Neanche possiamo comparare con Caruso dato che la qualità delle grabazioni è mala. E poi, Pavarotti era eccelente nella sua categoria vocale, quella del tenore lirico, ma ce ne sono molte opere che non cantò mai come Mozart o Bizet. O non poteva cantare come, per esempio, Wagner. Per quanto riguarda, il repertorio lirico italiano, la voce del tenore drammatico come Del Monaco era più adatta ai ruoli come Canio o Calaf.

    Fun fact, when the original opera was being rehearsed in 1850, the composer made everyone promise that they wouldn't hum or whistle this song, since he knew how catchy it was. The next day basically everyone knew about it because people couldn't stop humming it outside of rehearsal.

      @@baedling4297 "L'uomo è mobile" is a poem which plays on the words of this aria. I don't know much about Tinder, but this one is an aria from opera Rigoletto, and the words "the woman is flighty like a feather in the wind..." actually have meaning in context. I really suggest to people who come up with silly amateur translations to look up the synopsis of Rigoletto.

    • @jewelmarkess
      @jewelmarkess 11 месяцев назад +1

      You might have an idea what he is singing about, but obviously not the character he plays here which is a villain. It's a clip from the movie version of opera Rigoletto, it's not a stand-alone song. Look up "Rigoletto synopsis" to get an idea. The character who sings it is an absolute ruler of a province in Italy and a libertine who spends his time seducing virgins (in the 16th century, when this means dishonor for girls) and married women while their parents and husbands are powerless. I guess if you think the words are true you can identify with this guy. Someone uploaded the full movie here if you are interested.

    • @daciaromana2396
      @daciaromana2396 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@jewelmarkess Thanks for providing context to this piece. It makes sense that a libertine and villain would have such a cynical view of women. Unfortunately, my personal experience of not only having been betrayed by girls but also seducing girls who are in relationships or even married, has coloured my view of women in a similar fashion. I’d much rather have a more innocent take on women, but in my case, the damage is already done, which is why this piece speaks to me.

    • @jewelmarkess
      @jewelmarkess 11 месяцев назад

      @@daciaromana2396 Sorry to hear you've had such a bad experience. The setting of this opera is 16th century Mantua, so it's very different. The duke is an absolute ruler with the power of life and death over his subjects, and the girl who loses her virginity before marriage is considered "dishonored". If you are interested and look up the plot, use the one from wiki as many contemporary opera productions move the action to different time/place and rewrite the plot accordingly. Wiki has the original plot. Also, people uploaded the full movie here. One of the uploaded versions has English subtitles, I'll try to post a link in a separate comment as sometimes comments with links don't post. But if you search here for "Verdi Rigoletto Ponnelle" you'll find it.

    Woman is flighty.
    Like a feather in the wind,
    she changes in voice
    and in thought.
    Always a lovely,
    pretty face,
    in tears or in laughter,
    it is untrue.
    Woman is fickle.
    Like a feather in the wind,
    she changes her words
    and her thoughts!
    Always miserable
    is he who trusts her,
    he who confides in her
    his unwary heart!
    Yet one never feels
    fully happy
    who from that bosom
    does not drink love!

      The fact that a bunch of dipshits have taken the phrase ‘red pill’ to mean some incel bullshit when the matrix is in fact a beautiful story about the grandest aspects of our reality, the “holographic universe held together by consciousness” theory, the power structures that limit us by keeping the nature of our reality secret so that we do not understand our own power... the fact that morons have taken the phrase ‘red pill’ which should mean ‘to wake up, to realise ones own divinity in a universe in which we are simply god having an individual experience” and changed it to “I can’t get laid so women clearly are all a bunch of bitches” is just. It’s intellectually and emotionally heartbreaking. Also if I were a power structure and I were worried about a movie exposing my corrupt control system, I would make the movie something to be ridiculed by brainwashing one group into feeling anger towards another while using said movie as terminology and justification. Like Luna love good says, if I were “you know who” Id want my enemies to feel alone and cut off from everyone else to make them less of a threat. Just saying. I think if you use the phrase “red pill” to hate on women instead of figuring out how to wake up and connect to other humans over something other than group hatred, I believe that you have in fact swallowed the blue pill. Thanks for the translation tho.

      Ja kiedyś jak miałem Ok.6 lat (jeszcze chyba nie chodziłem do szkoły) rodzice kupili gazetę do której dołączona była płyta z utworami Jose Carrerasa, i "La donna e mobile" spodobała mi się tak bardzo, że potrafiłem słuchać tego kawałka po 10 razy pod rząd. I choć jestem prawie kompletnie amuzyczny lubię wracać do tego utworu.

    I fell in love with opera in the late 70's and this was the first opera i saw start to finish. The beauty of the voices and the darkness of the story was a contrast that so magnificently magnifies the lives we all live.

    The woman is changing
    As a feather in the wind
    She changes her word and her thought
    Always a lovely graceful face
    The crying and the smiling
    Are false
    The woman is changing
    As a feather in the wind
    She changes her word and her thought and her thought and her thought
    Is always miserable
    The one who trusts her
    The one who confides to her, incautious heart!
    Nevertheless is never completely happy
    The one who, on that breast, doesn't offer up a libation to Love The woman is changing
    As a feather in the wind
    She changes her word and her thought and her thought and her thought
    More or less guys 😊

      Woman is fickle
      Give her a tickle
      Hold her waist tightly
