bias. He accepted defeat immediately He knew this relationship was just sexual, and breaking their contract would only result in Blitzs mask coming off, which it did, as you said. He fought with Stolas directly, and didn't lie to him through faked sexual interest, he just told him to his face what he really felt as an imp and Stolas - knew it was true but had hoped it wouldn't be. It's why he was vomiting that morning. He knew what Blitz felt all along but denied it, and just wanted him to feel something more. Blitz confirming for Stolas this was just sexual was why he dropped the conversation so quickly and moved on so fast. He knew what he was looking for wasn't there for him. Stolas wanted to be loved. Blitz just wanted to be held. One needed truth, another needed a lie that felt true. But in Blitz mind, who I empathize with more, They both had what they needed. A connection just intimate enough to fill them, but just distant enough to keep his wounded heart safe from feeling too much. Stolas is more straight forward to understand. I feel. He's very black and white with his thinking and struggles to see anything from outside of that perspective. He can't see his own political and social power, he can't see his own actions being interpreted as disrespectful. And he can't see how Blitz feels being valid. He can only see that his proposal was given what looked like a "no". Even though,Apolpgy Tour was the best kind of "yes" Blitz could muster. Indirect, sloppy, outlandish and stupid, and never admitting the truth but trying his hardest to say without saying the words, or showing his heart in the process. A hot mess of "yes". But for Stolas, he needed someone to "stand by the train" and drop him soliloquies of poetry about their affection. And this dumb Apology Tour was just Blitzs desperate poetry. They just don't speak the same language. Me, I speak indirect and stupid, but I also speak rational and direct. . So I feel for both. But, Blitz gets my sympathy more because...he can't do better. Apology Tour has a moment that finally makes Stolas’ dumb ass attempt here make sense - when trying to explain what he wants, Stolas doesn’t describe real life at all. He describes a romantic comedy. His whole set up and speech in the bedroom - and expecting Blitzø to immediately say A THOUSAND TIMES YES! and fall into his arms just shows more romcom thinking.
Because that’s literally the only way he found to get close to blitz, he thought that maybe blitz would fall in love with him with it and he hurt himself in the process, i mean, you can’t blame the guy for trying to make it happen with the only thing the other guy like besides killing.

He took his crown off when confessing his feelings as a "look how equal we are" gesture but it was still held by him, in front of Blitzos face and between them. And after Blitzo doesn't give him the answer he was hoping for, Stolas just puts it back on, stands tall towering over Blitzo and leaves. Symbolic but also just another instance of Stolas not realizing what he was even doing and how it looks like from other perspective than his own.
Nooooo you don't understand, Stolas is always wrong even when he gives him the crystal! Blitz is always right even we he lies and leads Stolas on and lies and takes him to dates like an asshole
@@iceluvndiva21 what's sad is that the second Blitz isn't avoiding him and attempting to directly confront them on their relationship dynamic, that's when Stolas shuts him out. It isn't that Blitz needs to listen to Stolas. They need to listen to each other and not talk past one another. Blitz has made things very clear to Stolas, or at least has attempted to. He doesn't appreciate the pet names or the way Stolas fetishizes him as a "little impish plaything" and has made those things very clear, but they kept getting ignored. It's no surprise Blitz thought all of this was just about transactional situation
Something else that I noticed that Noone talked about: from blitz's view receiving the crystal and having the book being taken away from him probably made it look like he was being sold to asmodeous. At first I wouldn't put much stock in it but especially since he was recently hired by him to protect Fizz and how their relationship is getting better, Blitz can totally see himself being bought by asmodeous. "Yeah have your business, but you're also my personal bodyguard when I call" type thing.
That's a good point, blitz is slow to process information so he was probably stuck on the ramifications of what the crystal means while stilas was already 50 steps ahead and concluded blitz didn't want to be in the relationship.
@@moviemaker2011z that's exactly what I was thinking!! Glad you're better at words than I am. I had to write an essay just to try to figure out what exactly my thought was.
This makes a lot of sense. Since Blitz sees this relationship as purely transactional, the change from reporting to Stolas once per month in exchange for use of the grimoire to being bound to Asmodeus via the crystal probably just seemed like another transaction.
I think he saw it more as Stolas ending their deal and discarding him, as in "I got bored of you, I don't need you anymore", which didn't help with his inferiority complex
Stolas: "why is it always about sex with you?!" My brother in christ, you decided that was one of terms in the relationship, it was a deliberate choice you made

One word: THERAPY Also I don’t have NEARLY as much trauma as Blitz, but if my husband approached me on date night with the same tone as Stolas, all my alarm bells would be ringing
@@iammemys2213that’s a terrible misrepresentation of the situation. You’re refusing to acknowledge Blitzø’s perspective of the situation, Stolas blindsided him with all of this got upset when he didn’t react as he expected him to then left dismissively before Blitzø could even process the situation.
Stolas and Blitzø both fucked up here. This is the closest they've gotten to talking about their feelings, but they're still not really listening to each other or seeing the other's perspective. Blitzø refuses to believe Stolas could actually love him, and Stolas has yet to fully apologize for making Blitzø feel used.
And how can you blame him after everything Stolas did to him. Like, the man literally tried to run away when Ozzie called him out and pretended everything was fine afterwards without apologizing to him.
@@BLAZE_EDTIZsorry, but you're saying that as if Blitz didn't deliberately took advantage of him there to get into Ozzie's to stalk M&M when they told him not to, and then explicitly drew the attention of one of the owners who hates him to him and Stolas when they were literally roasting Moxxie for singing a love song in a Sex club. Blitz put Stolas in that position to be publicly called out for cheating on his wife with him. Yes, Stolas reacted badly, but there is no way you're arguing here that Blitz did nothing wrong in Ozzie's.
This is the correct take. They have both have to realize their own faults and realize they are just as responsible for fucking this relationship up as the other person is.
If I’ve been in a fwb situation for months and had never had the inkling of a romantic interest I don’t think it’s hard to believe especially with blitzo that her think he was getting pranked or doing some roleplay The nail in the coffin for stolas was deciding to do this on their hookup night
As someone who just got out of an abusive relationship where my entire livelihood and living situation hinged on staying with my GF, the full moon episode really made me sympathize with Blitzø. All to often my GF would "try to have a talk" only to dismiss my feelings and shut me away whenever my feelings weren't exactly what she wanted to hear. It always made me so upset, and just like Blitzø, at the end of our relationship I couldn't take being treated like my input didn't matter anymore and also engaged in a shouting match with her. Am I proud of it? No. But I can't really blame Blitzø for the same thing when it really is a hard situation to love someone who has absolute control over you and only ever seems to care about their fantasies of what your relationship is.
@noefernandez1697 Correct, he did stop. Still doesn't change the fact that he did it for long enough for Blitzø to develop a purely transactional mindset about their relationship. Not saying Stolas is evil, he's just a little bird brained. At the same time tho, his actions did have an effect on Blitzø's mindset.
Stolas chose the sex night, after learning that Blitzo views the entire relationship as fulfilling Stolas' sexual desires. Then gives him no chance to process.
As someone who's had to rely on anxiety meds: Missing a day absolutely messes with your emotions, but it doesn't change your personality. I read him being out of meds as a potential explanation for how badly he approached the initial conversation. If he was in a better state of mind he might have framed it more positively (ie "Do you have my book Blitz? I need it back, because I have a surprise for you"). But again, as a sheltered kid with social anxiety, the emotions I read in that scene is that he was so afraid of rejection that he was feeling it already, and so was treating Blitz as if he'd already rejected him, so instead of his speech being the opening to a conversation it felt to Stolas like a final appeal. Beautiful depiction of the kind of distorted thinking that anxiety causes IMO
As a person who Still struggles with social awkwardness and its consequences for my dearest people It hits So close to home 😢 I could say Stolas has ASD and Blitzø has BPD
@@NonaMoreauI felt like Stolas a little cooled off after s2ep4 to Blitz I mean He Said to Asmodeus that he felt that his feelings to Blitz weren't Mutual. So Yes He was Ready to Rejection. But unfortunately This time Blitz WANTED TO STAY
The way Stolas started the conversation was the equivalent of someone saying “We need to talk…” which could send anyone into a mental frenzy. Yes, in the moments between Stolas not reacting to Blitz’s sex toy haul and Stolas giving him the Asmodean crystal, Blitz felt his whole world collapse. In his mind, he blew the whole deal by electing to not meet up with Stolas long enough to cause Stolas to lose interest in the deal and him. Then Stolas gives his whole speech… AFTER causing Blitz to have a damn melt down… that’s like tricking your partner into thinking you are about to break up with them and then immediately proposing. It’s fucking confusing, especially to someone like Blitz.
Even still, a meltdown isn't an excuse to behave like that. If you broke up with a man and he started stalking after you, raging and screaming and slamming doors, that'd be a damn horror story you'd tell you friends years later _if you survived_ . Not that Blitz would (or maybe even could) hurt Stolas, but far too many women, and more than a few men, have been in exactly that kind of situation
@@newsystembad No. You’re right. Blitz went too far and said horrible things that hurt Stolas deeply. This is the whole issue between both of them. Both of their individual, unresolved issues have caused both of them to hurt each other on multiple occasions. Stolas fell so madly, deeply in love with Blitz despite there being a crap ton of baggage he knows little to nothing about. In fact, the only times they even see each other are on their full moon rendezvous and the occasional rescue mission. There are no conversations between the two of them where either make themselves fully vulnerable that we have seen.
@@newsystembad Comparing this to IRL relationships and then making it a "oh no women" situation is pathetic, especially when Stolas has ABSOLUTELY EVERY BIT OF POWER and is very clearly the main one in the wrong.
YES!!!! That’s what I’m saying!! In this relationship; Stolas is the ones who holds all the power, all the marbles, all the cards, you name it. You can’t compare it to a normal relationship with a Man and a Woman; ex; ‘man chases woman and screams and slams doors while stalking her!’ NO!!! You can’t compare it because Stolas is literally a billionaire; a fucking ROYAL. Imagine how terrifying it’d be for Blitz to deal with that whole situation, knowing that with a single move Stolas could kill him and not suffer any consequence?? The power imbalance will never have Blitz be in It’s favor, why? Because he’s an Imp. In hell; he’s not seen as a person!! Once again, if Stolas EVER even WANTED TO just a LITTLE!!! He could do whatever he wanted to Blitz! Can you even begin to think of how much terror that’d cause if you were in a relationship with that BIG of a power gap??! NO!! Because you CANT apply their relationship to anything you’d see in real life; i mean maybe you could apply it to like, a person and a plant, having that if you kill it you have no consequences. Just having to deal with that would be an absolute NIGHTMARE!!
@@newsystembadi mean in that situation , blitz isnt a person with the power to instill actual fear of death or injury into stolas as he’s screaming at him . he’s basically like a chihuahua in terms of actual power , you cant compare that to an irl relationship lol

He definitely messed up. A lot. Repeatedly. This breakup was the only possible ending since this relationship started with a contract. Because these two dumb-dums need to go through personal growth, separate from each other, if there is gonna be a chance they can make it work.
Yes! It's not just him or Blitzø, they BOTH fucked up and need time apart to tie up their own loose ends and grow as people. Stolas ESPECIALLY needs to get his situation with his wife sorted out. Sir, she is ACTIVELY TRYING TO KILL YOU. Your daughter could be in danger! >:/

I think the scene in S1 E1 is also an example of what I saw a therapist bring up when she reviewed Full Moon. Stolas has an anxious attachment style where he kinda wants answers on things fast while also processing his feelings fast as well, which is good in some cases where it is better to move on quickly, but when it is something like this it is kinda not a good thing because he moves on a bit too fast before Blitzø can actually process what just happened. This is more because Blitzø has an avoidant attachment style and needs a bit more nudging and time to actually understand what is going on and how he feels about it. I think this is also partially what leads to this communication breakdown because while Stolas is fully content with moving on because he "has his answer," Blitzø is still trying to process the fact that Stolas' feelings were serious WHILE chasing him down to further explain himself. Stolas is just unaware of how Blitzø processes information and his feelings as well as Blitzø being overwhelmed with how fast Stolas does the same. I actually kinda like the fact that Vivzie and her team are doing this with them where they show how terrible communication can ruin a relationship. Like you think with Moxie and Millie, they both communicate pretty well with each other and the one time they don't, Millie is eventually able to place the pieces together that he isn't saying something and they work through it. They have a good relationship since they are able to communicate what they need and what they want. Stolas doesn't do that with Blitzø clearly enough and I think Blitzø is too mentally scarred at this moment to actually know what he wants from Stolas (like if he wants something more or just the sex and book). I like the fact that we are being shown a dysfunctional relationship over one that just works out for the sake of shipping
Well put, I’ve seen the video as well and this comment does a good job at explaining that. I really does add another layer as to just how doomed this conversation was. Like it was always going to go down poorly given how Stolas and Blitzø’s brains work.
I honestly want them to break up, and both find the right person. Sometimes, just because someone "woke you up" doesn't mean they are actually the one for you.
The best explanation in my opinion is that he is just in his own world. He knows WHAT he did wrong, but he doesn't quite realize WHY it was wrong. He is a sheltered child, surrounded by books that were probably his only escape. He's a drama queen, and combining that with his terrible social skills, you have a terrible combination. Not only he did the gesture with the crystal because he was nervous, but mainly because it's very dramatic. Would it be a fairy tale or a theater play, it'd work, and the characters would react appropriately for the drama. The build up to the crystal reveal is so gut wrenching "what's gonna happen, is he seriously taking it away? GASP! It's a twist and it's a good reveal" it works, but sadly people don't work like that. But in Stolas's head, that's what he thinks is right.
Stolas should have done this on any other day than the one scheduled for sex. He should have started the conversation with the crystal before asking for the book back. He could have done a lot better but it still hurts cause this is his first real relationship and he's going in pretty blind
@christopherbennett5858 Stolas hasn't canceled. He gave Blitz the choice to come over or not and Blitz took them. In his own, awkward way, Stolas was trying to give Blitz more freedom but this allowed them to avoid each other and not talk about anything.
@@lauraportillo7575 Fair. Honestly, the two feed into each other’s worst habits. Of course they’d take the easy option for months on end if it means they can pretend things are okay. Especially on Blitz’s end.
@@christopherbennett5858 For real. I love then both to bits and I want them to be happy but they got serious issues they need to work on independently of each other.
Not to mention he had no REAL parental figure. We don't know where the hell Stolas's mother is and his dad refers to him as "the owl boy". Something tells me he was not very present. And his only examples of romance were from fucking soap operas.. and we all know how wonderful those turn out! :D I'm not saying what he's done is okay but when you think about where he's coming from... I don't see how he could have been any different...
I agree with your take of Stolas’s breakdown coming from his worldview of their relationship breaking down. Blitz has called him a "pompous rich asshole" before, but never to his face. Stolas, hearing this for the first time, has his heart broken as he never saw Blitz as a lowly plebian or street urchin. Knowing that Blitz saw him this way is what broke him. However, I think there's some truth to this mirroring Stella’s actions around Stolas. I think he tunes out everything after "pompous rich asshole" as the rest of what Blitz said was a deep and complicated version of, "skip the speeches and let's TALK about it."
I know right? Like yeah, we know that Blitz wouldn't actually try to physically harm Stolas, but if I was in that situation and the other person started running after me while yelling and slamming open doors, I would also be VERY uncomfortable. I don't imagine that Stolas thought he was in any actual danger, but it is quite scary having someone yell at you, especially when you don't expect it.
@bluebird1914 Oh, I don't think he did either. He knows Blitz wouldn't physically hurt him, but he doesn't seem to answer to such high negative tones well unless he's engaged in it. It was less of an engaged argument and more of Bliyz yelling at him like Stella does. Stolas only heard the parts that he took as Blitz saw him in a negative light and figured there was no way for him to lose that view of him. At least, that's my take on it. I mean, if someone shouted an obscene comment at me and then went on a rant, I might’ve only heard to comment and, in the end, I might react similarly to how Stolas did. I'd disengage from the conversation and get away from what I would interpret as poison in my ear. One thing I definitely understand is Stolas’s idealation of a relationship with Blitz. In a relationship, or one you want to develop with someone, you want you and that person to be on the same page in many ways. One of those ways is how you see each other. Knowing that Stolas holds Blitz in high regard but now believes from Blitz’s comment that Blitz holds him in very low regards, I can definitely understand the heartache one would feel from that. The sad thing is that the more I watch the show, I see very weird parallels to my own love life. It's not 1v1 and there's major differences (like we don't have such animosity toward each other that we see with them in Full Moon and we've never had sex or used each other for a benefit), but I see the similarities in both of us between Stolas and Blitz and it makes me feel both weird and sad.
@wordsmith6154 as someone's who's been the Blitz in the situation I can tell you the yelling usually comes after a string of smaller requests that just get ignored. Blitz and Stolas have tons of interactions where Blitz has said (as calmly as he can) that he doesn't like something Stolas is doing. Calling him "blitzy" in front of people. Trying to flirt with him in an inappropriate situation. Add that to the very real power difference the two have, where Blitz doesn't feel like he has equal power to further tell Stolas he doesn't like something after the first time it gets ignored. At some point, you break and you yell because you don't feel like you're going to be heard any other way. All I wanted when I was in Blitz's situation was for the other person to just listen and say "I'm sorry you felt that way."
@@Vannabee13 completely off topic but "I'm sorry you felt that way" is not a real apology. rather, the other person should be saying, "I'm sorry that I made you feel that way, I'll do better going forward". don't settle for less than what you deserve!

29:20 can we also talk about how when Stolas doesn't want to talk to Blitz he can teleport him outside of the house with magic without Blitz even realizing what happend until he's outside. That's how imbalanced the power dinamic between the two is, if Stolas wanted to hurt Blitz, Blitz is done for. Meanwhile when Blitz doesn't want to talk to Stolas, even with very good reasons (the hillbillies literally following him with a shotgun, not that he needs a reason anyway to be busy), Stolas outright ignores that and instead goes on talking about his day while the other is literally fighting for his life. If Stolas wanted to keep Blitz a prisoner, he could do that with a flick of his finger, and Blitz could never escape him unless it was by Stolas' own choice.
It sort of was pointed out here. And I pointed that out as well. And the fact of the matter that gets glossed over is so infuriating. When I said there was a power imbalance and that the Imps were on the bottom of the totem pole, I wasn't kidding. Seriously, I'm hoping in later seasons the Imps get some upgrades to defend themselves considering...

Honestly, I doubt the writers will make Stolas realize his mistakes. The writers have been cuddling Stolas this entire season, and if the shown in the trailer is anything to go by, the writers will probably throw all the blame on Blitzo.
I don't know, based on some leak animatics this season and probably parts of the next season are going to be stolas's break down and build back up arc. No spoilers, but...sinmas looks like it is going to huuuurt😢
I genuinely hate how Blitz had to beg and cry before Stolas actually explained what he meant by taking the book away permanently. It's all the worse when he mentions him wanting Blitz to continue his business, demonstrating how he's completely aware of just how important his job is to him and still phrased that as though he was threathening his position in it. It was such a wrong power move that completely showed just how much control Stolas had over Blitz. It's heartbreaking, mean and cruel. Of course Blitz would feel like he's being toyed with. Even when they went out once, it was beacause Blitz invited Stolas, not the other way around. Blitz doesn't know to expect anything else from Stolas because he isn't really known to pull those sorts of casual things. You don't ever see Stolas inviting Blitz out to lunch or for a coffee, they only talk when related to the deal and the deal revolves solely around sex, thus that's what Blitz sees interests him. Not to mention Stolas being cryptid kicked the conversation off to an awful start where Blitz was already manipulated into being vulnerable instead of chosing to be like that for himself. Blitz obviously got on the defensive, he didn't want to get hurt after leaving himself bare and exposed like that. Plus, the reality of the situation was so far off from what he expected that he was caught unawares, he didn't know how to react, but he was most certain Stolas was bored of him from how it seemed like he was trying to dismiss him or avoid him. The thought of ending the deal hurt Blitz, not just because of the book, but because he felt unwanted and, quite possibly, belittled. The fact that Stolas pulled some strings that, as an imp, the other lacks to get him the Asmodean crystal and how Stolas was the one to break the contract just like that without a word in edgeways from Blitz implies that they were never equals or business partners, Stolas had just been toying with him. Blitz already knew that, or at least we know he wanted to believe that, but to see it confirmed through that simple action, without anything to offer to the bird, he felt like nothing. If Stolas was no longer interested in Blitz there would be nothing he could do about it and he'd suddenly become worthless. To top it all off Stolas comes onto him strongly with this talk about him having genuine feelings for Blitz. Bitch, how's he supposed to know that? You haven't showed it properly, you just told him and wanted him to feel the same without putting any effort into swooning him whatsoever. He doesn't fully understand the power imbalance between the two of them (it's on a social level, an economical level, an educational level, etc), instead he victimises himself constantly during the whole conversation and doesn't grasp the fact that Blitz would see him as he is: a superior and a noble. I honestly could rant about these two dummies all day, but I think that's enough for now.
Exactly. Maybe Blitz inviting Stolas to the club shouldn't have happened, because he was tailing Moxie and Millie, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Stolas could have asked Blitz out. In fact, if Stolas really cared he should have been more proactive and asked Blitz out, but he doesn't. He expects Blitz to do everything for him. For a prince of Hell, he acts like a total princess
@@seeleunit2000calling him a princess is supposed to be an offense…? Stolas used blitz not really in the sex part which both enjoyed, but in having someone with him and not feel alone. Blitz didn’t even really wanted to be close to stolas, he didn’t show up for him when he was hurt, Stolas wasn’t the best and didn’t always acted the best but you can’t really blame one for acting the way they do based on BOTH their actions, plus, of course stolas was afraid of actually telling blitz how he really felt about him, blitz broke up with Verosika because she said i love you to him, knowing this, and based on literally every other relationship blitz had, it’s easy to get cold feet and to get he is (blitz) afraid of feelings
Full moon just shows how little Stolas ACTUALLY understands Blitz. Even in his music video “Look My Way”, his face is very visible and expressive, while Blitz has no face. He’s in love with his idea of Blitz, not Blitz himself
When Stolas went "didn't it tell you anything how eager I was to show you off?" In Apology Tour I literally went "HAH!" out loud, because that moment at Ozzy's is seared into my mind. Eager to show off their relationship? Dang, Stolas, you've lived in a straight up parallel universe this entire time haven't you? I really hope that they will literally slap some of those scenes in his face in an upcoming episode. He needs to realize that everything Blitzø threw at him was stuff he demonstrated for all and Sundry to see, legitimate pain fron thousands of little cuts he has given Blitzø over their time together. Blitzø was far from perfect, naturally. And to be fair, experiencing sincere and respectful affection from Stolas may have outright spooked him like a startled deer. But that doesn't mean Stolas' confession wouldn't have had a much better chance to at least ring true if it was more congruent with his actions prior.
Amen! I'm also hoping we get some moments where he realizes how he's contributed to their situation. Blitzo's definitely played a role, but I hope the show doesn't try to put it all on him.
@@ursaminor9780 I have a feeling right now they are focusing on where Blitz could improve, but it won't be until later episodes that they write Stolas in realizing his own hypocrisy. It kinda makes sense he wouldn't in this episode since he's drunk and at a party all dedicated to hating Blitz. Let's also not forget how when Blitz is telling a drunk Stolas that he didn't actually think a royal could love or care about an imp, and specifically care about him, Stolas focuses more on the "care about me" part of what Blitz says, which is a good start because his point to "these people all threw a party dedicated to hating you, the wouldn't do that if they didn't care about you" is 100% true. They do care about him and what he did even if for bad reasons. However, Stolas still didn't seem to pick up on the whole "royal caring for an imp" thing which still shows Stolas is unaware of the class dynamic.
@@charlottehonor7265 I would say yes, but unintentionally, because remember, Stolas has the issue of getting way too caught up in his feels and it makes him miss the reality of how his words and actions come across to others. He kinda does this with Octavia where he thinks he's having a good time with her at Loo Loo Land until she storms off and it's a rude awakening that he fucked up. I think though what Blitz said is still stinging for him and he's still caught up in his feels unable to see the reality of what Blitz said and how it is true
Stolas set up the paying for sex situation with Blitz from the beginning, called Blitz xenophobic pet names, and demeaned him in public. Stolas made Blitz his man servant because he is Goetia royalty and Blitz is a lower class demon. He bought Blitz when they were children. Now Stolas has discarded Blitz immediately after giving him the most manipulative ultimatum without warning. Stolas essentially gaslit Blitz and then played the victim. I'm sorry that Stolas can't deal with his bad actions that he has to shift blame to Blitz and then go to a Blitzo sl*tshaming party without real justification. Unlike with Verosika Mayday, Blitz never really hurt Stolas for real. This was Stolas' idea so Stolas is the one who has a lot to answer for in this situation.
I recommend Finn the Pony's recent video as well. He breaks the two down to their barest character flaws and shows how both of them dropped the ball in not only their falling out but how they've gone about things as a whole. It's really good!
@@christopherbennett5858 Yeah! I think he was sick for a week or two and had other stuff going on after his Digital Circus video. Not entirely sure but he's still around.
@@RavenStarMedia That’s nice for him. Especially since it feels like the Brony analysts kind of faded into the background for me aside from one or two.
Stolas is incredibly interesting to me because he's very obviously a product of being isolated; in high society and in his family. He is aware of there being social differences, but as you said, it doesn't feel like he understands what that actually means. Everything he does makes his entire character feel like a game, because throughout his interactions he's always had a safety net to fall back on, something of comfort. Even at his worst, he has things in place so he doesn't fall too far down. Nothing matters as much for him because he literally cannot feel the consequences and rawness of the varying situations. In a way, it's almost like a twisted sense of innocence. He can't relate or understand Blitz because he's never been in a position where he HAS to be there emotionally with someone on his level. Even Octavia and Stella are different because Stella was forced into this and holds little emotional connection to Stolas while Octavia is someone who intrinsically trusts him due to their relationship as father-daughter, and thus don't have big gaps of life where they never knew eachother. There's a familiarity and/or ability to simply walk away with almost everyone in his life that doesn't match up when he's with someone like Blitz. The relationship is mutual, and Stolas has never had to negotiate and figure things out with someone who's only with him for him, and this can be really interesting if done right.
At days end Stolas is a sheltered, awkward, oblivious wealthy man who no idea how to manage his relationships & never feels the full effects of his actions when things go to hell. Because he has his money and status to fall back on.
No you can't say he has much to fall back on. He doesn't have anyone close to him besides Octavia and Blitz. He has no friends, he has no other family. At the very least Blitz has a caring family.
@@infinityquartz4744 I think the problem is that that's all Stolas's fault. Why can't he find someone else as a friend? (See: Asmodeus) Why can't he have secured himself an emotional safety net? Because Stolas doesn't do the work. Despite everything, Stella has ALL of that. She clearly has friends in the upper-echelon, she clearly sets things up for herself, and even as a B**** of a person she clearly still spends time with her daughter where SHE'S important. Stolas, by all metrics, sucks as a person and doesn't do anything to fix that. It's the tragic irony that his issues are mostly self-inflicted save for his wife & father.
I would have loved if the Cherub plotline highlighted the issues/a worse alternate version of stolitz! Like if it was clear throughout that Collin always wanted to leave, but is constantly pressured to stick with the other 2 just to survive even though they use him! Maybe even the upgrade from DHORKS serving as a parallel to Stolas' wealth and resources that Blitz was dependent on. Like stolas trying but failing to effectively end the unfair dynamic he started, vs an example of people leveraging that!!!
But without the book - access to which depends on stolas, he's out of his job, subsequently out of his home, subsequently M+M also loose their job, and loona goes homeless with bliz. So yeah, Blizo highly depends on stolas... and he knows everyone he cares about depends on his connection to stolass too. @@modkip25

@@bumblebeeproductions1673 I think cuz we see the consequences of her actions before her perspective. Whereas it's the opposite with Stolas, we see and empathize with his emotions/perspective and then cringe in sympathy when he fucks up
I just can't shake the feeling that Stolas is just not the same character he was at the start of the show, and it's not from character development ot anything like that, they just started writing him different. I can't blame the fandom for treating him like a baby when the show does the same, they did that one flashback episode and then forgot to write him as a full grown demon prince, instead of a naive little softboi that don't know no better about coercing someone into sex
It really isn't character developmen, its just a retcon, he went from a cunning, menacing guy with some nuance like his relationship with his daughter to a "naive uwu romantic guy" who can do no wrong. It just so weird because the story doesn't even seen to acknowledge what he did on the past, only the messed up things that Blizo did are acknowledged
@@a_naotenhonome780i do hope they have an episode planned about stolas realising the ways he also fucked up, somehow... it would be nice to see him take accountability and have to really think over everything he did to blitz. you never can tell with hb, tho :P
Stolas’s view on Blitzø (and his social status in general) can be compared to the “I don’t see color” argument for race equality. By seeing Blitzø as his equal, he ignores the systemic power imbalance their society is built upon, just as saying “I don’t see color”, while hypothetically evening the playing field, fails to acknowledge the difference in privilege between races. In order for Stolas to truly understand Blitzø, he needs to acknowledge the world they live in and the power he holds.
You're totally right. People often say that because they don't want to offend or because they think it will make it better, but in order for us to address discriminatory oppression, we need to acknowledge difference. We all have different skin tones and that's ok, the problem comes with the way people treat others with certain tones, not the skin tones themselves. Same thing here. The problem isn't blitz's lower status, the problem is the hardships and systemic oppression that come with that status. Ignoring it or being blind to it won't make it go away.
I feel like what the Helluva Boss community’s been doing with picking sides is wrong, since I believe that both sides are in the wrong and that they shouldn’t be fought for either way (although I will acknowledge that, judging by the trailer, the writers will side with Stolas in all of this despite them both being in the wrong) See, I believe that the core issue that both Stolas and Blitzo runs into is how they jump to conclusions- in this scene at the end of Full Moon, Blitzo jumps to the conclusion that Stolas doesn’t actually love him because of how much he hates himself (which leads him into doing the mocking love thing, which breaks Stolas’ hope for reciprocation) and then jumps to the conclusion that Stolas is only using him and only likes the idea of him, leading him to scream and yell at Stolas…and then on Stolas’ side, he jumps to the conclusion that Blitzo just doesn’t love him back and begins to zone him out (he’s probably used to doing that because of Stella), which makes him start to act as the victim in this scenario and he teleports Blitzo away instead of just communicating with him honestly and clearly That’s why I think that picking sides is just a murky slope that force both sides to push and push against one another with points until they get tired out since each side (in my opinion) is equally in the wrong (Blitzo has been treating Stolas pretty awfully throughout this show because of his strong self-hatred, which leads him to dismiss and avoid and push back Stolas…meanwhile, Stolas’ sexual flirtations to match with Blitzo’s intensity on their first night together really did come out as just condescending belittlement for Blitzo, it’s it not helping that Stolas’ people pleasing and awkward nature making him hold equal amounts of terrible communication skills as Blitzo) TL;DR: I don’t think the community (and the writers) should take sides here when BOTH Blitzo and Stolas are in the wrong
Apology tour is gonna be amazing with this. Verosika ain't there for nothing, another character who was emotionally hurt by Blitz but isn't 100% innocent
Honestly not sure if communication was even an option at that point considering all the trauma responses and him looking like he was about to completely break down. The fact that Stolas waited to teleport him away until that point is probably indicative that he was not capable of carrying any kind of real conversation at that point.
A small detail that shows that Stolas doesn't really consider other people's feelings very well (aside from this whole situation is because of him not being able to read the room and see Blitzø 's obvious standoffish, objecting behavior as unhappiness) is during that one scene, post coitus with Blitzø where he's talking about the Harvest Moon festival. THIS MAN STRAIGHT UP PUTS OUT A CIGARETTE ON BLITZø'S HORN (which a REAL thing abusive smokers sometimes do to their victims' skin). Even if it didn't seem to hurt Blitzø, Stolas is not an imp, and I doubt he's done enough research into imp physiology to know that it wouldn't hurt. It's just something he _did_ very casually due to being way too comfortable with Blitzø, without considering the potential consequences of it.
its pretty obvious that, throughout all these episodes, Stolas unconsciously made Blitzø feel like a toy or a just a "plaything". Sure, stolas now changed, but he had to actively tell him that in that epsiode. Because from blitzø's side, he just got a s3xual arrangement that he depends on to continue his career (very important to him) and suddenly he gets nice messages from him. And we already SAW that he doesn't understand them when he talked to fizz. And we also saw how important their class differences are; "all rich people/royals dont give a sh1t about guys like us, theyre all the same" and now him saying it again during their fight. Blitzø is getting so many mixed signals from this. Especially since stolas had this talk on the full moon, where blitzø FULLY expected them to just have s3x. So yes, Stolas did make him feel like he's breaking up with him, even if it was just for a short moment. When stolas rejected blitzø and told him he "made up his mind", we can already see how scared he was, that this arrangement will be over, that his career is threatened. He didn't just say that for fun. ("i need this book, I will do anything.) Then when stolas told him he no longer had any obligation to see or "bed" him now, we can see through blitzø once again. He and stolas, their whole relationship was tied to this book, without it they (like stolas said) would no longer be obligated to meet. Or rather - like stolas phrased it - BLITZØ was no longer obligated to see him, which he thought implies that stolas didn't want to see him anymore. Going through the hassle of getting him a crystal and then basically saying "they finally aren't forced to stay together" ?? Yeah, I would get mad too. Stolas then starts to clear it up a bit, saying he "cared and found the situation unfair". But that wasn't enough. He did not say why he feels that way, he implied it, he was being so very vague. It wasn't enough communication. Because again, blitzø did not connect those "nice talks and messages" to stolas liking him. Which is why he assumed he wasn't serious. But AS SOON as he understood, he talked seriously, he asked for a minute to think everything through, but then stolas walked away already. And I'd like to address their class difference again. For stolas, blitzø was TOO good. He was his saviour, his love, he was unconsciously painting him too much as a hero. But for blitzø, stolas is a rich, privileged "asshole" (as he put it in the end) who basically has an imp f3tish and doesn't see him whole. Their talk was doomed from the start. They BOTH don't see each other whole. Because they've never TALKED. They don't KNOW each other beyond their k1nks. I don't blame stolas for leaving. But I also don't exactly blame blitzø for yelling, even if it wasn't right. But stolas put an end to this with "you don't have to say anything, I have my answer", basically dismissing blitzø completely and thus, making him feel smaller and "not as important". Which is why he immediately jumped to their classes, like "oh, im just am imp, hells lowest creature and you're a privileged prince". (Like in Oops, when he said that stolas just "loves feeling the thrill of getting d1cked by the lower class. Its a novelty to him". He doesn't see how a royal could love an imp.) I NEED others to see how vague and dismissive stolas was being in this episode. See how blitzø's class and the deal has an impact on his personality. This isn't really me blaming stolas. This is about why they reacted the way they did (because stolas definitely has his reasons too, like flinching when blitzø yelled at him or not having his happy pills that day). BOTH are toxic if anything. BOTH need to talk. BOTH have trauma. (but still, for me, stolas has to apologise first. And then blitzø. And then they must have a long talk, that's way overdue.)
Your analysis made me cry and I need to go rewatch the episode. I relate heavily to stolas and I keep watching all these analysis videos to try to grow 😅
@@Flippyfroggy oh noo, im so sorry hajdjsj i actually relate to both of them a lotttt, and seeing it on screen really made me see how other people might view me, so that was a shocker- But it's nice that you want to go past that, thats the first step :>
Another thing that shows Stolas’ “I’ll give him a choice” was not what happened is him putting the crystal on Blitz. He didn’t ask, he didn’t give him the crystal so he could choose, he forced Blitz’s ‘freedom’ which even if Blitz would’ve taken is still not letting Blitz choose. (And it’s possible the crystal wouldn’t change much because it’s still from Stolas to Blitz; if Blitz upsets Stolas, it’s entirely possible Stolas could take it or have Oz take it back).
This is a great point! I didn't think about this at all! He didn't ask if Blitz wanted the Asmodean crystal or to change/end their agreement. He basically etched it onto him and said "Our deal is done. I like you, do you want to be in a relationship?" From that point of view, I have a much better understanding of why Blitz reacted the way he did, and why Stolas' impatience set him off.
Maybe he is that way because he's always been forced to do stuff he doesn't want to himself. Like how he got forcefully married to Stella by his dad. He really doesn't know how to give people the choice because he was never given the choice himself and that's really sad honestly. I really hope Blitz and Stolas can sort things out.
i mean, stolas realized the "contract" was entirely a bad thing so weather blitz would have wanted to end it or not I don't think is a very good argument. it HAS to end no matter what. its like asking a drowning person if the want to be rescued, no you don't wait for their response, u resue that idiot.
@noefernandez1697 there’s no time limit with these two though. Stolas could’ve waited for Blitz to understand or hell even just ask “may I?” while going to put it on and waiting for Blitz’s response. Then if Blitz recoils and the events go down as they did Stolas could throw Blitz out with the crystal in the box. Then it’s still Blitz’ choice whether he wants the crystal. Instead it was “I have made it so you don’t need me so please choose me” and treated as if it was deadly urgent.
THANK YOU!! Me and my husband have been saying this since the episode released. Everyone's mad at Blitz for shouting - but I would have blown up too after everything Stolas did wrong. My husband watched the episode and went on full on rants about how mad at Stolas he was. Especially with Stolas claiming Blitz should make a choice, then making a choice for Blitz. That was the most aggravating scene with how two-faced Stolas was being. My biggest point being the "Let's Go" that Blitz shout. He is declaring - Let's Go, Let's do this, lets get all of our emotions out on the table right now. Let's talk about this. Let's say everything on our hearts and fully figure this shit out right now. And Stolas throws him out the door instead of doing ANY of that. It was Infuriating to watch!
Thank you ! That's what I've been saying. They both screwed up, yet in this episode Stolas holds more of the blame. It's just like what is video essay pointed out. The real question is why can't a fandom take a hint and figure that out ?
This quote actually works so well with how hell was created in the helluva boss/hazbin hotel world, lucifer tried to do good too much which caused him to F up and get cast away which led to hell being created
Watching stolas repeatedly backpedalling is like watching someone with their shoelaces tied together fall on their face, stand up, and then immediately try walking again without untying the laces. Also, another alternative is how blitz is bringing a giant bag up through the window filled with stuff he bought himself for stolas rather than the stuff that stolas was tricked into helping blitz steal for his shitty dad.
Even if Stolas did EVERYTHING right, the outcome would've been the same. Genuine positivity is so outside of Blitz's experience and world view that he just auto rejects it. His first reaction to the crystal was ALWAYS going to be either "you're getting rid of me" or "what's in it for you?" Because he's not just an idiot - he's a stubborn idiot.
Stolas is an idiot for not even noticing or pointing out that Blitz crying in the first 30 seconds of their meeting. Also no, it's not if Stolas did "everything right", Blitz is not a prize for Stolas to win. They've hurt each other, but the deal STOLAS made was nasty, if Blitz was a girl not even half the fandom would support it, or undermine the power imbalance as much as they typically do. I love this ship because they genuinely love each other and are the boyfriends they desperately want and need, but Stolas had to have gone through with all of this differently. He didn't give Blitz any time to think about it before making him panic by walking out on him. Like c'mon, Mr. Pushes Everyone Away was chasing after him and didn't start yelling until he continued to dismiss Blitz. His reaction would've started out similar, but it was up to Stolas to clarify things and change the outcome of the night by how he treated Blitz, not by throwing him out the palace like Blitz warned Stolas of.
What they needed, what they TRULY needed... Was to sit down, eye to eye, cut the bullshit completely and for Blitz to say he feels there's a power imbalance and Stolas to say he really does love Blitz and doesn’t just see this as transactional, and was just playing into it because he has no romantic experience.
That would have been the sensible thing to do. But considering the owl started a sex for services situation with a member of the lowest cast of hell and has absolutely zero ability to think beyond what effects himself, yeah we weren't getting that.
The bit where he mentions Stolas possibly being autistic actually makes a good deal of sense. It explains his awkward/bad jokes, taking things to literally, and his horrific communication skills; as well as his passivity in trying to manage the conflict in their relationship. It also explains his rejection sensitivity with Blitz. And given he never had a great shot at learning social cues and how to interact with others, let alone a partner, to begin with…yeah it comes down to him thinking he has said exactly what needs to be said and that very much not being the case. It also explains his misunderstanding of their roles in the relationship. He’s trying to play a role that doesn’t exist in Blitz’s mind; but does in his because he thinks this is how Blitz likes the “relationship” based off the “cues” he got the second time they met at his house.
As someone with autism, I can see it. I'm like Stolas, but over the years, I have developed a deep, sometimes too deep, sense of self awareness though therapy and a lot of reflection to fight my blindness. I remember in the beginning being confused by Blitz's aversion to the exchange as he had seemed to respond positively at times. I only understood it all when we were shown what he actually thinks and feels with no room for ambiguity.
@@dio_hoestar_4204 same here, except I have only recently been diagnosed. And without therapy, it’s been a pretty wild ride to this point. So in my mind Stolas probably thinks all this behavior is him de-masking/being himself and taking everyone at their word when in reality he is missing everything they are saying and this behavior is actually bad and not socially acceptable; he just doesn’t get it.
I guess I'll throw in here and say, both as an autistic person and as someone who has definitely been the Stolas in this conversation, I find the casual throwing of autism into this conversation to be super irresponsible. Like if he wants to make an argument for it, I'll listen, but it rankles me a lot that he just kinda threw it in there on top of this really big conversation about Stolas' privilege and character flaws. Almost everything that might be attributed to autism is better explained by Stolas' privilege and ignorance. And I kinda feel like it's insulting and reductive to autistic people to lump them together, especially if you're not going to dive in and say literally anything more about it. I dunno, as someone who feels like I'm constantly screaming GOOD GRIEF STOLAS ISN'T AN ANGEL at the rest of this fandom, I appreciated this video very much. But that part gets under my skin
@@VGwritesalotTHANK YOU!!!!! As an autistic person as well, it really bothered me that Sarcastic Chorus did that… being autistic isn’t a flaw, being an ass is! Hell, people with autism not being able to pick up social cues is - in my opinion - an overblown assumption made by neurotypicals… maybe not everyone with autism can tell those sorts of cues, but a whole hell of a lot of us can and I find it insulting to be reduced to a stereotype and, worse, an insult. I appreciate you putting it into words!!!
"Sympathetic doesn't mean right" That is a fact. When I heard Blitz screaming "Can I get a fucking minute to think after everything you put me through you pompous rich ***hole!" It was so satisfying because he was calling out Stolas's bullshit. Stolas might have sympathetic traits, but for all he has done he is hardly the victim in this situation.
I think Stolitz learning and growing, but NOT ending up together, could be a satisfying ending. I’d like to see them reach a place of peace and understanding with each other, and taking the lessons learned from their dysfunctional relationship to move on and be better, happier people.
Honestly, same. I think too much has happened between them for them to ever be romantic partners, but they still have a close enough bond to support each other as friends
Na they're totally gonna hook up. Back when we only had the S2 trailer (the old one with the Clown Bi***ch song) Brandon did talk about the two reflecting gay relationships when they become serious. The journey to the upgrade has to make it work though.
*The main thing I’m thinking was why did Stolas believe meeting on the full moon was a good idea when blitz and he himself knew that was usually there nightly session. He couldve chosen another day but instead it was that very full moon night*
I believe it was to make sure Blitzø would come. As the whole audience knows, Blitzø doesn’t like to talk about how he actually feels, and I feel Stolas wanted to make sure Blitzø would show up so they’d have that talk. Then everything went wrong and they’re both to blame. :)
I interpreted it as Stolas's slight disconnect from reality. He recognizes that giving Blitz the crystal is the right thing to do, but he probably still views it through a romantic lense, whereas Blitz doesn't have that luxury
@@jacktheomnithere2127 yeahhh… I watched the video after typing that. My bad. I honestly, by the video title, thought it was a Stolas hate video pinning ALL the blame on Stolas, so I just went to the comments till I read a comment that was blaming both of them, then actually watched the video after realizing that was basically what this video was.. 😅 My bad… I totally agree with him, it’s both their faults, but Stolas was the main screw up in The Full Moon episode.
Honestly I think Stolas was doomed either way. Stolas has tried to have Blitzo over and has tried to talk to him but again Blitzo dismissed it as Stolas being Stolas. I think that at this point Stolas was like I know from past experience s that Blitzo will shoot him down, but he does come over on the Full moon. Also Blitzo says in the song he has been avoiding Stolas questions. In all honesty it does not matter if Stolas gave the heads up with Blitzo since the man is avoident to deep and emotional conversations.
Listen, I know Stolas had a hard life involving his father, Paimon and his abusive wife, Stella and we should all feel sad for Stolas. But he's not that innocent either especially when he treated Blitz as a plaything since he's an imp and the fact they did a make out session during every full moon just for the Grimoire is kinda selfish even though Stolas just wanted attention. Plus what about Octavia?😬
He is like Bruce Wayne/Batman. Tragic, yes, but he definitely wasn't giving as bad of a hand as he likes to believe, especially compared to those around him.
As much as I adore this dumb owl princess dad. You're right on so much. Stolas not recognizing any but his perspective is a defining characteristic of his. He's ignorant of his status when it comes to his relationships to people, so long as it's somewhere Cares for. There's no doubt he cares for Blitz, but he's oblivious to the situation he's put everyone's favorite trauma dump in. Well said 👏
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! While they are both responsible for the mess that is their relationship overall, I have been getting frustrated with the amount of hand waving and excuses that Stolas has been getting. Being sympathetic and trying your best is not the same thing as doing no wrong. Just like yelling during an argument doesn’t automatically invalidate the feelings and experiences that you’re trying to convey.
If the tragedy of social errors and commiting to the bit continues, I imagine Stolas could straight up become a whole ass antagonist by like season 4. Going from "What kinda monster would that make me?" To "Fuck it, I have power and I will get what I want." I don't think that's the direction planned, but if it is it could be very interesting to watch.
I REALLY don't think that's going to be the play. Because from the jump the sheer power disparity will be a serious problem, hell to serves into the current one!
Originally a plot point but scrapped at the end. Stella was portrayed to be nasty throughout the series and I think she might be the final villain. (Maybe she would take advantage with the cherubs’ power and turn into a seraph) What I might want to see is Stolas losing his regal title and privileges and being exiled by his own clan; which gives him an opportunity to experience what the imps have been through.
As a person who is more into actions than any kind of emotional expressions, it didn't sit well with me that people were unconditionally backing Stolas when he completely derailed the entire day Blitz spent trying to find a way to make the night a good one for the both of them. That was a slap in the face that the very start, him not acknowledging any of that effort or even appearing happy to see Blitz, and it set the tone of the entire meeting. They've both definitely got issues, Stolas' are just harder to see because his are so passive aggressive and understated/usually wrapped in politer tone. I love Stolas to death but the dude really does not stop to consider the other person's perspective, lol. Love this video, thanks for saying it more thoroughly than I could. I still definitely ship it and am really looking forward to watching both of these characters grow and gain better relationships as a result, both with each other and the other people in their lives.
Agreed. I kinda felt like Stolas was gaslighting Blitzø, like he was the one who made it all about sex but then when Blitzø leans into the sexual nature of their relationship, Stolas gets upset saying he makes it all about sex. Like, what?

I said it last video, and I'll say it again - the single biggest thing that rubbed me the wrong way, and the reason I think Stolas is a massive hypocrite is simply that he knows just how much he fucked up at Ozzies, he knows just how much he wanted Blitz to give him a second chance, yet he immediately shut the door on Blitz, emotionally and literally, after he fumbled handling Stolas' confession. If Stolas had given Blitz even a second to process what was actually going on, which you can literally see him doing in that scene, then things almost certainly would've turned out for the better.
To be fair, Blitzø brought that on himself, and it also affected Stolas in return. Reminder that it was Blitzø who invited Stolas on the intention of using him to get in the club that night, and it was also Blitzø who decided to open his mouth despite knowing he's in front of the people whose bridges he burned exposing himself AND Stolas for ridicule.
@@emargaux That wasn't my point though - it's Stolas' POV of Ozzies that matters, and the show makes a big deal of telling us how much Stolas regrets what happened at Ozzies, and how much he wants Blitz to just give him a second chance. @@tiablue9106... Stolas didn't just do it one time. It's a habit of his. But the bottom line is both have their problems, and they both need to start working on themselves and being better. But, Stolas kicked off this whole thing so, he should not really be surprised and needs to learn to be better. Which I'm positive in later seasons it will be addressed
i mean vivienne made that so obvious i am baffled huge portion of fandom doesn't get it, she still makes stolas likeable, but she is clear about how flood character is , in scene with fridge it's obvious, that imp servant is there for a reason XD
I think his biggest mistake was how the meetup started. Instead of very coldly requesting the book permanently without explanation and immediately putting Blitz on edge, he should have opened with a positive statement.
Instead of: "Do you have my book?"
It should have been: "Actually blitz, i have a different idea for tonight. I have a gift for you."
He then could have gone over, getting the crystal, told him about it and done all the speech he had from there. Never even bring up the book in the first place other than stating that he won't need it anymore.
Then if Blitz goes into his foreplay bit afterwards like he did, he could still interrupt him like he did but instead of walking off, he could just simply say: "No, blitz, this isn't a foreplay, i'm being serious."
I think that the main issue with their relationship is that Stolis isn't clear with his intentions, leaving Blitz guessing and then Stolis takes it personally when Blitz guesses wrong.
Blitz: You deserve better than me
Stolas: * finds another guy pretty quickly *
Which is ironically exactly how it happens IRL when one partner [usually the woman] decides to "beat around the bush" instead of being direct and then gets angry when the other doesn't get it immediately.
For most guys, you NEED to be direct, you cannot beat around the bush or hesitate because men can, and will, assume the worse if things aren't clear.

He’s so oblivious to it
Yes because he is fucking prince, you expect king charles to behave like some random dude working in your local shop? Of course king charles have much more power than random poor lmao
This culminates in exactly how stolas solves the issue of their contract. To end their transactional relationship he gives blitzø away. He doesn't even think of it that way. Just casually drops that he's under a different demons jurisdiction now.
Sure it may have been the only way but certainly not great optics to make someone feel like an equal when you just give them away without even talking to them about it first.

Adding on to the reality of how Stolas treats his servant imps, it's easy to assume Blitz has been right there to witness that on multiple occasions. Blitz, an imp, seeing other imps treated like objects by Stolas would've reinforced his belief that he's nothing but a toy for him to use.

I actually loved how poorly this whole scene played out because the actions that led to the misunderstanding are completely in character for both Stolas and Blitz. They didn’t completely 180 a character to make artificial drama, they’re both flawed in their own ways and those quirks lead to a terrible situation.
I totally agree with you there. it was very obvious from the beginning of the episode that it was going to end that way. (still made me cry tho).
There's also the fact that right after Blitz complains about how hellspawn treat Imps worse because they're smaller and don't have magic
Stolas then takes him away with magic against his will
To me, the biggest alarm bell that made me sympathize with Blitz was the way Stolas requested his Grimoire back.

Stolas really failed to read the room when Blitz was begging for the book and trying to reassure him he can "do better".

I think it wasn't unexpected at all, actually. I think he knew it would go exactly like it did. His reaction was simply confirmation bias. He accepted defeat immediately
He knew this relationship was just sexual, and breaking their contract would only result in Blitzs mask coming off, which it did, as you said.
If Stolas just listened he's smart enough to understand.
Or maybe... he's more naive than I realized.

Exactly. He's a man with no dating experience and no experience beyond Palace affairs in Hell. That's the point.
stolas got mad at blitzø for it "just being about s3x" but he F*CKING MAKE IT ABOUT S3X
Exactly. That's exactly what went down.
Because that’s literally the only way he found to get close to blitz, he thought that maybe blitz would fall in love with him with it and he hurt himself in the process, i mean, you can’t blame the guy for trying to make it happen with the only thing the other guy like besides killing.
Stolas also worn his regalia to the meeting.
Stolas did the right things, but by Satan himself he did it in the wrong order and with alot of unnecessary miscommunication
Yep. But blitz definitely needs to stop avoiding him. He needs to actually sit down and listen to Stolas.
@@iceluvndiva21 Stolas wanted to be serious with Blitz since the end of "Ozzie's" but Blitz kept brushing him off,not wanting to deal with it

@iceluvndiva21 Stolas also need to let Blitzø express his feelings.
Yup, a rare imp owned business and Stolas essentially gave it Ozzie without asking
Stolas: "why is it always about sex with you?!"

True

Fr still want it 😂
The best explanation in my opinion is that he is just in his own world.
Especially since the reason Blitz and Stolas haven’t gotten together in months is because Stolas has called him several times to cancel.
@christopherbennett5858 Stolas hasn't canceled. He gave Blitz the choice to come over or not and Blitz took them. In his own, awkward way, Stolas was trying to give Blitz more freedom but this allowed them to avoid each other and not talk about anything.

I'm not saying what he's done is okay but when you think about where he's coming from...
Probably also that and trauma, he was physically flinching while he was being chased down by Blitz

Right? I admit, my reaction to blitzø’s outburst wasn’t fair. Stolas went about this the wrong way and people try to paint him as the victim, sorry stolas fans but you can’t argue with facts
I saw so many comments raving about how proud they were of Stolas for communicating 😭 I'm convinced this fandom doesn't know what healthy communication looks like.
Yeah they both are manipulating each other. They both are broken and in a toxic relationship with each other

You have the best takes on Stolitz. Many youtubers keep ignoring the clear story being told about class and race in hell and its frustrating.
I appreciate you recontextualizing the screaming scene at the end because as someone who experienced an abusive, screaming parent and had a father who let her mom Stella all over him, my contextually reading was quite different and i appreciate you pointing to the evidence in tbe show and not in a vacuum.
Thanks king! 👑
Most are younger fans that don't want to admit Stolas is a grown man who effs up.
Thank you.
Honestly, I doubt the writers will make Stolas realize his mistakes. The writers have been cuddling Stolas this entire season, and if the shown in the trailer is anything to go by, the writers will probably throw all the blame on Blitzo.
They already made him realize his mistakes tho
I don't know, based on some leak animatics this season and probably parts of the next season are going to be stolas's break down and build back up arc.

Na, Viv called both out.
You're absolutely right!
I mean the y both could have showed more interest in the other, you can’t put the blame only in stolas for him being a royal, there was a literal agreement from both parts, blitz was using stolas for his business they never were true business partners and he knew that from the begining and he was totally okay with it.
That's what I mentioned. The bird has his head up his feathery butt
It's pure gaslighting, right?
I agree with you, finally someone else seeing the negatives in BOTH Stolas and Blitz

Fr when I first watched the show that made me so uncomfortable.
YOU GET IT
No you can't say he has much to fall back on.
Yep, Stolas understands the class & race hierarchy in theory but not in the praxis.
Like stolas trying but failing to effectively end the unfair dynamic he started, vs an example of people leveraging that!!!
blitz wasn't depended on stolas, he only ever wanted the book, which he was never entilted to. 🤷
But without the book - access to which depends on stolas, he's out of his job, subsequently out of his home, subsequently M+M also loose their job, and loona goes homeless with bliz.

Finally. Literally every HB analyser is taking Stolas' side.
Exactly. In addition to developing better communication skills among other things.
@@seeleunit2000 absolutely
You're totally right. People often say that because they don't want to offend or because they think it will make it better, but in order for us to address discriminatory oppression, we need to acknowledge difference. We all have different skin tones and that's ok, the problem comes with the way people treat others with certain tones, not the skin tones themselves. Same thing here. The problem isn't blitz's lower status, the problem is the hardships and systemic oppression that come with that status. Ignoring it or being blind to it won't make it go away.
I 100% agree. Nice comparison.
This perfectly explains why I felt like Stolas' line was such bs, lmao
I feel like what the Helluva Boss community’s been doing with picking sides is wrong, since I believe that both sides are in the wrong and that they shouldn’t be fought for either way (although I will acknowledge that, judging by the trailer, the writers will side with Stolas in all of this despite them both being in the wrong)
See, I believe that the core issue that both Stolas and Blitzo runs into is how they jump to conclusions- in this scene at the end of Full Moon, Blitzo jumps to the conclusion that Stolas doesn’t actually love him because of how much he hates himself (which leads him into doing the mocking love thing, which breaks Stolas’ hope for reciprocation) and then jumps to the conclusion that Stolas is only using him and only likes the idea of him, leading him to scream and yell at Stolas…and then on Stolas’ side, he jumps to the conclusion that Blitzo just doesn’t love him back and begins to zone him out (he’s probably used to doing that because of Stella), which makes him start to act as the victim in this scenario and he teleports Blitzo away instead of just communicating with him honestly and clearly
That’s why I think that picking sides is just a murky slope that force both sides to push and push against one another with points until they get tired out since each side (in my opinion) is equally in the wrong (Blitzo has been treating Stolas pretty awfully throughout this show because of his strong self-hatred, which leads him to dismiss and avoid and push back Stolas…meanwhile, Stolas’ sexual flirtations to match with Blitzo’s intensity on their first night together really did come out as just condescending belittlement for Blitzo, it’s it not helping that Stolas’ people pleasing and awkward nature making him hold equal amounts of terrible communication skills as Blitzo)
TL;DR: I don’t think the community (and the writers) should take sides here when BOTH Blitzo and Stolas are in the wrong
Me, with a circular scar on my wrist:
That moment triggered me.
Exactly. The owl is a massive hypocrite
its pretty obvious that, throughout all these episodes, Stolas unconsciously made Blitzø feel like a toy or a just a "plaything".
("i need this book, I will do anything.)
Then when stolas told him he no longer had any obligation to see or "bed" him now, we can see through blitzø once again.
He doesn't see how a royal could love an imp.)
I NEED others to see how vague and dismissive stolas was being in this episode.

Exactly! He decided when he had his answer, gave Blitz no time at all, and yk, had Blitz crying in the first 30 seconds of their conversation.

Watching stolas repeatedly backpedalling is like watching someone with their shoelaces tied together fall on their face, stand up, and then immediately try walking again without untying the laces.
Also, another alternative is how blitz is bringing a giant bag up through the window filled with stuff he bought himself for stolas rather than the stuff that stolas was tricked into helping blitz steal for his shitty dad.
Do you really think all that stuff wasnt sold by blitzo's dad?

Ah nobody understood the comment. Again HB fandom confirms me they are all brain rot.

I don't like how much this relates to me lol
Exactly

I think Stolitz learning and growing, but NOT ending up together, could be a satisfying ending. I’d like to see them reach a place of peace and understanding with each other, and taking the lessons learned from their dysfunctional relationship to move on and be better, happier people.
Personally that’s the ending I want because I’m so tired of this toxic and manipulative song and dance these two always have.
@falconeshield, a lot can happen in that time. When did that trailer come out, 2021?
@@falconeshield Whichever direction the writers take the story, it will be interesting to see how the characters grow!
@@PeldaChan and as Sarcastic said, the least Stolas could have done was tell Blitz: "tonight is going to be different.
😅 My bad…
I totally agree with him, it’s both their faults, but Stolas was the main screw up in The Full Moon episode.
Plus, when he arrives to save the I.M.P. crew from Dhorks, he literally says, "Who dares to mess with, my impish little plaything?".
@@thechampion2430 I know he's being protective, but really?
He is like Bruce Wayne/Batman. Tragic, yes, but he definitely wasn't giving as bad of a hand as he likes to believe, especially compared to those around him.
@@valentinkambushev4968 I guess so.
Yes, but blitz is a Dick that makes it more at fault.
If Stolas truly cared about Blitz, he would stop mistreating imps all together 🤷♀️
Blitz wouldn't give a shit about that. He'd find some other reason to whine about stolas 😂
@@Axel_Kasaithats not about blitz its about stolas being racist💀🙏

@@Axel_Kasai Blitz loves Stolas back even though he has reasons not too 💀
@@Axel_Kasai... You really are willfully obviously, aren't you ?
I love Stolas, but this man is so trapped in his head I'm surprised he can even see anybody else
This is helping me get through the recent episode, thank you.
@@benjaminmcneil574 I don't think so either, but if it does go sideways, this is the episode I'd point to as where that switch was flipped
Originally a plot point but scrapped at the end. Stella was portrayed to be nasty throughout the series and I think she might be the final villain. (Maybe she would take advantage with the cherubs’ power and turn into a seraph)
What I might want to see is Stolas losing his regal title and privileges and being exiled by his own clan; which gives him an opportunity to experience what the imps have been through.
They have a better relationship in fan art then the actual canon 😅
Agreed. I kinda felt like Stolas was gaslighting Blitzø, like he was the one who made it all about sex but then when Blitzø leans into the sexual nature of their relationship, Stolas gets upset saying he makes it all about sex. Like, what?
literally blitz came onto him and used stolas to get his book, did u not see the episode where hat happens?
@@noefernandez1697 yes however stolas made the arrangement,

@@noefernandez1697 Stolas started it, when he caught Blitzo inmmediatly said he was there to ravage him (it was like that) and genuinely thing he was just there to fuck him, he even asks if it was not that why he would be in his castle. @@stormy._.n1ght no he didn’t Stolas guards caught him breaking into his house…
@@kaihirako1872 i didnt mean the exact scene in there, i meant with how after they ended up having a one-night stand thing
But Stolas did arrange the whole thing in muder family i think?
When he was calling blitz to make that arrangment *while* he was in danger himself
My point was that Stolas knows what it's like to fumble that hard, yet refused to afford Blitz any kind of forgiveness when he fumbled. It rings hypocritical for me.
