Which Pokemon aged the worst in your opinion?
Crystal Onix! was introduced as something mythical and then just kinda... poof....
Toxipex
Deerling and Sawksbuck, because GF never uses the forms to match the environment anymore whenever its in a game.
@@zeemgeem SV fixed this actually. You can find the different forms depending on what part of Paldea you’re in.
Blissey. Lost almost everything that made it good and then fell out of ou for the first time.
The devs getting rid of Signal Beam still confuses me to this day. It was one of very few special attacking bug moves, had a decent base power, was the only bug type move that caused confusion, and provided both good coverage and stab to mons that needed it. It’s not like some of the other axed moves that were either extremely niche/situational or had very limited distribution, Signal Beam was on most fully evolved Pokémon.
This and the removal of other moves that were familiar to me back in Gen 4 days like Silver Wind, Spider Web, Feint Attack and Pursuit (just to name a few) suprised me when I found out in Gen 8. Most Bug Pokemon are already weak and when the Dark Type was introduced back in Gen 2, it had those gimmicky sinister moves that seemed weak at first but can cause some damage if you aren't prepared (e.g. Pursuit and Beat Up).
Plus it kind of just ruins midgame teams, there just isn’t any transition move between the weak Struggle bug and bug buzz anymore which would make using a special attacking bug type really suck until you get Bug buzz
Plus there’s the coverage removal you mentioned, now almost all electric types just straight up have nothing but electric and normal type moves unless they terrastalize.
I get removing stuff that's redunant or too specific, we had so many moves that were practically never used, but so many good moves got the axe as well...
And there's a *painful* gap in SwSh's movesets for mid game, where you're mainly stuck with awful to middling moves unless you go out of your way to get the stronger end-game ones in the Wild Area.
@@Castersvarogsame with A majority of ice and a few steel types who already had barren movepools to begin with. The Pyschic and Ghosts that had it got a replacement at with learn Dazzling Gleam but Electric, Ice and Steel were told to suck it up essentially.
Basically gen 8 told old pokémon the same thing to fans: we’re taking away good stuff from the game so suck it up
There’s pokemon like Deerling & Sawsbuck who aged poorly for different reasons. They were specifically designed to show off one of a then-new games features which were abandoned in the next one
I would argue Furfrou also falls into that category, but for a weird reason. Furfrou can change forms by getting groomed, essentially its other forms just being the Pokémon with a fancy haircut (fitting with X and Y’s theme of fashion). However, for some reason Gamefreak made it so that Furfrou reverts back to normal if it is put in the box or after two days pass. I believe this cumbersome mechanic has been the reason Furfrou has not shown up in a mainline game since X and Y, only showing up in Pokémon Go where the form change doesn’t expire (even when you transfer to Pokémon home).
Rip chatot
@@nopatiencejoe6376 Chatot was probably a necessary nerf
@@CyberDrewan They could just let the dog keep it's drip.
Serene Grace Headbutt is a fun and annoying strat tho
I love Articuno. I traded him to Silver and swept the elite 4 over and over again. He was my first level 100 ever.
Mine was Emboar in white. When I got my first level 100 my friend was surprised.
Mine was Blastoise back in the 90s. But that was a cartridge I found at the bus stop and it happened to have a saved file on it’s with a level 45 Blastoise. My technical first was Blaziken.
Yeah Articuno is one of if not my favorite pokemon. Though I've always had a thing for ice/snow type things in all media. That being said as a kid I always got Zapdos as it was just easier to get.
My first lvl 100 pokemon was I THINK feraligator or Lugia. I cant remember the first one I got in gen 1
Articuno is only bad because it has a weakness-laden defensive type. Snow Cloak and Tera in VGC has let it make a name for itself on snow teams.
A big part of celebi's fall off is that bug was it's biggest weakness and before gen 5 that didn't matter. Bug barely had any moves worth worrying about, let alone things that could hit with STAB. Then gen 5 rolled around bug became an actual attacking type
Gen 4 introduced u-turn, bug buzz and many bug staples from today, so that is when the fall began
6:57 While Metagross appreciated its Mega and Fairies in Gen 6, Gen 6 also made it so Steel doesn't resist Dark and Ghost anymore, and in turn, making it so Steel no longer cancels out 2 of Psychic's biggest weaknesses.
This sped up regular Metagross's downfall even faster because not only did it have to be more fearful of fast Ghost and Dark sweepers, but it got much more vulnerable to priority moves such as Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch.
And guess which type is the most prominent type in recently games ghost and gusse who the only type beside ghost itself is weak to ghost type Psychic type
@@joshhallam6342 very true. Removing Pursuit was lowkey a mistake
I feel the same way for Jirachi.
@@jomariendino7734The difference with Jirachi is that I’m okay with Jirachi being considered mediocre. That stupid thing gives me a migraine every time I see it in Gen 4 OU.
What really killed Metagross was the steel-type losing its resistance to ghost and dark in gen 6
I love Aegislash, both for looks and its unique mechanics; however its introduction is most likely the reason that steel’s resistances to both ghost and dark were removed. This really neutered any steel-psychic types’ chances of being good (Metagross, Bronzong, and Jirachi).
Steel was too defensively overpowered. It deserved to be nerfed.
There's also a Pokémon I like which aged poorly : Machamp.
The dude started being good in gen2 and is an OU mon in the gens 3 and 4, getting buffs after buffs : Gen 2 Special split buffs its Special Defense, Gen 3 gives it Guts, which makes burning it dangerous and Gen4 gives it No Guard which allows it to perform its famous Dynamic Punch sets. It was a serious threat back then but in Gen5, Conkledurr starts stealing its spotlight with its better bulk and offense along with the access of Drain Punch which allows it to use better its longevity. In Gen6 the Fairy type's introduction along with Assault Vest which gives Conkledurr a good enough Special bulk to completely outclass Machamp as a slow bulky Fighting type in OU
Unlike Conkledurr, Machamp suffers from the lack of bulk, Drain Punch to have longevity and Mach Punch for STAB priority while the fighting type competition grows stronger each generation.
We had to wait until PLA to see Machamp using those two moves for the first time (While Hariyama, its Hoenn cousin, also got robbed like Machamp and had to wait Scarlet and Violet to get Drain Punch).
While it didn't end up as trash as some Mons in the video, Machamp is now a shadow of its former self.
Edit : Okay so Machamp is bad in gen3 OU. Thanks for correcting my mistake.
Calling Machamp an OU mon in gen 3 is a big stretch though, it's BL and on the lower end of BL viability to say the least
machamp is absolutely anusable in gen3 OU, I would argue that even kadabra and zangoose have a bigger niche, because they dont get outspeed and koed by everything.
And I think that Machamp isnt used today anymore, I never heard of it ever again after gen4.
hoW DARE YOU REASONABLY AND LOGICALLY EXPLAIN CELEBI'S WEAKNESSES?!?!?!?!?! WHAT ARE YOU A CELEBI HATER??!?!?!?!
What
@@kamikaze3636 irony my dude
Yes
Guessin Iron Leaves is just a bulkier Celebii but whit the same problem?
Ikr
Maybe you should do another video like this one of but unrelated to competitive, just, for example, for mons that lost the gimmick they were created for. The most obvious example of this is Chatot. Its whole thing was its signature move being able to record sound and play it as its cry... which it no longer does, effectively making this mon pointless now.
One could also mention Unown, which lost its ability to hit physically when the physical/special split happened (except with struggle).
Mawile got hit even harder.
And some pokemon aren't as interesting without their generation's gimmick. Take away Alcremie's ability to turn in to a giant three tiered wedding cake and you take away the reason it was made.
@@Stinkoman87 Yeah I guess Alcremie is just... Alcremie now.
Deerling and Sawsbuck never got the chance to change forms again, since seasons were removed after Gen V.
I fell like the moment flygon fell was the moment garchomp was introduced
While Garchomp immediately would make Flygon redundant, wasn't Garchomp always a way higher tier to let Flygon have some niche?
I felt like Zoroark aged poorly for a while until the Hisuian Form came out, and it’s highly loved.
Maybe it's time to give Zoroark another ability outside of "Illusion", another type like Fairy to his Dark (for more immunities).
Nah, it didn’t age poorly. Team Preview ensured it always came out of the store one day before the expiration date.
I think Goodra also falls in the same boat too being worst Pseudo Legendary before its Hisuian Form.
Zoroark is cool but useless with team preview. I love zoroark but illusion does nothing for it unless if they get rid of team preview.
I think a lot of pokemon need updated types and abilities. Celebi Grass/Fairy is a must. And stuff like pressure on legendaries needs to be thrown away and never mentioned again. Exclusive powerful abilities now.
Pressure on legendaries makes sense though but I agree with your premise also
Gamefreak will likely continue to ignore it.
@@Ryanrhodes1 No it doesn't lol. I mean who cares about Pressure. Absolutely one of the most if not the most boring ability of all time.
@@minmin8580 yes it does legendaries are supposed to instill fear into regular Pokémon
Pressure is such a boring ability, they should've at least give legendaries intimidate or something if they wanted to be lazy.
Jolteon doesn't surprise me since Eeveelutions usually don't fair well in the modern metagame, but boy was he good in Gen 1. He actually stood a chance against Mewtwo
Yeah I've noticed a similar thing with Umbreon frankly, where pretty much the only thing it can do with any regular skill is tank hits, which while great doesn't amount to much considering it hits back like a wet noodle tbh. Especially ever since it lost access to Toxic tbh.
Gotta love gen 1s broken crit mechanics
Jynx also fell off competitively. She was great in Gen 1 and still threatening in Gen 2 before becoming useless as Psychic and Ice fell off really hard as types and sleep wasn't enough to save her from her extreme frailty.
It's sad how they nerfed Greninja's Protein. But I guess it makes sense seeing how every Pokémon can now be a different type due to the crystals.
There was no reason to do it at all
I have a feeling Terapagos is gonna have a version of Protean or Libero, and they nerfed the ability since a legendary that can always have STAB and change its defensive type would be absolutely busted
@@jrlaps521 what about arceus multi type
I know that Gengar is still good, but the fsct that they removed Levitate from him still hurts me, since he's my favourite pokemon. I still don't understand the reason, he wasn't that broken, and from a lore perspective it makes a lot of sense, since he's a ghost that flies all the time
If you play SV, he’s levitating in battle and when he follows you. It makes no sense why they took it away.
It sucks too because he’s one of the few Pokémon that actually benefitted from Levitate
@@megabladechronicles962 idk what you're saying here, basically everything benefits from a free ground immunity
@@bewill5121 but Gengar is weak to ground without levitate unlike a majority of Pokémon with Levitate. The only others are the Koffing line and Gengar’s pre-evolutions
@@bewill5121 bc gangar is weak to ground. Some Pokémon with levitate just resist ground or take neutral damage from it.
11:16 I really don't know why Gamefreak stripped away some good moves in gen 8. I can get Hidden Power so that no Pokemon gets a free different type max move but moves like Return and Signal Beam did nothing wrong.
Especially when worse moves still somehow made their way into gen 8 and 9
Dynamaxed Hidden Power would probably have just become Max Strike, since that's how the Z move version worked (could only be used with Normalium Z to become Breakneck Blitz).
I think the main reason it was removed is just because it made competitive building so much more of a pain. They've been moving toward making it easier to build competitive Pokemon in recent gens, with mints and egg move passing and removing the arbitrary limit on vitamin EVs. I think Hidden Power's typing being based on something you can't change was a little much, since in theory you should be able to turn your beloved in-game team into a competitively viable team (even if there are still some things in the game that still don't super work with that design philosophy, like Toxtricity's form and missed pre-evolution moves still being locked away forever, like Breloom's Spore if you evolved too early).
@@NotAnElk Hidden Power values are dictated by IVs. Interestingly you can alter them now with Hyper Training, but only to increase them. I think having an item equivalent to a HA patch in terms of rarity but functionality equivalent to EV reducing berries just for IVs instead would solve this issue entirely
Talonflame has been incredibly good in gen 9 VGC from day 1. Until a better tailwind setter is introduced i doubt it's going anywhere
Murkrow was better in series 1 and was a better TWind setter for its bulk and utility, but yeah Talon has just been really consistent overall
murkrow was literally better than it day 1. prankster tailwind goes insanely hard despite how annoying it is
Bro, Ninetales and Sun as a whole even fell off in Gen 5 after Arena Trap’s ban and Drought + Chlorophyll.
Metagross is still really solid despite not being absolutely oppressive like it used to be. It still has a great ability, impressive typing, decent bulk and a solid move pool with a variety of options to fit various rolls in teams. It's still really versatile and once it's added to Scarlett and Violet will still continue to see competitive usage.
I’d love to see a similar video about Pokemon most affected by the physical/special split. There’s plenty who could finally use their STAB with their better attack stat, like Gyarados and Gengar, and I’d love to know Pokémon that got screwed over by moves becoming special or physical
Alacazam, because it won't benefit from the elemental punches anymore
Chansey and Blissey also tumbled REALLY fast after staying on top for SO long.
I'm greatly offended that you'd insult my cousin, Honda Civic, like that. How dare you.
Gotta love power creep. But honestly, with 1k pokemon, it's impressive that it isnt as bad as in... lets say yugioh
Does Pokémon have an equivalent to Ash Blossom?
@ The thing that come closest is probably Landorus-T. An incredibly versatile Pokémon that does well in almost every matchup and that keeps at bay many broken Mons. Often referred to as a "necessary evil" by the community.
I would say that ash functions similar to items and items are obviously pretty much a small puddle of it was always broken, but I'm not very knowledgeable on the matter.
Maybe field moves, like weather setters.
I think all the Eeveelutions deserve a buff. Give them all more moves and slightly buff their stats and I think they'll see more usage.
Especially with how popular they are and having them so prominently showcased with the introduction of Penny. I’m really hoping either the ScarVi DLCs or gen 10 can do so
Sableye, Mawile and Beedrill after losing their Mega's 🙁
Edit: Hypno after the special stat split, should had more Special Attack.
They did psychic type so dirty. Imagine if they changed celebi, jirachi, and victini from psychic to fairy type. All three would be way better.
I think Tyranitar has fallen off too. It’s time in the spotlight has ran out especially now that it has a new weakness, lost pursuit and it’s weather isn’t no longer infinite. Also the greninja nerfs hurt it a lot and that really hurts for me because I love it
Honestly it can still do good, but it needs team meme ears that can be enabled by its sandstorm like Excadrill.
It may have fallen off from being mandatory in gens 3 and 4 to vital in gen 5 to great but not excellent in gens 6 and 7 to meh in gen 8, but that is a far cry of a drop down compared to most of these. Considering it's a gen 2 mon it survived power creep a hell of a lot better than many, MANY other mons from the same era can say they have
Tyranitar is still really good
@@lucianofrancesco4742 true but it used to be better, back before it’s weather stopped being infinite, it got a new weakness and lost pursuit. Back before the insane power creep of gens 8-9
Thank you for referencing FSG & his coin of Rampardos Theorem. Maybe a video on the reverse who did age well can fit in next, another reference to FSG's video on ones who got better or had potential realized overtime?
Man I feel bad for Metagross. He is one of my top 10s but every single gen other than gen 4 nerfed it in one way or another. Gen 5 nerfed its best move and gen 6 removed two of steel's resistances that were huge for it because it made dark and ghost be super effective into it which are the two best types. Gen 7 also added z moves that could ko Metagross very easily and metagross itself couldn't use it because it wanted its mega stone to be good in ou. And in gen 8 dmax made it even easier to beat Metagross although Metagross can use dmax effectively too. Kind of interested to see how terastal will work for it although it isn't gonna be ou at all considering the ghost types and steel types that do what it does way better
Nah I disagree, Metagross Still has a lot going for it and I'm sure it'll find a niche in ou
Metagross might have gained a favourable matchup in gen 6 against fairy but because they also changed steel to no longer resist dark and ghost he gained two new weaknesses.
That hurt me personally. My poor baby! Jolteon has always been my favorite pokemon, and having to remember its fall from grace, and how good it used to be, it hurts me deeply :( my poor precious
Same 😔 I’ll still always use it though
I think it'd be a great addition if signature held items couldn't be knocked off. After all in most cases they're signature because they're part of the pokemons design. Might help marowak at least a bit
The fact that knock offand cohorts actually cannot affect drives on Genesect or Memories on Sylvady and Plates on Arceus even more reinforce the fact that id' be piss easy to have Leeks and Bones be unaffected by knock off and stuff if held by the correct pokémon. Pretty sure it also holds true for like, the griseous orb and stuff.
@@youtube-kit9450that's actually a fantastic point and just frustrates me even more that some signature items can't be knocked off but others can. Especially because the pokemon that can't lose their items are all legendaries, as if they needed extra help being viable lol
If you do another one of these videos you should mention kantonian Persian. Pretty similar story to Tauros actually.
Surprised Starmie didn’t make the list. 6 gens of OU despite getting no bonuses, followed by plummeting to obscurity.
Maybe given Illuminate makes no sense anymore they’ll give it a really awesome ability!
Man, Jolteon and Flygon are some of my favorite pokemon. They were done so dirty.
Celebi needs to be Grass Fairy
I know Psychic was like the "legendary type" but now it needs to change and maybe get a signature move, though something like Future signature would be cool
Metagross is set to return to gen 9 in the DLC like in gen 8, as metagross is going to be within the Indigo Disc DLC
The special attack stat didn't even matter for Tauros. Normal type moves were all physical up until gen 4, so it would be launching stab base 100 attack, base 150 power attack with potentially no recharge.
I really liked the shade you casted on that jagoff Tom Brady at the beginning, but I have to ask since I’ve been waiting for a while. When are you going to do the best type for generation 9? You’ve done pretty much every other generation/game, and I’m really curious as to what’s the best type to use in scarlet and violet.
Metagross’ biggest stealth nerf was steel losing resistance to ghost and dark. It’s psychic type is now a liability and knockoff/pursuit (when it was in the game) were like an instant delete button.
There's also the Gen 8 Fossil Pokémon. They aged poorly because neither them were reconstructed right...
I'm forever mad they didn't make celebi a grass fairy since it literally says it's an onion fairy
tbh seeing jolteon made me so happy… i was watching a vid the other day where someone called it a mid pokémon and i was so emo about it, i almost always opt for jolty when i want an electric type on the team
Metagross got worse with each passing gen introducing new debuffs for it. Meanwhile other pseudos like Dragonite got multiscale, Tyranitar stayed in OU for most of its existence or they just make OP pseudos like Dragapult
Honestly I wish they gave it Shift gear, it would be perfect for it.
@@Castersvarog Many have suggested that. Double Iron Bash too. It needs a new physical psychic move since Zen Headbutt is only 90% accurate (or just make it 100%). Maybe the new move Psyshield Bash. It also needs a new hidden ability. But its typing is still bad these days.
Tauros was a menace for one of the seasons in swsh, but that was about it 😅
Sad to say but for me it’s Talonflame, especially after his nerf
John dunking on Tom Brady isn’t something I had on my 2023 bingo card lol
poor Jolteon. And Variety scout as well kinda killed it :(
Oh wells.
Jolteon will always be my favorite Electric type, don't care if how outclassed he is now... he will always be my favorite in any form, any media...
Instead of poorly aged ones, how about ones that started bad but became better in later gens? I guess Politoed and Ninetales count for that list, but there's also Machamp, Mawile, Dragonite, etc.
Azumarill. That is all.
Venomoth. It's never been genuine OU material, but it went from being worthless in the lowest formats in its first few Gens to being banned from several lower tiers in multiple consecutive generations starting in Gen 5.
Late, but oricorio, drednaw, clefable, azumarill, pelipper, torkoal. Honestly a lot more but this is what I remember this gen.
Oh man, as an elder fan this whole video just kinda hurt my soul. I remember the glory days (or miserable ones because I never liked Talonflame) with basically all of these and have trained up versions of most. My roster of "competitive" mons reaches all the way back to my copy of Sapphire from 2002
Hm, how very interesting, I can see where you come with these, i wonder what other Pokémon aged poorly and if they can make a comeback somehow?
I will look forward to see what you come up with next.
Sceptile was made before the Phy/Spe split
Thunder Punch, Crunch, and STAB Leaf Blade, as well as say HP Fire
Now it's moveset consists of STAB Leaf Storm/Energy Ball, Focus Miss, Dragon Pulse and HP Fire, that last one of which would eventually be removed, literally nothing else after those 4 moves
EDIT: it's physical movepool off of 85 Atk is much more appealing (STAB Leaf Blade, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Drain Punch, Thunder Punch, Crunch, Sword Dance, Dragon Dance)
I'm sad about Talonflame and Jolteon
Tauros won a STACKED Regional this year, so I don't think it should count for this list lol
one of the funniest out of context thumbnails of all time
The fact they are able to change a Pokémon's Ability between Generations really shows that they can easily buff or nerf a Pokémon for that alone. They should tweak Tinkaton's abilities and even her stats.
Can we get a video on when each type had its strongest gen
cool video! an opposite video exploring pokemon who got better with age will be great
As a person who doesn’t care about competitive Pokémon I feel like it’s an inaccurate representation of Pokémon that aged poorly
Fun fact- Articuno was able to win a regional tournament in May 2024.
NOT THE TITLE WITH THAT THUMBNAIL, GOD, IM TRAUMATIZED
I would love a "Pokemon that Aged Well" version of this video. Any excuse to talk about my boy Azumarill
I was thinking to compensate for the loss of hidden power after this gen they keep tera types in not teraratilizing just tera types and tera blast and make some other moves that use either yours or your opponents tera type for attacking or even defending still thinking out how it would work
Man I miss Pokemon Stadium 2. Stupid me left it with one of my best friends in HS, and he apparently "couldn't find it" when I asked for it back. Even looked myself, and the other N64 games were there but not that.
RIP to all the mons my brothers and I had stored on it.
What's a Tombrady? Is that from one of the spin-off games?
4:56 - yeah, this one hurts. You're still a winner in my book, Fly-Boy.
idk if bro forgot about physical special split. hyper beam was physical in gen 1
Many of the female Pokemon aged extremely poorly just like a Christmas Cake (after Christmas, it is useless)
Latias went from OU in gen 3 to Untiered in gen 8.
Chansey went from OU in gen 5 to PU in gen 9.
Cresselia went from UU in gen 4 to untiered in gen 8-9.
Zacian went from banned from Ubers to OU.
Kangaskhan was Uber in Gens 6-7, but is now worse than most little cup Pokemon.
Lunala is low tier Uber.
Whats the problem with jynx? i didn´t get it. I love it the same way I love other pokemon with human traces.
Is the car in LA that’s being broken into clip from Slime trying to get back Ludwig’s car in LA?
That Honda Civic is going to last until the end of time lmao.
I feel like most of the recent videos can be summed up as "here's all the Pokemon that suck now"
I wanna know who was using jolteon in ou after gen 2
4:30 That joke was a classic! I literally lol'd at that one. Sad but true.
The Flygon one hurts my soul a little. The poor guy is just always getting ignored.
Mi comadre Jynx siempre getting the short end of the stick :'( Pero tu fandom es eterno mija
Your intro is AWESOME! lol
the entire normal type has aged poorly.
it used to be the best type in gen 1 and for several years now it has only one representative in OU.
it got lucky to receive hisuian zoroark now in gen 9.
Starmie fell off pretty hard around gen 6 like Jolteon. Unfortunate, it's my favorite Pokemon...
You too huh? It really did not take Rapid Spin losing its utility to Defog well
Gengar losing levitate was pretty devastating. I used to fear Gengar when I saw him on the team preview screen. Now?? That thing is a joke...I literally wall him with several options!
I get that it's a thing to dump on Tom Brady but the dude was in the top 10 in almost every major statical category last year with a terrible O-line and revolving door at WR. Not to mention he was 45 and going through a divorce. He never fell off a cliff. There were still teams who were planning on pursuing him before he announced his retirement.
"Oh boy the next one is another fan favorite."
Me: Wonder whose he going to talk about?
"Flygon"
Me: Cries in a corner.
Man that thumbnail is vicious lmaoooo
Poor Jolt. I just recently got a shiny too.
Celebi could use a new form, oh and it should be grass/fairy, why doesn't it get any love?
Talon flame is used right now in doubles
I believe mega Metagross was an Uber at some point. Surely that was a good time for it. But I guess (almost) every Pokémon with a mega fell off after gen 7
That thumbnail is on point 😂 my favorite of all time
If I could change one thing about Pokémon I would absolutely remove the fairy type from existence
Since Jolteon is one of my top favorite pokemon and one I used ALL the time through many of the games up until recently as my main Electric Pokemon, I genuinely get angry at how badly they nerfed Jolteon in the last couple of games. I didn't even want to bench my Jolteon, but it just kept getting out classed by other mons.
2:25 not my poor man *GINKO* :(
Garchomp fell from ou in gen 9. Mostly thanks to baxcalibur, great tusk and gliscor. Weavile also fell hard in gen 9 thanks to losing triple axel and chien pao replacing it.
Tyranitar fell of really hard in just one generation. Tera doesn’t benefit Tyranitar since it likes staying a rock type for the Sp. def boost. Lots of new threats like Dondozo and Great Tusk making it weaker both offensively and defensively. The removal of pursuit also didn’t help but it still managed to hold on without it until this generation.
Yeah, Talon’s fine now, though that’s from my VGC perspective as I believe it’s still not the best in singles. It has a niche and sticks to it, thing has seen a lot of tournament usage and has consistently seen good usage in ladder play. Honestly would say it’s just a healthier mon for the meta now.
4:24 yooo ludwigs car
Hmm… well, I’m not sure if Paldean Blaze Tauros counts, because I made it all the way to master rank with my Blaze Tauros in SV, he’s been the MVP of my competitive team.
Can we get video on the best and worst anime exclusive towns
I’m surprised that Darkrai didn’t make this list, what with Sleep specialty getting destroyed. (I know that Darkrai was kinda unfair before, but now it’s just a glass cannon with a nigh-useless Ability without help.)
