    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
    After finding Dr. Barkley (Nicholas Rudall) dead, Eddie (Keanu Reeves) tries to escape a massive explosion at the hydrogen lab.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
    Just as the university research team is about to prove that their new technique will permit water to be used as a fuel, their laboratory is sabotaged and the lab manager is killed. Eddie Kasalivich (Keanu Reeves) stumbles onto the scene and manages not only to witness the sabotage, but to escape from it. When he tries to talk about it to authorities, he discovers that they think he and the other project survivors committed the crime. In reality, a group of energy companies have conspired with interested parties in the government to completely erase all notion of the existence of a way to use water as fuel. The project sponsor (Morgan Freeman) wants Eddie to turn himself in, but before he can do that, he must find enough evidence to clear himself and his friends. But in order to succeed, Eddie must avoid assassination attempts by the real perpetrators.

      Derek Wall conceivably, if it converted all of its water into hydrogen, that would be roughly lets see 1 liter water is about 1000 liters gas plus 600 liters oxygen.. lets assume also leaking Yikes! that tanks is about 2000 liters producing 2 million liters of H2 gas plus 1,200,000 liters of oxygen. dun forget about the millions of liters of existing oxygen in the building as well. the force of such an oxygenated explosion would be of high order detonation thus comparable to that of a fuel air bomb only even more efficient! actually i dunno how much energetic yield that would produce buts its impressive to think about. lets go by weight.. 2000 liters of water is 5200 lb of explosive gas nearly perfectly mixed in 4 million liter volume would be like a fuel air explosive so multiply 5200 lb by 5 times to reveal a destructive yield on unarmored targets of 26,000 lbs of tnt or 13 tons of tnt equivalent giving a complete destruction radius of 450 feet and then. probably heavy destruction past 1000 feet or a quarter of a mile.

    • @baloog8
      @baloog8 7 лет назад +2

      Derek Wall so the fireball might be similar initial size but it wouldnt spread out like that. assuming keanu rode out about a quarter of a mile, the destruction would be devastating from the shockwave caving roofs and walls in but i doubt they would be nearly vaporized as shown here. also it would be immediate in a fraction of a second.. no dramatic ride away.. rachael weiz is hotter than the core of that explosion btw
