It really hit me hard when Ronnie lost his Son Todd, and then his wife Joyce. I called Ronnie a few days afterwards. I dont ever want to hear a Broken man like that again. Thats because you had to be able to actually sing then. Today, music is like the Johnny Bravo episode of the Brady Bunch. you just have to fit the suit. if you will twerk or strip naked in a video, and are attractive with a good body you're in. with all the technology, they can replace your voice or dub in one syllable at a time, and make you sound like anybody they want. you don't need talent; you just have to be up for sale.
1978 joined the U.S Army at 17, bought CD"s of Barry White, The Commodores, Art Garfunkel, all the greats, then listened to this unbelievable artist, and I was hooked, after hearing Smokey Mountain Rain, a treasure at best, just a belief in a man that can speak the heart..

You got that right today's music is just shit to me. But on the other hand when we listen to our favorites as a young person growing, our parents, guardian, or who ever raised you said the same thing that the music at that time wasn't cutting it either, and so we carry that tradition and tell our kids that their modern music sucks, and then their children will tell their kids and so on and so on. It's just what you grew up with that style of music what your use to and when they change the sound and how the beat is and how they sound singing will get us to say it's bad and not cutting it. But you right it's not. Especially country music, today's country sound so different and some singers don't even sound country but should be in pop, today's country sounds like pop. It's like country music has died and left with singers like Taylor Swift for example she's ok but doesn't sound like country but pop. To me Carrie Underwood is the same. I think that Ronnie Milsap is one of the most inspiring musicians I can think of. Being blind and being able to play the piano as beautifully as he can, on top of having the wonderful voice that he has, is just nothing short of amazing. ~~ Ronnie Milsap has been my all-time favorite since I was a little girl listening to him on 8 track!! Mom went on to Heaven this past March After beating Covid 2 months prior all while already hospitalized recovering from a deteriorating spine surgery at age 64. Anyway, she surprised me for my birthday 20+ years ago and took me to see Ronnie in concert, just her and I. We had so much fun!!! I'll never forget how special it was to me back then..... And even more so now that she's gone!!!! Ok, so.... Crying my eyes out again.... Missing my Mom sooooooo so much!!!!! Please.... ANYONE who happens to read this..... Take the time and share experiences with those you love!!!!! Create those special memories you and your loved one can always look back on and smile!!!! There will be a day when that's all you have of them..... Those special memories frozen in your mind!!!!! There's NOTHING I wouldn't give to have my Momma back.... even if only for a moment!!!!!! 😭💔

Saw Ronnie Millsap in concert at the Tri-state fair in Amarillo, Texas in the fall of 1981 with my then future husband. This song describes how I fell about the man that became my husband. We only had 13 short years... But oh the living we did in those years.💜💜💜 Great concert and didn't let his blindness affect his performance one little bit. Loved him then, love him now

Hello 👋 . How are you doing? Hope you’re fine. I am Jeffery Peterson and I'm Originally from Lisbon Portugal but I'd live in Charleston SC. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl.
Ronnie is extremely talented . had a lot of not just hits but songs that stand the test of time. actually met him in my lil ole home town of Douglas Ga. in the late 80s at the DQ
I am a hard rocker but if there's one guy i think blows them all away it's Ronnie, God bless you i love just about every song of his, & that will never change.
Ok so I addressed this once before. My blind Lothario, Ronnie Milsap. I would be so happy to love a talented blind man. Guess who didn't hate you for gaining a few pounds? A blind man. He only cared about how sweet you smelled, how nice you sounded, how good you felt. God should bless more women with blind men.
Now this is a freaking classic!! Remembering riding in my Dad’s 71 Ford pickup listening to this on the way to go fishing.. Man I miss you Pop! Lost him 01-16-23… I will never forget the time you always spent with me… I’m 54 now and realize everything you where teaching me in life along the way…
I lost my wife three months ago today. This song shreds my heart into a thousand pieces: my heart will never mend, love was the best it's ever been.

Truly amazing.The power of music.
Hi Julie,hope you’re okay ?
Love his music. Grew up listening to it.
Whoever would give Ronnie Milsap a thumbs down don't know what real country music is it's nothing like today this music today I wouldn't give you a dime for it I am a die-hard pure real country person who knows the country music is one of the greatest things ever someone needs to go to Nashville and where it says home of country music put a new sign up that says home of crap music because that's what this new country is I don't like it I don't listen to it anytime I want to hear good country music I just listen to the classic that's where music is at we ain't got a lot of Legends left from Old School country and wants all the Legends have passed on there won't be nothing left to listen to except finding it on RUclips or other music channels but as for this new stuff you couldn't pay me enough to listen to it

I played this song at my dear mother's funeral beautiful talented man 🎸
I remember watching Ronnie perform on "Austin City Limits." He loved to play with the audience just like here in this video. At rehearsal, he would count the steps to the edge of the stage, then walk forward during the show and wait for the crowd to gasp thinking he was going to fall. This man is an amazing fearless artist.
I buried my mommy 2 days ago...how I miss her so. 😢 Love you forever Rona Christine

Right. I've certainly got a person in mind when I hear this song and it just brings it all home, and so joyfully, brilliantly, and beautifully.
I'm 44 year's old and Ronnie Milsap has always been my favorite artist since I was a kid...! And he will always be my favorite til the day I die....! :-)

So many have lost someone beautiful and kind, we will see them again in Heaven hang in there it's the most difficult thing I have gone through. Love is on the other side

What a great talent. And Ronnie had the coolest backup doo wop singers back then
Saw Ronnie Millsap in concert at the Tri-state fair in Amarillo, Texas in the fall of 1981 with my then future husband. This song describes how I fell about the man that became my husband. We only had 13 short years... But oh the living we did in those years.💜💜💜 Great concert and didn't let his blindness affect his performance one little bit. Loved him then, love him now

Hello friend, how are you doing today😊😊
Ok so I addressed this once before. My blind Lothario, Ronnie Milsap. I would be so happy to love a talented blind man. Guess who didn't hate you for gaining a few pounds? A blind man. He only cared about how sweet you smelled, how nice you sounded, how good you felt. God should bless more women with blind men.
Hello friend, how are you doing today😊😊
