@Saltwater64 i reccomend you to use the backwards jump (hold Z and press A) once he gets close (only reccomended if you are a starter or until you become good at defeating him since this method is kinda boring)

@Cat I can kinda see what you mean. Sometimes Nintendo feels like they’re trying to be serious, but in the N64 days they were more fun. They’re a video game company, so fun should be what they’re all about. The Wii also did a pretty good job at this.

Fun fact: I was replaying Super Mario 64, and my mom was in the room, and my mom, not really knowing much about video games, looked at the outside area for the castle and said "This looks oddly familiar".
Must've unlocked a deep memory or something. I mentioned Stronghold Crusader (which is an RTS/castle sim) once to my mom and she replied "all I remember is these little things constantly flying across the screen", which was in reference to groups of archer units firing swarms of arrows. Parents saw more than we give them credit for, I think.

I know some people don't like how some levels reuse music, but that's the thing about Nintendo games (from 1985-2006 and in the present in the Mario Kart series) where because of storage limitations, they reuse music from another level instead of composing an entirely new song unless they have to (like with Mario 64's final boss theme)

Yeah I just got it on the switch. It’s so good and holds up
I still remember the horror of war in the battlefield. Many toads were all soaked in crystalline water extracted from the mine, their drowned bodies in over hundreds. The sound of water balloons exploding on impact, not caring if friend or foe was the target to take a nice bath. I can still hear the buzzing of human cannonball and the nice summer weather with refreshing humidity. There is not a single day that goes by that I'm not thankful I'm no longer in that hellhole.

I knew almost from the first time I played that the music to Cool, Cool Mountain/Snowman's Land and Tick Tock Clock/Rainbow Ride were different mixes of the same theme, but it took me quite a while longer to realize that this music (Bob-Omb Battlefield/Whomp's Fortress/Tall, Tall Mountain/Tiny-Huge Island) was a third mix as well.
after 30 minutes i truly feel how much better spagheti tastes now.
