- In this video I compare and contrast the more affordable Yankee Candle Home Inspiration candles with those from the main line. I explore similarities and differences in terms of ingredients, sizes, packaging, pricing and availability. Comparisons are made to other candle brands. I burn a Home Inspiration candle for the first time (Pomegranate Coconut) and share my thoughts.

I can confirm that these candles are hitting stores in the us. My gf bought a couple at Meijer recently after seeing them for the first time. I immediately assumed that they were simply of a lower quality and thus less expensive. Fortunately for me, you seem to be a candle expert haha. Very informative video. Thanks!

I like the Home Inspiration, American Home, Simply Home, Regular Line from Yankee. I burned Apple Cinnamon Cider in Home Inspiration last year and the throw was very good. American Home gave the lightest throws, of which I do not mind. The last Home Inspiration candle I bought was last week at Burlington (Pumpkin Cider) and might burn it next year. I do have Strawberries & Cream, Sunny Poppy, and a few others. Mostly have about 100 Yankee Candles in the shop. I'm burning a medium jar of Golden Sands for the first time, and I really like it. The last regular Yankee candle I bought was an outlet one called Apple Cinnamon & Maple and cost under $11 at Ross. My favorites lines in this order are Yankee, Woodwick, Goose Creek, Ecowix, and possibly Scentworx since I'll be burning my first one soon. I have burned Gingered Apples and Aged Golden Oak from the HI line and they both threw well. Happy Burning!
Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you have some different scents and lines to the ones we get in the UK. I’m a tad jealous!! I am looking forward to burning Gingered Apples from Home Inspiration this fall though 🍁🍂
@@MakeEveryDayLuxe You're welcome, here in the US we're spoiled with these lines haha. Just finished Yankee's Moonlight which smelled similar to their Midsummer's Night except for a note or two. Midnight Sky smells like both of them combined. Just started American Home by Yankee Candle's Clear Mountain Lake. How did Home Inspiration's Gingered Apples do for you?
@@scottvanhille5688 Clear Mountain lake sounds lovely. I love lavender and sage. Gingered Apples is gorgeous. It smelled like apple crumble; Perfect for autumn. I actually saved some to burn this year as they seem to have stopped making it and I didn’t want it to end!!
Another thing I've discovered between the original Yankee Candles and the Home Inspirations range is that the Illuma-lid candle toppers don't fit the Home Inspiration range. I always use an Illuma-lid to help steady the flame and prevent tunnelling but none of mine fit despite being official Yankee Candle Illumi-lids.
So that's something to keep in mind if you use them.
Yes, thanks for adding that. My mum got very confused when her Illuma-lid wouldn’t fit onto a Home Inspirations candle she had!!
Great review I collect the original but I do enjoy the inspirations a couple I have had burn issues with, on the whole I do enjoy them and use them but prefer my originals 💕
Thanks Candy. I’m a huge fan of your channel and look forward to your videos every Sunday. It’s interesting that you’ve had issues with some of them when Yankee say that the wax is exactly the same. I wonder if it’s to do with the different jars. I like the originals but I’m thrifty, so the home inspiration range gets me really excited!! X

@@Candyflames123 Let’s hope so. A lot of the summery ones have been lovely. I’m quite new to the Home Inspirations line. Do you know if they bring back scents? I bought the Churros one on your recommendation and am wondering if it will ever return 🤔
@@MakeEveryDayLuxe I love the churros, I’m very big on my foodie candles. As far as I know they haven’t bought any back, but they do keep the popular ones available I love the sugared blossoms one also cherry vanilla they are nice 😊

I’ve got mango lemonade on the go but can’t get past just the waxy burning smell when lit 😢 smells so lovely on cold tho! Which is a shame x
How disappointing 😢 I have Mango Lemonade and was so looking forward to burning it 😭 I haven’t experienced a waxy smell with any of the other Home Inspiration fragrances that I have burnt though so I’m hoping that this is a one off 🤞🏻

@@MakeEveryDayLuxe I was lucky, got my usual shopping and noticed these near my checking till, I immediately got one, cheeky unplanned purchase 😆realised at home, to my surprise cashier haven't charged me. Bought sugared blossom. Also got lace and white linen scent, scent like my nan's clean laundry draw. This smell hits me hard as I miss so much my lovely granny 💔

Thank you for this review, a great help! I'm like you, a candle junkie... I have never paid £25-£30 for a yankee, I get them for about £15-£20. Have you tried the Home Bargains Wickford & Co? They are amazing quality and for £3, fantastic!
You are very welcome. I’m with you. A Yankee Candle store employee told me that they always have a half price sale on of whatever fragrances they have a lot of stock of!! I will definitely try a Wickford and Co based on your recommendation . I always think they smell great but was unsure about how they would perform. I think I’ll pick up a white chocolate one now 🙏🏻
