Been driving a 1.6 Cedia CVT tranny. First thing i noticed was it is a gas guzzler. Matipid naman kung highway, pero city traffic nah! Mabilis siya, but the CVT is kinda sluggish. Good handling. Stiff lang suspension maybe because pang rally car nga siya. Yung looks ng Cedia ay timeless for me, hindi na kailangan ng maraming abubot, good spoiler, mags and lowering spring e ayos na. Downside lang talaga ay timing belt, so be sure not to forget the interval of changing the timing belt. All in all Lancer Cedia is a proper car, good interior space and trunk space. The 4G18 engine is good enough especially if you know what kind of engine oil you'll be using. Madali naman makahanap ng parts, may mga experts na din na mechanics for Lancer Cedia.
Finally a good review about the Lancer GT 2.0. I also have that same car over 15 year now. It still runs great with no issues and it still looks like a brand new!!😆.. Thank you for the video sir!!!

if it says O2 Sensor issue, and it's not the actual sensor, it is probably the air-fuel mixture. Too lean? Too rich? Double check the Map Sensor or the ignition timing
@@abetmartinez1775 really? I thought the space would be bigger considering its size. I own one so it feels like it could fit a person inside better than the Cedia can, just not many boxes, btw how tall are you guys?
I have the UK spec 2.0 Sport version of this but we get 5 speed manual over the auto . We do get Sporty front seats but not like those fitted to yours. We do get a more Sporty grill over the GT one . I'm getting 40 mpg on a long trip down to 25 mpg in the city. As for fuel here we use 95 Ron which I use . My gripe is valve lifter noise , that annoys me
With the same 4g63NA engine? Very lucky! Plus you're getting very decent gas mileage, and I thought mine was already good LOL. I also get the valve lifter noise when I start it up in the morning, disappears once the engine gets hot enough
@@crustph gets better but it's still there. I had a sr20 powered Nissan before and far more smooth sounding . You can change out the lifters for the Evo ones that have a larger outlet which I'm told helps there

This makes me wanna get the gt version, the momo steering wheel and semi bucket seats makes me feel like being in an evo already lol. Shame they only came in cvts.
Its a very sporty driving experience yes. Its also not using CVT. It came with a standard 4-speed A/T transmission that's also used by the Outlander and the Grandis. So granted that its a heavier-duty unit than the 6-speed CVT used in the 1.6 litre Cedia
@@crustph yes, automatic. Thinking of the few extra dough I can save if I go with the GT, plus it's always been a dream car for me lol! Actually had an automatic 2008 FD, sold it 2 years ago. Considering FD again since most likely familiar with the unit already, troubleshooting etc hehe
One of the first five cars I absolutely fell in love with just behind the Porsche 911, the Toyota Supra, the Corolla AE111, and the Subaru Impreza. Edit: Also, it's an automatic as far as I know and so I wanna ask if it can be swapped to manual?
Kaya kaya makuha sa ECU tuning and replacing old sensors to help out with the fuel consumption? Planning to buy po kasi GT since kalahati na siya nang evo na pangarap ko. hahahaha
Yes to both. But my GT is one of the most fuel efficient GT's out there even with the CEL on. It all comes to maintenance, the fuel you use and of course, the way you drive :)
We have a different model here in my country...my cedia is similar in model externally and internally, but we are using a different engine (4g93 - 1.8L SOHC)...at least there you still got the bucket seat and the momo steering wheel Here, we have standard seat and standard steering wheel...and yeah, it's not that economical...mine eats 1L of gas for 7kms...LOL but, I love this car a lot...the handling is good and it's somehow comfortable for a car of her age...
We also have the standard 1.6L variants here.. The 2.0 GT was the last hurrah for the Cedia body and only sold for 1 and a half year before they killed it to make way for the Lancer Fortis/EX.
Great review po! Sir how to source for parts and possibly bumper gen3 for this particular lancer po? I just bought one as my first car pero mejo need repaint and palit parts. Can you suggest po shops or someone maka kuha ako ng bumper and parts for this specific unit? Thank you po.
I love love love the EX GT. That rare time that Mitsubishi learned their lesson and brought in a MANUAL top of the line variant with the 4b11 engine. And just as they expected, no one bought it. Proving right then and there, bringing in a Lancer GT manual was not good for business.

Finally a video of the Lancer GT Cedia!
Had one with sunroof but with a tiny 1.6l 4g18 engine it handles corners really good
bro . cedia gt still kicks ass when it comes to speed even for todays more modern car standards.
still can't beat a 1.6 Civic SiR tho
Dude this is an awesome review!
Glad y'all enjoyed fam!
Pinaka maayos na review na napanuod ko. Mga good and bad about sa car nato na showcase nya very well ng walang bias. 👏
It's a good thing that most of the problems of this gen were improved with the Lancer EX, you should try out the GT-A model next time
Sadly the EX also had its own fair share of problems. The trunk space and knee room are considerably worse. The 4b11 is definitrly a step forward tho

Been thinking of getting a GT or a Civic FD this year. Which way to go? Hehe
